FLOURISH (2453)

Syntax: flourish <victim>

Using their flair for the dramatic, a bard may attempt to intimidate an
unwise foe into believing he or she is a far better fighter than he is.
Elaborate stances, quick movements, and taunts may all form part of the
bard's bag of tricks, against whoever his or her current opponent is.

Flourishes require that the opponent can see the motions, as well as feel
fear. If successful, a flourish may demoralize an opponent and sap their
will and ability to fight. Any party member whom the bard is leading may be
briefly inspired if they see such an effective display of prowess.

Arial bards have particular skill in flourishing, resulting in substantially
increased benefits to them, and detriments to their foes.
