Description

The dwarf before you stands at a little over four feet tall, when he is standing tall that is. His stumpy form is rather wide when compared to his height. His shoulders, with the clothing he wears, would have to be nearly four feet across. His beard, like any respectable dwarf, comes down to near his knees, and is well kept. It is a dark brown in colour, nearly as wide as his body, and seems to be an organised mass of chaotic hair. A couple of ties on either side of his beard hold together loose long braids that span from a little under where his chin should be to past his waist. His beards dark brown arms stretch up past his mouth, engulfing the line of his chin and covering most of his cheeks, stopping only at his broad ears. His longish hair is pulled back behind his head into a losse ponytail, most likely to keep it from falling into his eyes or getting in his way. His bright yet somewhat light blue eyes are contrasted by his beard well and are evenly spread out above his straight and broad nose. His eyebrows, much like the rest of his visible hair, are extremely bushy and appear to look more like two squirrels have decided to nest upon his face then eyebrows. His short limbs, much like the rest of his body, are extremely broad and suit his frame well, yet unlike the rest of him they appear to twitch ever so slightly no matter if they are resting or in full swing. Between gaps in his clothing and armour you can make out markings upon his skin, dark tattoos of various shapes and patterns that seem to be leading towards his hands.

Role

Leaving my village

Added Sat Feb 12 03:46:37 2005 at level 42:
It has come time that I recorded what had occured, so that I never forget and
also so that if something should happen to me then they know where to take
the news. The catalyst for everything, for me leaving my village, for me
leaving those I loved, surprisingly, was the most joyous moment of my life,
my wedding.

I had been engaged to Lillea for over a year and it was due time that I did
something about it. The wedding was beautiful, there was ale all round, all
of our families came to congratulate us. The sun was high, not a cloud in the
sky, it was nearly a perfect day and I was happy, I was truly happy. Then
came time for our honeymoon, all of my family pleaded with me to not take it
away from the village, to not leave but to have it here in my new house. But
I persisted, I wanted us to journey to the flat lands, away from my family
for awhile. So the time came that we walked away from the temple with our
packs and supplies, headed for the low lands. It was a good walk, until we
finally left the many passes that kept our village isolated. Once we made it
to the flat lands things started to change. People didn't greet us, they
hardly even noticed us. We recieved no smiles from the people and it seemed
the only thing the people wanted to give out were frowns and glares. It made
me feel uneasy, yet this was not even the begining. We came across too many
burnt out villages, destroyed crops, children with no parents to protect
them. It was horrible, there was so much pain and agony, so much being taken
when there was nothing to give. It sickened us, me moreso then Lillea, she
seemed to weep on the outside but then get over it. I was weeping on the
inside, yet it was going nowhere, it was staying with me wherever I went.
Then we came across a village that was still on fire. Lillea wanted us to
stay away, to not venture too close, but I could not. I would not sit by and
watch people who needed aid go without and die. So I ran away from Lillea, I
ran towards the village in hope of finding some people still alive, but all I
found were orcs, orcs of all different sizes looting from the dead and
burning what they didn't want.

As I walked the distance back to Lillea I was able to think about everything.
I knew that I would not be able to go back to the village to live with the
sadness that was inside, there was no way. It would not just disperse in
time, I knew that, I felt what I did for a reason, that much was certain.
When I was near enough to Lillea for her to see me I think she realised it
to. She started crying, perhaps it was the fact I was covered in blood, both
mine and the orcs or maybe she had felt that in turning my back on her I had
changed. I think she realised that I would not be going with her back home.
She could tell when she looked into my eyes so she did not try to argue,
there was no need. She knew that my heart had broken, that seeing the horrors
down here had destroyed any chance there was of settling down back at the
village. Just before she left me to head home she spoke words that hammered
themselves into me, ones I will never forget "Aeleck, ah love yah, ah always
will, but ah can see that yah've changed. Yah aint tha same person ah fell in
love with, yah aint tha person who wanted ta start a family. Know this
Aeleck, ah will al
