GOBLIN VILLAGE 'GOBLIN VILLAGE' (923)

The Goblin village (suggested for levels 2-10) lies all the way south
from Market Square, through the silverwood, then one step to the east,
once to the south, then all the way east again. The path through the
village is very poorly constructed and is thus a forested place, quite
capable of allowing a ranger to camouflage him or herself. There is a
cave near the village as well.
There are a couple of creatures in the area that are quite aggressive
and dangerous to a young adventurer, both of which are located in the
cave outside the village. All the mobs in the village and cave are evil,
with the exception of an elf that the orcs have taken prisoner. One of
the aggressive creatures in the cave is a troll, and the other is a
shaman of the goblin village, and he remains invisible most of the time,
so it's difficult to spot him. Just keep in mind that he likes to be
alone, and will usually be the only creature in his particular room. All
the regular goblins outside the cave are rather docile and cowardly and
are easily defeated by an experienced adventurer. The orcs inside the
cave are slightly tougher. The troll and the goblin shaman are strong,
and probably shouldn't be attempted alone until you're a little higher
than level 10.
There are several useful items in the area, and are useful for any low-
level character, regardless of class. The shaman's robe is good as a
light source and provides a slight mana (HELP MANA) and intelligence
bonus. The wide bronze belt, held by the troll commander is good in that
it carries a hit point (HELP HP) bonus, as well as strength and
constitution. The commander and shaman carry an axe and mace
respectively that should be of interest to young adventurers who use
such weapons. Both are of higher quality than any practice weapons and
are easily obtainable before reaching the 11th rank.
