UDGAARD (851)
The jaettes are an evil race of large, troll-like creatures, but their evil
nature is controlled by the rule of one man, known simply as Udgaard Loke.
At the center of his domain lies Udgaard Loke's Farm. This enormous
city-state has retained its ancient name despite its growth, and lies
beyond the mountains, north of Voralian City and Tir-Talath. Udgaard Loke
controls everything in his town, and keeps it that way by bribery, deceit,
murder, and extortion. As such, those who live in the Farm live under
strict regulations and those who disobey are summarily punished.
The Dark Temple straight north of the town's center has a fountain for
the town's water needs. Food can be purchased at Kron's Spits or the
Circle Cafe, both on Bloodstone Lane, slightly south of the main courtyard.
The local Academy can be reached from the Dark Temple, and young adventurers
often hone their skills in the fields east of town, or later the mountains
south of it. Being land-locked, boats are in short supply. The local economy
does build them on occasion, but the prices are exorbitant.
Paladins are strictly forbidden from entering the city under penalty of death.
