Description
A creased stoic expression, etched onto a war-torn and worried scarred
mask masquerading as the face of a giant, glares at you with contempt.
Hetochromatic eyes, one a normal blue and the other a sharp contrasted
violet, encapsulated in a web of pink strands underlie the turmolt of
his shouldered heavy purpose. Dreadlocks of silver hair braided in the
traditional style of the giants to the frozen north, swing down his
broad back in a rhythmic motion to the beat of a serene and
contemplating heart. A pitch white tattoo of thorns encircle his
massive biceps, with the tip of each thorn forming a miniscule mosaic
of a violet spider. With each movement, the spider seems to move and
hiss, biting its host with indescribable pain - a constant reminder
to move forward with his purpose. A heavy fur tunic of an aged great
white bear loosely drapes his heavy frame, with the head and chipped
yellow fangs covering his head on top of the clinks of various armors
underneath. Dangling across the frayed leather belt tightly looped
around his waist is a worn heavy knotted string, with one end creased
through the tremendous strength required to swing it around. Loosely
covering the heavy bardiche strewn across his back is a dusty gnarled
rucksack, barely able to draw attention away from the ever keen and
sharp blade.
Role
Prelude: The Violet Spider's Boredom
Added Fri Jun 28 16:38:56 2024 at level 18:
The Violet Spider hummed to herself as she gazed upon the web of fate
that traversed the souls of Thera. She had long since agreed to seclude
herself within the world of Organia, but what many didn't realize was
that her tendrils were still abundant. For Organia held within it
endless possibilities as dreams traversed the lands and touched upon the
souls of many, and possibilities of Organia included control over the
souls. The Violet Spider often found herself intrigued by the doings of
her creations, the first cloud giants, and if they reflected on their
mistakes in angering her through her curse.
Tsk. Another giant who fell to a mage or the divinity of another god.
Perhaps her curse was too fruitful. How boring.
Suddenly, the Violet Spider came up with a grand idea. Instead of
letting fate run its course by instilling cloud giants with random souls,
why not imbue with the mightiest of souls with Organia? And she knew
exactly where to find it, for there was a nameless grave within Organia
for a mighty warrior. The soul of a honorbound warrior, a Villager, one
of her foes, who, after serving opted to end his life in Organia to
- surely he would be an interesting toy. But one soul may be too unwieldy
and actually accomplish something against her whim.
Cackling in glee, the Violet Spider tempered her webs and split the soul
in two. A howling rage emerged from the soul before dying down in
submission as the Violet Spider cast them into cloud giant boys to be
born. Humming in pleasure, the Violet Spider decided to view outside of
Thera from the eyes of these creatures, bestowing upon each of them one
of her violet eyes.
Perhaps she won't be as bored.
Elojhir Clan
Added Fri Jun 28 16:39:44 2024 at level 18:
The Elojhir clan was formed by Elojhir, a reknown cloud giant battlerager
from ages ago, fearless in the face of danger and whom, more than once,
struck mortal blows against those that threatened the giants. Myth's
placed Elojhir, a deft and powerful warrior, in the throes of battle
against dragons, demons, and liches. What he was known for was not all of
the victories that he amassed, but his own sense of honor, for he was in
the vanguard of scouting for dangers, warning his brethrens and kins
through various means to prevent ambush, and sacrificing his body to
protect those could not protect themselves.
The Elojhir clan celebrates the characteristics of this fearless warrior
and developed a creed over time. Departing from this creed is a show of
dishonor to the memories of the great Elojhir and severely punished,
often through banishment.
1) Be true to yourself. Honor yourself, honor your life, honor your
purpose, honor your past, and honor your future.
2) Take only what is necessary for survival and purpose. Greed in the
battlefield distracts from ultimate purpose.
3) Battles are a swirling windstorm of chaos and misshaps. Take a resolved
approach and be wary of your surrounding, whether for foes or friends.
Honor your purpose over life, for sacrifices often must be made.
4) Strength and prowess is dependent not on only triumphs, but on the
journey to the triumph. Outwit your enemies, strike at opportune times,
and understanding the flow of battle to understand the proper opportunity.
Timing is the keystone to victory.
5) Victory of the body is not everything. Victory of cause and purpose is
equally, or moreso, important. Celebrate individual sacrifices to achieve
victory.
Upbringing
Added Fri Jun 28 16:40:54 2024 at level 18:
"Can't catch me! Elojhirs' too slow! Can't catch me! Purple eyes are blind!"
The cries of children in the cloud giant village north of Udgaard erupted
amidst snowstorm. They had always teased Aggma and Aggoran, twin cloud giant
boys who were born on a cursed day to the Elojhir clan and sewed misfortune
wherever they went. It particularly didn't help that each boy had one
violet eye that seemed to be a mirror to a wicked presence within.
While these were fanciful words of children, the attitude of the adults and
the rest of the giant village were abundantly clear. Aggma and Aggoran were
bastardized outcasts, originally despised by their own Elojhir clan due to their
birthmarks and barely acknowledged. Due to the history of the cloud giants,
they were often even feared by the adults, who had entrenched in their minds
the Violet Spider's curse. Stoning were the beginning of the deep hatred that
the giants had towards those of violet eyes, for it reminded them of the curse
of the Violet Spider and their sins towards divinity.
Even the Elojhir patriarchs were fearful of Aggma and Aggoran and despised
their presence. While they were direct lineage descendants, the clans had
their own system of myths and order. But, as they were scions and due to
the Elojhir creed, Aggma and Aggoran was shown the ways of the Elojhir and
their honor, partaking in the same rigorous training that the great Elojhir
once went through in myth - to survive the cold winters, to hibernate within
the cave of a white bear, and to scout in the vanguards of battle.
Thus Aggma and Aggoran, the bastard childs of a bastard family bastardized
by the Violet Spider, grew up in the northern mountains - hated, feared,
and despised. Yet, this story comes with a twist, as they did not grow fearful
or hatred of those who despised them, but protective and wise of the
limitations that were theirs. For the south was fraught of enemies who would
truly seek to harm them - the frost dragon with her ilk always looking for
food, the Udgaardian patrollers who would rape and pillage the cloud giant
villages, and it was the Elojhirs' who often found the weaknesses through
their scouting to pave the wave to triumph.
The Bounty
Added Fri Jun 28 16:42:45 2024 at level 18:
A crowd gathered within the inn of Udgaard. There were a wide array of
individuals from different species, some of them cloaked in shadows while
others are flaunting different colors. The common theme seemed to be the
bustling presence of magic that threatened to pop the fabric of existence.
In the middle of the crowd was a Postmaster, and by the Postmaster, the
decapitated heads of two cloud giants, each with a single violet eye.
With a wave of his hand, the illusion of the heads disappeared, and the
Postmaster raised his voice.
"This is what we are all here for. Rumors are that the Violet Spider has
eight eyes, each a window to her power and to bring her greatness back
from the Abyss. And we have found where two of her eight eyes lie - each
within brothers twin, nestled to the mountains of the North."
With a shriek, which resounded with the crackling of magic around him,
the Postmaster shrieked:
"Go! Get both eyes, and to the winner, utmost riches will be granted! And
the Violet Spider will come anew and we will be granted power beyond
imagination!"
The elements seemed to roar in agreement as the crowd disbursed, all
heading northward to their inevitable fate.
The Eye of Aggoran
Added Fri Jun 28 16:43:35 2024 at level 18:
"Brother! Brother! Wake up!"
Aggoran groaned to the wavering voice of Aggma. He looked around, clearly
disoriented by the chaos strewn about him. He had just been celebrating
with the Elojhirs on a successful defense from the Udgaardian patrollers,
when fire and brimstone rained down in their vicinity. Frozen rocks and
icicles the size of wyverns emerged from nowhere, piercing both flesh and
armor as if they were nothing. Undead and demons emerged from the ground,
cackling loudly as the Elojhir warriors succumbed to unholy power.
Aggoran raised his head and saw a trail of blood leading to his location.
He was within a small cave, on he recognized as the cave of a white bear
from his childhood where both he and Aggma stayed for an entire season.
Guarding the cave entrance was the lone silhouette of his brother Aggma,
wielding his polearm with efficiency as he struggled to defend against
the onslaught of beasts clawing their way towards Aggoran.
Aggoran knew that his time had come. His right arm was burned to a crisp
and he could not even feel pain due to the charred nerves. Black and rotting
oozes popped from his right leg as it continued to decay from the pestilence
corrupting his body. Aggma was always the stronger, wiser, and better of
those two, and Aggoran had to do his best to save his brother.
The great Elojhir must have been smiling from the grave. With a cry of
triumph, "ELLLOJJHIIIRRRR!!!", Aggoran broken a stalactite from the top of
the cave and heaved it towards the entrance of the cave, distracting the
beasts that would want both his and Aggma's life. Snarling like the great
cave bear, he grabbed Aggma and heaved him to the back of the cave. The
light was getting dim in Aggoran's eyes, and with a graceful and peaceful
smirk, Aggoran burst out of the unstable cave into the midst of battle.

The Violet Spider clicked in approval. A soul of honor indeed and an
entertaining end to one of her creations. She frowned, perplexed, as her
eye did not return to her. Instead, the window to the rest of Thera
remained open as the mages scavenged Aggoran's violet eye.
Hissing in displeasure, the Violet Spider began to weave her next web.
Vision and Purpose
Added Fri Jun 28 16:44:12 2024 at level 18:
Aggma dreamed. Or was it a vision? After hearing Aggoran's screams of pain,
witnessing a sharp pain on his violet eye as if it was removed, and
instinctually understanding that Aggoran had died, Aggma didn't really care.
In the dream, he was with Aggoran. Only, it wasn't Aggoran. Aggoran's figure
was part of a massive legion, one that Thera had yet to see that even
dwarfed the Empire. Aggoran looked at him directly, and with a gasp,
Aggoran's head was removed from his body. The body disappeared and only
Aggoran's familiar violet eye remained. It rotated, glistening brightly, and
became entrenched in an embossed necklace. Around the necklace were mages of
all different calibres, some scheming to obtain it, some worshiping it, but
all celebrating Aggoran's death.
Aggma screamed in rage and despair, waking up from this torturous vision. The
first sensation was pain. The second sensation, labored breathing. The third,
the encroaching darkness and a sense of claustrophobia. As he looked around,
he realized that he was in the white cave bear's cavern where both he and
Aggoran were tested. That test ended up with using their hands to dig through
the strongest of minerals through the mountain, a passageway that still existed.
Aggma waited and reflected on the immediate past. The strangeness of the ambush.
The death of Aggoran. The instinct that Aggoran's eye, and his eye, is special,
and that there are those who yearn for it. The creed of the Elojhir. And
finally, the vision - the movement, the drumming, and the honor of the legion
that he saw.
Almost unbiddingly, the word "Xathanael" emerged from his mouth. Like the great
Elojhir, he knew where he belonged and his purpose.
Slowly, ever surely, Aggma emerged from the cavern heading south and eastward -
to the great Village of the Battleragers and the throne of Lord Xathanael. Like
his brother before him, he will honor the creed of the Elojhirs and do his
ancestor, and his brother, proud. He will also find his brother's eye, and any
mage that stands in his way will be skewered.
Small and Mighty
Added Fri Jun 28 17:28:06 2024 at level 18:
Aggma looked at the diminutive figure in front of him and scratched his head. He
had never seen such a small figure exude such raw physical prowess, almost dwarfing
his own. The phrase "good things come in small packages" was lost to him, as he
had surrounded himself with large figures all of his life. Yet the creature in
front of him was the Gabley, the Commander of the fabled Battlerager Village, one
he sought after many months trekking from the cave.
Gabley appeared pleasant, chipper even. Aggma wondered to himself whether the great
Elojhir was like that - unlikely though, as Aggma could not imagine such a
diminutive creature able to stand up to dragons.
That is, until Gabley showed the axes strewn about her. Each were properly cared
for, the marks of a master, razor sharp and blooded with countless mages. Alas, none
of them carried the scent of Aggoran's eye. So Aggma will continue to look.
Aggma perked up. Gabley spoke of honor in the throes of battle against an undefeatable
foe. Aggma knew that there were no undefeatable foes, for honor and victory also lies
in the journey and self awareness. A response that Gabley seemed pleased with.
So it came to be that one of the great Elojhir's descendant joined the Village of the
Battleragers, taking up the great Elojhir's mantle as a Scout.

The Violet Spider gaze through Aggma's eye with a smirk. Her creation will aid her to
retrieve her eye, whether he knows it or not. A good start.
She gazed through Aggoran's eye - it was hidden deep within a powerful zombie amidst
other concoctions. Typical that they do not know what it truly was.
