Description
Although dressed in a simple undied woolen robe, this elf still has a regal
bearing about him. His short blonde hair has been neatly trimmed leaving his
pointed ears clearly on display. His facial features are angular and his
pale blue eyes look out calmly from beneath his delicate eyebrows. He is
thin and long of limb and moves with the grace one would expect of an elf.

Adalephon, the only child of the family, was born in Darsylon to what would
be considered a middle class family, not too rich yet my no means destitute,
and before him was at the very least a comfortable life. His father was a
Paladin, strongly motivated by a desire to see the end of any and all evil in
the land his zeal such that he expected this same desire to burn in the
hearts and souls of all high elves. Adalephon did not share his fathers
views yet having been browbeaten a number of times chose to keep quiet about
his opinions for the sake of peace within the home, that is not to say that
Adalephon did not care about matters of light and dark, just he felt that
there were other ways to go about addressing the situation other than with
firebrand and steel.
Adalephons mother was a transmuter and her view of the world was far more
open and certainly less violent. Adalephon had started to learn his art from
her at an early age showing an aptitude for magic, learning simple cantrips
to keep himself amused as a child and as he grew he decided that he wanted to
explore the art further and proceeded to learn with the guild in the city as
soon as he was of age.
Angered by Adalephon's choice Ezarlid, his father, refused to speak to his
son convinced that he had been betrayed by Adalephon refusing to follow him
in the path of a holy warrior. Only after a number of years of his mother,
Yemislil, mediating between the two did father and son speak again.
Walking back to the family home after his days lessons, Adalephon was
startled by a commotion at the edge of the woods leading into the city and
could not help moving closer to see what was taking place. The sight that
confronted him left him reeling. On the ground at the feet of the city
guards was a drow, the first Adelephon had seen, her pale violet eyes casting
around in panic as she had been near killed from the kiss of the mithril
blades of the gurads her eyes settling on Adalephon he barely caught her
whisper 'I came in peace, I did not wi...' Her words cut off by the swift
blade slicing her throat. Stunned Adelephon watched as the crowd who had
gatherd congratulated the guardsmen, the sentiment which passed being that
the only good drow were dead, and though he could in a way understand this
feeling, the innocence in the eyes of the drow who died before him wether
real or feigned, burned in his mind. He turned and made his way home, where
his father who had at last began to aknowledge his presence again saw his son
shaken, asked what had happened. Adalephon explained what he had seen, and
his father stated rather calmly that the guards had done thier duty, the drow
by virtue of its lineage and lack of attonement with the gods had forfieted
its right to live. Reeling Adelephon did not argue, just made his way to his
room and sat thinking.

His mind was made up, he would leave. He could no longer in good concience
live under the so called protection of a city which cared nothing of the
lives it took nor in the home of his father who would see Adalephon pressed
into service to fight a war he did not feel quite comfortable with. He
glanced about his humble room, and decided that he would not take anything
with him, a fresh start would mean for him just that, he would meet his needs
himself.
He spoke briefly with his mother in the faint pre-dawn light as he left
meeting her eyes as he did "I go now mother, please take good care of
yourself." He kissed her forehead fighting back the tears in his eyes, the
understanding that she met him with and the effort that was evident stopping
her from asking him to stay knowing that if she had, he very well may not
have left.
As he turned to leave the tears rolled freely down his cheeks, she whispered
after him in a voice thick with emotion "You take care of yourself Adalephon,
the road ahead of you is frought with danger, but it is yours to walk child
and walk it you must."
The days passed and he found himself in halls of Evermoon, his new home, he
continued his studies and felt much more at peace. It was here that he came
to learn of Thar-Eris in any meaningful way, meeting a fellow elf in the
guildhall who said that they saught the return, as he put it. They spoke at
length, and the mysterious elf would return from time to time and answer the
questions which Adalepon had for them. During these conversations something
inside Adalephon came alive, he felt a desire to see what had been spoken of
come to pass, a world where there was true freedom. The elf stopped showing
up after a while, yet Adalephon's desire did not wane, so he set out to find
this Tree of Ages, to make it clear that he too would work to bring about the
rise of Thar-Eris.
