'DARSYLON' 'DARSYLON PALACE' 'ELVEN NAMES' (208)

The name "Darsylon" refers to several things. First and
foremost, it refers to the surname of an Elven noble house,
which rules a Kingdom of the same name. The name of the
kingdom is derived from the name of the stronghold where
the House of Darsylon has resided since time long forgotten
to even the ancient elves, known now as Darsylon Palace.
Those elves who dwell in the forest valleys near to the
Palace, and who have sworn nominal loyalty to the monarch
who heads the House of Darsylon, are often referred to as
"Darsylon Elves."

Darsylon Elves range from the more rustic wild elves which
live on the fringes of the Kingdom, to the high society
of the noble houses which have pledged fealty to the monarch
of Darsylon since ancient times. One note of importance on
the names of Elves from Darsylon, is that their names almost
universally end in a vowel for the females, and a consonant
for the males. The sole exceptions to this are found at the
very far edges of the Kingdom, and are often regarded with
reactions ranging from amusement to outright scorn and
ridicule by those Darsylon Elves who live closer to the
Palace, particularly those of the noble houses, whose naming
rules are said to be far more intricate than those of the
general populace.
