Description

Before you stands a large blue-green figure. Large bulky shoulders give way to his giant ancestory. His skin is smooth, glossy, and covered with strategically placed scars. A tight pair of sharkskin shorts cover him past his knees. Barefoot and shirtless, a small hooped earing hangs from his left ear. A bone of some sort has pierced the middle of his nose and spreads nearly the length of his face. His head is cleanly shaved and strange markings cover his head in a tribal manor. A hard distant look is settled over his face.

As a young storm giant, Ackuol lived a sheltered life in a small underwater
villager. Perhaps his life was not completely sheltered but it was simple
made up of hunting, farming, and general survival in the deep unexplored
regions of teh ocean. For years he learned to hunt and forage with his
elders. When harvest time came around, he worked with all the other
tribesman. Rice, kelp and other underwater vegetables without names were the
boon of many months planting and farming. A wide variety of sea creatures
were hunted to keep the village fed during the months before and after the
harvest. Fish mainly, yet shark, calamari and blue whale were on the list
from time to time. Yet he was young, his apprenticeship to an older hunter
was his first taste of the hunt.

The Ka'gez tribe would hunt in parties of two, a hunter and his apprentice.
When the apprentice was ready, he would leave on his own and bring back
something that he killed on his own. Most brought whales and sharks, but
ackuol sought after one of the most feared creatures of the water, a sea
dragon. Nearly a week went by before Ackuol one of the sea dragons teeth.
Pulling behind him was the massive body of a magnificent creature. Small bits
of armor Ackuol had made for himself out of the dragon in those few weeks
after his coming of age before the problems started.

After he had returned to the village, a few of his perrs (who use to be his
elders) were missing from the village along with their apprentices. Several
days to nearly a theran week and a half finally arrive. Most were beat up and
bruised, several apprentices had not returned with their mentors, yet one
thing was for certain, the food that they had returned with would not feed
the village for more than a day. Luckily Ackuol had brought the dragon and
so, his contribution was well recieved. The beat up elders talked madness to
each other and so a meeting was held in a coral hut with only elders to speak
so as not to worry the rest of the village.

. Jhinlo says "Z'it vas one of ja biggest zharks iz eva zeen. Itz moved
zviftly an vit' conviction not zeen in oders o'dey zpeciez. And dey eyez," He
shivered "too human fur anae natural zhark."
. Kelpondou spoke next, an inquisitive look upon his features, "tell uz
more, vhat vas it color'd like? Ana' o'er diztingizhin' feature'z?"
. "Like anae oder zhark, vhite underbella, vit dark blue bein' on its
top." Jhinlo said.

Many others spoke of what they saw, walrus's, and even a dolphin that was
confronted about killing all the school of fish that a hunter and his
apprentice had tracked. The dolphin turned upon the hunter and his
apprentice, soon killing the apprentice but the hunter had managed to stick
him in the gut, a painful stroke with the quad-barbed spears that the hunters
used. The dolphin changed shape into a dark skinned frail elf that uttered a
few words and disappeard.

. Quiet in the background, Ackuol listened intently and then spoke up, "We
should beh puttin' two groups togader at all times," with steel in his eyes
he met the gaze of everyone with a look of steady dedication. "Do not sen'
apprentic'z wit' dem, and let us hunt down des predators befur we become dey
prey."

With this said, the hunters agreed and set togather scouting parties that
would take guard every night. Soon the hunting parties set out and brought
few, of what were found out later to be magi from the surface, down to feed
the villagers and fishes. Elders were slain at every engagement and the
village then held another meeting months after the first problem. Since the
village was starving and the mages had increased in number, they decided to
send a group of elders led by Ackuol to the surface, to try and seek help as
well as return with food.

The party arrived at the docks of a desert port city, a priest and ten elder
hunteres. They had no money to buy food, and so they sold a bit of seaweed
gathered on the way to get a bit of food for them, prepared to return to the
village empty handed. They told their story all around Hamsah, at the pubs,
Inns, and guilds. Someone cloaked figure mentioned to Ackuol that there were
a group of villagers to the west that hunted mages solely. The priest headed
back to the village the next day as five of the best hunters, including
Ackuol stayed to seek out this village and hunt sorcerers.

In the first few weeks a couple of the warriors died in the efforts to fight
the mages. Another was caught in a trap at a forested crossroads by a
woodland warrior and a tall red giant, that later became known as a fire
giant. Apparently on the surface there was a big racial hatred between them
and Ackuol's kin the storm giant. Ackuol had no sense of good or evil. He
only wished to provide for his village again, and go back to his simple life,
but he would not rest until the magi were purged from the world. As such the
giant Ackuol Ka'gez, searched for the Battleragers, Haters of Magic.

Ackuol's efforts towards the destruction of magic did not go unnoticed. He
spoke with a few villagers, and soon Lady Sabiene, one of the divine
leadership of the village, descended from the heavens to speak with him.
After a long talk, she greeted Ackuol's entrance into the village. Soon he
arrived and started building his hut.

With the village as his home, and battleragers as his brothers and sisters,
Ackuol fight hard beside them. He fought hard and couragous in his personal
battle against magic. Everyone few months, he would return to his village
underwater and visit. He would do his chores around the village for a few
days before returning to the surface. Time stretched on, and began to fill
more of the cracks between his visits. After a while Ackuol's visits became
less and less as his time was consumed with the war.

Finally he had reached the top of his guild. He then took a short time to
visit his home in the ocean. When he arrived, it had been a little more than
a year since his last visit, only parts of the coral homes that he had called
his village were left. Broken bones and snapped weapons littered the pathways
inbetween what was left of the coral houses. Falling to his knees Ackuol
wept. If only he had returned earlier he could have prevented this, or so he
thought. A sadness came over him, but he heard the whispers of the siege to
come if the village, his only home, could not stop these magi soon.

With this happening, he asked the Commander of the village, a dark elf by the
name of Iborenn if there was more that he could do to strengthen the village.
He hopped to train the villagers with all that he knew so that pulling the
tainted magic from the mortals that tried to wield it.
