OVERRUN (902)
Syntax: overrun
Despite their bestial natures, Orcs understand that there are some battles that
are beyond the might of an individual Orc but may be won through strength of
numbers. A high level Orc may attempt to lead a force of other humanoids,
such as enslaved creatures or a horde, to overbear an opponent by force of
numbers. This overrunning group must significantly outnumber the target and
their allies.
While the overrun attempt is in progress, attacks by these creatures that would
normally slow the victim's movements, such as bashing or tripping, will not have
their normal effect but will instead work towards subduing the victim. Attempts
by these creatures to pin the victim's arms or otherwise restrain him or her may
also work towards subduing the victim. As the overrun victim nears subdual, his
or her own actions may take more time to perform than they are accustomed to as
the overrunning creatures gang them down. If a victim is successfully subdued,
combat will cease and the victim will be at the mercy of the Orc that led the
charge.
Being subdued is taxing on both mind and body. A subdued victim is helpless,
much as a snared victim is.
