AKAN (1120)
Akan, the Dwarven city, lies just south of the Mountain Kingdom of Mortorn and
east of Voralian City. It is set into the mountains, making it difficult for those
who tire easily to travel there.
THE ACADEMY:
The Academy is easily accessible in Akan through the trapdoor in the temple.
SUPPLIES:
Supplies are abundant in Akan and easy to procure for the novice adventurer.
Several shops line its streets, especially around the center square, where
a large fountain is situated for the drinking pleasure of the public.
NEARBY POINTS OF INTEREST:
On the northern edge of town lies castle Akan, a beautiful, splendid place of
the most exquisite Dwarven architecture. I only wish I'd been allowed to visit,
though once again, that's a story for another time. To the west of town, a
series of mines, constructed by the Dwarves themselves, are quite remarkable to
see in their own right, but not really of much use for exploring. A good walk
north, through the valley, the Dwarven Homeland of Mortorn can be found. It is
a fantastic Mountain Kingdom that I have actually had the pleasure of visiting
myself. I highly recommend it, but do mind the Dwarven customs while you visit.
