Description

Flowing locks of achromatic hair that has a tinge of blue wisp around the body of this tall elven woman, as if moved by a wind that surrounds only her. Through the maelstrom of locks, her blue eyes catch your attention, the hue of blue fading from a light azure to a deep purple. High arching white eye brows, well defined angular features and pointed ears reconfirm her elfin heritage. Her skin is the color of porcelain, untouched or unaffected by the rays of the sun. Physically fit, well defined muscles reveal her profession to be of the martial nature you also notice a small charm shaped in the likeness of a dragons tooth hanging from her neck.

Role

Might and Magic

Added Sat May 10 20:50:14 2008 at level 45:
As they traveled through the rocky paths of Mount Calandaryl, laying to rest
the restless undead Adehel found to know hate, a feeling unknown to her since
now. As she stalked the skeletal warriors a fury from deep inside her
revealed itself. A hate of all things undead, her companion saw that she
would strike at these soulless beings with a force that he ought uncapable by
one so slight of frame. She explained to him that she would almost go into a
trance in battle with the undead, perhaps her link to the spirits of nature
has begun to strengthen.

As they traveled she came to learn of the reason why this particular villager
hated magic, also, that all members regardless of ethos or moral standing
seek to destroy all magic often forming some strange alliances. She found it
interesting that while hating the Art they were tied to it much like the
wizards. They feel the fluctuations of the Veil and grow weak or strong as it
thins and thickens. She felt a tinge of jealousy, how lucky must one be to
sense the Veil itself!

At the end of her journey, she came to the conclusion that the villagers are
needed to keep a sort of balance. If Magic floods in, it can cause
uncontrolled bursts of magical power and as entertaining as that may be, the
end result could hurt some innocents, an unacceptable possibility. She is
also aware that some of the tainted magic haters will attack her on sight,
one for being of the high blood and two for her worship of Lord Twist. These
attacks she will defend herself against, but will leave the hunting of the
wicked to the Squires and Maran. She will simply continue on her path to
reach the pinnacle of her guild, aiding all whom follow the light in any way
and exploring places deemed magical within Thera.

Purpose Revealed

Added Thu Mar 27 13:11:57 2008 at level 23:
Leaving the Consortium she sought the solace of the mountains, she longed to
see the snow, it always made her feel better. The encounter with the God of
Magic had taken an emotional toll, an emotional person before the encounter,
she now had little control of her feelings, many would consider her moody.
She headed east, through the Pass that was known to lead to Eryn Galen.

Spotting the highest peak in the range, she made towards it, it was an easy
trek for her, the mountains were her home. As she travelled, she came upon a
wood elf, camouflaged so well that he looked like part of the rock face.
Anyone other than Adehel would have simply not seen him.

The wood elf turned to her and said, "I sense the gift of the Mother in you
high blood, she asks for vengeance against the diggers to the west, bring me
the beads that the head engineer wears and she will reward you." He then
turned towards the dwarven encampment to continue his vigil.

Adehel simply kept making her way towards the highest peak, the encampment
was near the peak regardless and her curiosity had been roused.

The camp was smack dab in the middle of the mountain range, an excellent
defensive position she thought, it was protected mountains on the north and
south. The pass was very well protected. She approached the gate openly, the
dwarves simply nodded, motioned her to approach. She asked politely where the
head engineer was stationed and was escorted to meet with him.

They met in his office, Adehel sensed that the light was the path that this
dwarf followed, digger or not she could not bring herself to strike another
lightwalker especially when he explained the purpose of the fortification.

She informed the good engineer that there were some wood elves looking to
slay him and his kind. He thanked her and she was on her way. As she left,
the dwarf smiled and called for a messenger, he quickly scribbled something
on a piece of parchment and stated, "Quickly boy take dis to d'Fortress o.
Light, give it to d'Cardinal himself an no one else ye hear!?"

As she made her way to the peak, she felt really good about herself, she had
helped a fellow lightwalker, perhaps even saving his life.

Arriving at the peak she felt almost immediate relief, the snowy mountain top
made her mood change, she was happy once again. As she gazed towards the
south, a cheerful melody resounded in the canyon, she looked to the east and saw
a handsome human making his way towards the peak, he did not seem to tire,
the melody seemed to carry him on towards the peak, never missing a step and
seeming not to tire.

As he arrived to the peak, he stopped singing, "Hello Adehel, I have heard
about you!"

Adehel blinked and asked, "Who are you?"

The man answered, "I am known to many as the Cardinal of the Golden Sun." He
smiled and continued, "Your wandering of Thera as a lost soul has ended." He
paused considering the elf before him, "But a new journey with purpose has
begun, the light reveals all and you were revealed to me. Welcome Squire, for
you finally found your true home."

Reports filtered to the dwarven commanders that many a Third Brigade sentry
heard the barking of a dog coming from deep within the mountain range.

Encounters

Added Thu Mar 27 12:57:57 2008 at level 23:
The Consortium had been Adehel's home, she even found an underground cavern
system created by Magic that felt comfortable, she felt as if she was still
in the wilds. While deep in her studies, attempting to unlock the secrets of
weather magic she heard the sounds of fighting just outside the compound, she
quickly buckled on her armor, picked up her shield and sword and headed to
defend her new home.

When arriving at the scene, the metallic behemoth that protected all who
dwelled inside the Consortium lay in pieces, a felar stood over the rubble,
she had heard of about a ranger that sought draconic lore and this one
matched the description.

Suddenly there was a flash of light, she felt the same nausea that she had
felt when the funny little dog revealed her arcane gift. She squinted trying
to focus on what had just revealed itself.

As her eyes adjusted to the bright light, she realized who had unveiled his
presence, the Lord of Magic himself! She grinned, the Lord Twist must have
come to punish the wretched feline, suddenly the Lord focused his attention
on Adehel, he simply nodded towards the elf she collapsed on the ground sound
asleep.

When she woke, she quickly scanned the area and found a piece of the guardian
that was big enough to hide her form. She sprinted towards it, cowering,
tears of fear streamed down her cheeks behind the piece of metal in hopes
that Lord Twist would not put her to sleep again!

The felar nearby simply observed as the Lord of all that is Arcane, appeared
next to Adehel's sobbing form, lay a hand on her shoulder and uttered, " The
blessing of Magic upon you, elf.." A flash of light consumed his form and he
was gone.

The tears that streamed down Adehel's face had stopped, the touch of the God
had sent her emotions on overload she could do nothing but stand there. The
felar then said, "You have much potential elf, but all is not what it seems."

As the felar turned and headed for the plains, Adehel was left alone and in
shock, next to the rubble that was once the protector of the Consortium and
without a home.

Memories and Discoveries

Added Fri Mar 21 03:35:49 2008 at level 15:
Leaving Darsylons embrace has not been easy for Adehel, she often thinks of
her mother, the look of disappointment or was it pity? The mere thought of
pity made her blood boil and her resolve strengthen. The long treks far from
home have aided in toughening the once pampered child, she has learned many
skills that allow her to survive on her own without aid. So long has she been
away from the comforts of an engineered construct that she has grown
accustomed to sleeping under the stars and she has learned to navigate the
most difficult trails with ease. She would often remember her father, how he
would become winded when he would emerge from the laboratory and take her to
the park, he would always cast the flight incantation a few minutes into the
walk to be able to keep up with Adehel. I have been well passed the park in
Darsylon father, she often thinks to herself.

After the run in with that little dog, she lost the ability to cast the minor
elemental incantations, but through experience learned a minor protection
spell. The rush she feels when uttering the words for the incantation has
become addicting to her, she practices the spell regularly in hopes of
understanding the intricacies and maybe learn another spell!

She often hopes that little dog will appear once again, to explain what is
happening to her. She does not know whether to praise or curse the appearance
of the canine, but senses that the dog is important on what kind of hand she
will be dealt by the deck of fate. Too often when things do not go her way,
she finds herself muttering a few choice words directed at the mystical dog.

On one of her treks near the mountains south of Udgaard, she found a place
called the Consortium. When she approached the gates, a gigantic metal
construct appeared, its limbs crackling with mystical energy, she could not
help but stare and revel how beautiful guardian was. As it came to life she
instinctively raised her moonstone shield vainly to defend herself, the
construct simply stood its ground leaving the portal open for her to continue
on.

Slipping silently into the Consortium, she drew many stares, she was no mage,
why did the guardian golem allow her to enter? As she progressed deeper into
the Consortium some of the magi thought they heard a bark coming from deep
inside the compound but it was quickly dismissed as a door slamming or an
ancient tome falling from a bookshelf.

Revelation

Added Tue Feb 26 01:17:52 2008 at level 1:
Born of the pure blood, the first born, Adehel can trace her lineage back to
when the hammer and anvil forged creation. Born to a house of sorcerers and
enchanters who belonged to the court of Darsylon, she was consummated at the
proper moment so she would take her first breath under the sphere of Magic.
There was an error in the calculations, while being born under the sphere of
the arcane, she was born late within the time period so the sphere of the
Seasons is also entwined around her soul. While this was dismissed as a
simple miscalculation, it would have a lasting effect of what her talent
would become.

A child that would live for nearly an eon, she grew up slow by human
standards, by the time she was a century old many a human would have passed
from this world to the next. For her, she had just reached puberty. Those
years, she was allowed to roam the frozen forests of the North, near the
razed village, just west of the dark citadel known as Udgaard. While the
inhabitants of such a place where vile and corrupt, they feared the wrath of
order to try anything against a young elfin maiden, especially one of noble
blood but nevertheless there were a pair of palace guards shadowing her every
move.

Her treks in the cold mountains were wondrous, frolicking under the pines,
heavy with snow, Mount Calandaryls looming presence would act as a marker so
she would know how far she had ventured from home. She felt at home within
the snowy mountains, the cold did not seem to bother her to the chagrin of
her bodyguards. She felt when the seasons would change, when the first snows
would come and when they would melt. She hated when spring would come, as
the frost faded, streams of tears would cascade off her pale cheeks.

On her walks she noticed how even in this serene environment, the powers of
Light and Dark played their game with the mortals, the Paladins fought on the
side of the Barbarians to avenge the razing the settlement from what she
could figure the Loke was to blame for it. This battle was just a small part
of the larger game that Gods played with the short lived races. They did not
or rather chose not to see the damage they were causing to the one thing that
could never be bought, controlled or fenced in, The Mother, Thera.

As adolescence ended, so did her walks, she was pulled in close to and
enrolled in the academies of the arcane.

As she progressed through the academy, her skills in the arcane came with
ease, she was a child of the dragon, the one over power named Twist but, as
she advanced , the more difficult spells especially those linked to the
evocation and invocation schools she could not commit to memory. As the
thought of a blazing wall of fire came to her mind, she would become
distracted and think on what would happen if this fire happened in her
beloved pine forest to the north? It would be horrible! She would even pity
the Udgaardian patrollers who scouted the hills in vain, the barbarian
waiting to ambush and paladins full of self righteousness that they blinded
themselves from the truth, they would all be lost to the imaginary inferno.

Her day dreaming would sometimes gain a harsh scolding from her instructors,
they came so often that she had grown to expect them on a daily basis. But
one day, the scoldings did not come, only c
