'THE SLAVE MINES OF SITRAN' (2859)
Somewhere in the mountains of Udgaard lie the dark and forbidding mines
that provide that city with their iron ore for weapons and armor. Worked
by slave labor, the conditions in the mines are harsh and brutal; the
lifespan of a slave in the mines can be measured in scant months. This is
due mainly to the disciplinary measures meted out by the slavers and their
leader Sitran, as they attempt to maximize the ore coming out of the mines.
Despite ardent attempts by the rulers of Udgaard to squash them, rumors of
an uprising among the slaves of the mines flit through the cramped byways
and dark alleys. Adventurers should be aware that the slavers do not like
visitors to the mines, and will take direct action to keep adventurers out.
