Background and Direction

Added Fri Sep 15 12:43:06 2023 at level 7:
Aashrith Myshayla, a resolute female Elven paladin and distant
cousin of the noble House of Darsylon, is not only a devoted follower of the
Paladin Code but also a sharp-tongued warrior fiercely dedicated to the cause
of good. She strives to represent the virtues of retribution and prudence in
combat, knowing it will ultimately be up to Baerinika, whom she hope to
follow as a patron, to determine if she truly embodies these qualities.
Aashrith's unwavering commitment to the principles of honor and justice guide
her actions. She understands the relentless nature of war and the need for a
clear, focused mind to effectively strike at wicked foes.

Path:
Planning to choose the path of a Shield Dedicant, something she took to
quickly, Aashrith received her initial training from the Darsylon Guard and
the Paladin Guild. Upon proving herself skillful, she was approved to depart
from her duties to join the Academy. Her goal is clear: to join the as a
squire to the Brigade of the Fortress of Light, located near Voralia, and
stand against the encroaching darkness.

Approach to Mercy:
Aashrith's approach to mercy is unwavering in its
dedication to the Light, although she is does not hold back giving even her
closest ally a piece of her mind. However, she refuses to grant any form of
mercy to those of wicked heart, understanding that the forces of darkness
must be met with unwavering resolve.

View on Neutrality:
Aashrith remains cautious and untrusting of those of a
neutral alignment. In her eyes, the struggle between good and evil is
paramount, and those who remain neutral in the face of such conflicts raise
questions about their commitment to righteousness. She refuses the company of
those who walk the path of neutrality until she knows them well enough to
trust their intentions. She would never strike out at them without reason,
but she will not stand by while they do harm to the Light in any way.

Backround and Direction pt2

Added Fri Sep 15 12:44:42 2023 at level 7:
Sharp-Tongued:
Aashrith's sharp tongue often reveals itself when
she encounters individuals she feels are not taking the war against evil
seriously or when they become distracted by selfishness. Her patience can
wear thin when she perceives indifference or a lack of commitment to the
cause. To her, the fight against wickedness is of utmost importance, and she
expects others to share her unwavering resolve.

The Code and Tribunal Law:
Aashrith is a strict follower of the paladin code.
She takes everything closely to heart, being mindful of her material
possessions, her actions, and unwavering in her ideals. The only struggle she
has is with respect for the laws, or more importantly those who enforce them.
She will remain steadfast in keeping outside the bound of criminality and be
open to good relations with those of the Spire that are also of the Light,
but she will chafe greatly in any dealing with the wicked magistrates. She
will not break the law, but will not be an open participant in any
investigations such magistrates approach her with.

Aashrith's First Meeting with Baerinika

Added Sat Sep 16 20:57:31 2023 at level 13:
Amidst the untamed wilderness of Thera, Aashrith found herself standing
before the awe-inspiring presence of Baerinika, the formidable goddess of
combat.

Baerinika, in her infinite wisdom, imparted insights regarding the path of
righteousness, emphasizing the significance of virtues and unwavering
beliefs. Under the goddess's divine guidance, Aashrith was urged to engage in
introspection and seek out kindred spirits who embodied these ideals, a
crucial aspect of her sacred journey.

As she ventured forth on her path, Aashrith's fate intertwined with that of
Lekai, a young and aspiring paladin whose heart was pure but spirit hesitant.
Lekai's inexperience with the harsh realities of Thera was evident, and in
him, Aashrith recognized the embodiment of the virtue of temperance. While
her own journey was marked by quick, calculated strides, Lekai's measured
approach, characterized by caution and restraint, which is something that
suited them well even if she did not see such a fit for herself.

Many days later, Aashrith had the privilege of conversing with Aobe, a
venerable paladin and a standing devotee of Baerinika. Their exchange also
delved into the profound aspects of virtue and introspection. Aobe, sharing
that they represented the virtue of prudence, shared their own insights.

As they spoke, Aashrith reflected on her own character and the virtue she
felt she more readily embodied: retribution. She understood the gravity of
her calling and recognized that wielding the sword of justice for the Light
required more than just physical prowess. She spoke to Aobe about how she was
forewarned in her training and knew the dangers in such a calling, and spoke
to how she thought often about situations that may be waiting for her, and
with forethought and planning she would be as prepared and she could be to to
be less likely to be caught off-guard.

A Graveyard on Hallows' Eve Night pt.1

Added Sun Sep 24 04:02:34 2023 at level 33:
In the dark of the moonless night, a faint mist hung over the ancient
graveyard near the outlying villages, casting eerie shadows upon the
weathered tombstones. Among the gravestones, Aashrith Myshayla, the resolute
paladin, stood, her armor gleaming in the pale moonlight. She had come here
not to pay respect to lost souls, but to face a chilling challenge on this
Hallows' Eve night.

Rumors had circulated through the nearby village to Arkham, tales of a
malevolent spirit that haunted the graveyard. It was said that the ghost,
known as the Specter of Shadows, sought vengeance against the living, its
torment never-ending. With her unwavering commitment to the Light, Aashrith
could not ignore the pleas of the uncorrupted villagers. She knew it was her
duty to confront this spectral threat.

As she ventured deeper into the graveyard, Aashrith felt the temperature
drop, and an unnatural chill settled in her bones. Suddenly, a whispering
wind hissed through the ancient trees, carrying with it a haunting melody.
The tombstones seemed to shift and sway in rhythm to the ghostly tune.

Aashrith tightened her grip on her shimmering baton and shield, her
dedication to the Code her only source of solace in this eerie realm, and of
course the Lady Baerinika, who was always with her. Her steps echoed eerily
against the cobblestone path as she followed the haunting melody toward the
heart of the graveyard.

There, beneath a gnarled oak tree, she saw ita faint, translucent figure
cloaked in shadow, its eyes burning with malevolence. The Specter of Shadows
had manifested before her, its form shifting and swirling like smoke.

With steely resolve, Aashrith raised her sword and called upon the very
essence of retribution, her blade ablaze with divine energy. She moved to
strike, her heart filled with the righteousness of her cause. But as her
sword cut through the specter, it passed right through, leaving the ghost
unharmed.

A Graveyard on Hallows' Eve Night pt.2

Added Sun Sep 24 04:07:20 2023 at level 33:
The Specter of Shadows let out a chilling, otherworldly wail that pierced the
night. Aashrith staggered back, momentarily shaken. She knew this was no
ordinary foe: it was a being of pure malevolence and something she sense now
that was unexpected, pain.

In that dire moment, Aashrith remembered the words of Baerinika. She realized
that perhaps defeating this spectral menace required more than just physical
strength, in this case-it demanded the embodiment of the virtues like
bravery that rought her here, but also empathy, and kindness.

With newfound determination, Aashrith sheathed her sword and extended her
hand toward the ghostly figure and realized, there was no aura of the wicked
about this figure, only radiating suffering and pain. She spoke words of
compassion and understanding, urging the spirit to find peace and release its
vengeful grip on the living.

The Specter of Shadows hesitated, its malevolence waning. Aashrith's
unwavering commitment to Light, yet also her willingness to show kindness to
even the most tormented souls had touched the spirit's ethereal heart.

With a final, mournful sigh, the ghostly figure dissipated into the night,
leaving the graveyard in peace hearing a faint splashing sound, as if it
pushed off into a slow moving river. Unexpectedly, this monster was not as it
first appeared to be. Aashrith had not just banished a malevolent spirit
had shown that even in the darkest of times, the virtues of the Paladin Code
could ease the pain of one trying to hold on to a life now lost.

As she walked back through the graveyard, the eerie mist began to lift, and
the moonlight shone once more. Aashrith, the steadfast paladin, knew that her
duty to protect the living continued, and she carried with her the knowledge
that on this Hallow's Eve night, she had not only faced a possible ghostly
menace but had also embodied the additional virtues she so fervently believed
in.
