BATTLE BATTLERAGERS RAGERS VILLAGE VILLAGERS TAHREN 'BATTLE RAGERS' DRILLMASTER COMMANDER (3043)
The ancient betrayal of the anti-magic army by the Mages of Order during the Chaos wars led to the formation of the BattleRagers, a dedicated group who seek the utter obliteration of the sources of magic and those who practice the arcane arts. Deemed the most proficient students of combat from the Guildhalls of warriors, thieves, assassins, rangers and bards, BattleRagers have dedicated their lives to the study of warfare, and focused that study and their rage upon the destruction of magic. Villagers are proud to rely soley upon their own battle prowess as they wage their war, and eschew the use of priestly blessings in all but the most limited capacity. The BattleRagers are divided into three paths: Defenders, Scouts and Berserkers. Defenders are dedicated to the rudimentary battlefield healing arts and protection of their fellow Villagers in combat. Scouts are primarily focused on stealth, gathering vital information about the enemies of the Village, and exploiting that information during combat. Berserkers thrive on combat, and have been known to achieve mighty feats while engaged in battle. Once chosen, a Villager will follow that path for the rest of their life. The BattleRagers currently dwell in a barbarian Village near the ruins of a once great city, now leveled by warfare. Those who wish to join the Village must seek out the Noldarian smith Tahren in his forge outside the Village after having slain at least one mage. He has the ability to mark applicants as such, and grant them very limited powers to see their hated foes. Once that is complete, they should seek out current members and gain recommendations. When deemed worthy by enough Villagers, they must speak with the Commander of Battle for their final testing. Applicants should strive to uphold the philosophies of the Village, seeking the destruction of the arcane and not allowing the taint of magic upon their person.
