'PETRIFY FLESH' (2518)
Syntax: cast 'petrify flesh' <target>
This spell rigidifies the outer flesh of a victim, provided they have a
metabolism the transmuter can influence. It provides some resistance to all
attacks, but it is capable of exhausting the person bearing it, and will slow
their reaction time somewhat. Svirfnebli are inherently more comfortable with
the transformation, and feel its drawbacks less than others do.
This spell's effects are cumulative with Stone Skin and Corporeal Hardening,
though having it on top of them magnifies how cumbersome it is.
This spell requires the trust of the target to be cast without resistance,
though it may also be used in a hostile fashion.
