CANCELLATION 'DISPEL MAGIC' DISPEL (344)
Syntax: cast 'dispel magic' <target>
cast 'cancellation' <target>
comm 'dispel' <target>
comm 'cancellation' <target>'
All of these remove magical effects from the target. Dispel magic has a reduced
chance of working and is considered an attack spell. Cancellation can only be
used on willing allies, but is much more effective and does not provoke attack.
Dispel is a supplication that can remove other supplications. Unfortunately,
these three do not discriminate between harmful and benign spells/supplications.
The chance of dispelling is based on the level of the spell/supplication. Not
all spells/supplications may be dispelled, notable examples are poison and plague.
