Role
Concerning Death
Added Wed Jul 21 02:07:46 2004 at level 36:
I have been meditating on the rede of death.
I felt I knew it well, in fact my knowlidge of it was enough to please the Crone.
Yet the Goddess mentioned something to me recently, you see she gave me a quest, I did well.
Well, it lead to a ritual that would cause me to live longer, and she told me to remember
to not fear death. The fact that she mentioned this made me think, that perhaps I needed to
think more about it. And so it was, I have meditated on it long.
And I watched the flowers and the animals, I looked once again to nature for the answer.
And what I saw was that it all was there for a reason. From the smallest bud of grass,
to the largest of trees, they all have a specific reason for being
And so then do I! Being born at this time, in this form, feeling the connection with the
Maiden at such a young age, this all cannot be an accident.
Perhaps I was born to help clean the water in the north east, maybe I was born to
clear the friged waistland of it's taint. Maybe my existance at this time has something
to do with the recent growth of the Empire. Maybe I was born to spread the word of the
Goddess, or to plant some trees. Perhaps it has nothing to do with any of these things,
or maybe it is a combination of them, I do not know.
The point is that whatever it is I was born to do, somewhere way deep inside, there is a longing.
I know I have not done it yet. This is why I am not ready to die. When I do, do whatever it
is I came here to do, I will be happy to feel the Crone, and follow the Raven.
Tattooing
Added Thu Jul 15 12:07:19 2004 at level 36:
M'lady the Goddess Amaranthe gave me a series of three trials.
I passed, and she bestowed upon me the Mandala Tattoo.
I am ever greatful. Also I am writting more mature, academic papers now.
I hope they help those seeking wisdom.
Becoming A Disciple
Added Fri Jul 9 18:43:25 2004 at level 33:
The ways of the Goddess become clearer.
She spoke to me on the winds.
Now, I shall meditate on the deeper teachings of the coven.
There is much to be done.
Also I have written a series of scrolls,
fables, with life lessons for the young.
I hope some day to have kept, perhaps
in the lyceum, for any to read, learn from
and enjoy.
Connections/fertility/name

Everything is different now. It all started soon after I
spoke with the Maiden. I became as a tree, not because I was
hiding from an enemy, I just decided to do it. And while I was
in the form of a tree, I began to feel something. I felt the energy
of the world flowing, up from the earth through my feet (roots)
it was like a vibration. Not hard but very intense. Very subtle
After a while I began to walk, however as I walked, I could still feel this
vibration. Every step I took, at the moment my foot hit the
ground there it was. And the vibration, the energy, filled my
soul. It made me feel ONE with the earth.
And so, I walked, but as I came closer and closer to cities, I
began to feel less. Roads gave off very little energy, and
the cities themselves gave off NONE. I began to see why the
cities are the way they are, the people in them, they have no connection
to the earth, they do not walk on soil, they are not one. They have
broken the connection completely.
A great meeting!

I finally spoke with the Maiden! My patience was well worth it.
Alas, I was quite nervous, however she was more than kind.
She gave me her full blessings! I am ever so greatful. I will do
my best to serve her well. I must take more time now to meditate
on my chosen sphere, fertility. I know that I am drawn to it
and I know I try to serve it, but when she asked me about it I did
not feel I explaned myself as well as I could have. I must find
a better way to put my feelings into words, as well as showing them
more so in my actions.
Finding my way.
Added Tue Jun 1 10:38:24 2004 at level 15:
I have spoken with many in recent days.
I believe that I have found my true calling.
For I know what must be done, but I cannot help but feel that
there must be some who simply do not understand the importance of
maintaining nature.
And so, I will seek out those who are my enimies, and try to preach
to them, to convert them, to help them understand. And if they have
an open mind, then perhaps I can succed, and if not, well I must do
what ever it is I must do to protect the wilds.

So much has happened in so little time.
I have navigated the rapids of the river Nathor.
I have done battle with creatures I did not know even existed!
I have helped, and have been helped by many, and all the time
keeping the Goddess in mind.
I have found, with the aide of Choranek, her shrine.
I am so greatful to the Goddess and her followers for all I have
seen and experienced thus far.
Now I find myself watching the Outlanders, I don't know if I want
to be one myself, but I feel I must get to know all of my possible
allies.
Indeed, I wish to get to know all who dwell in the wilds!
The Priesthood
Added Fri May 21 14:00:44 2004 at level 6:
Ailon, entered the academy in hopes he could find himself. During
his studies, he learned much about the Godess Amaranthe. The more
he studied the more he was amazed. The teachings of the coven, seemed
more like he was reading his own mind. All of his beliefs were
expressed within these teachings. So after a short time in the
caverns of the accademy, he went outside and sat under the moon in
mediatation. It was at this time that he decided to dedicate his
life to the service of the Goddess. Indeed, he felt that his life
thus far HAD been in her service, only he dident know it yet.

I sit now under the full moon, seeing it in a new light. The people of the village
celebrate around me, putting out fires and rebuilding just as quickly as they drink.
But I cannot join in. Something happened to me, something strange. The moon she....why
did I think "she"?
My mind is racing, I must bring my thoughts together, why were we attacked?
:::a few pages later:::
Perhaps I should look at nature for the answer, my garden, so beautiful in the
moonlight. When there is a weed I pull it. The weed itself is natural, and grows there
naturally, but if I leave it it would slowly choke the life from my flowers. I do not
hate the weed, but I must pull it. The Orc's are like the weeds.
But what of the moon? I must look deeper into this, I must change my life I cannot
allow myself to fall victim to fear again.
Life Lessons, conclusion.

The battle raged on into the night, and Ailon stood. Something happened then that would
Change Ailon forever. He noticed there was a full moon. The light from the moon
seemed brighter that ever before, and somehow the moon seemed to have a voice.
Somehow it seemed to speak to him. He all at once understood the true significance
of things he has taken for granted. The harvest being done under the full moon, the
rise and fall of the tides, the passion of a lovers kiss under a full moon.
Then he began to feel stregnth, his fear began to melt away, the longer he looked at
the moon, the more courage he felt. It was at this moment, he noticed an Orc nearby
and slowly lifting his hoe above his head, he attacked. Bringing down the metal edge
right into the top of the Orc's head. Killing him instantly.
With the aide of Ailon, the gnomes were able to chase of the cowards, and the village
Quickly broke into celebration. But Ailon was not so happy.
Ailon's first action was to check on his family, who all survived, but not unharmed.
His next was to return to the spot he stood in, there he found his journal and
wrote the following...
Life lessons continued
Added Mon May 17 16:25:23 2004 at level 3:
One day while tilling the soil, a slew of gnomes came running past the farm yelling
"To arms! The village is under attack!"
Panic! Not knowing what to do Ailon raised his hoe, in hopes it could be used
to defend his village. At that moment he saw something he had never seen before, Orc's!
The Orcish hordes attacked in droves, burning and pillaging as they past. But Ailon could
not move.
Frozen with fear and bewilderment, he stood as a statue. As the sun began to fall, the
glow from the burning homes looked frightningly beautiful.
Life Lessons, and innocence lost.
Added Mon May 17 15:44:19 2004 at level 3:
As time passed Ailon spent less time in study, and more time in the fields.
Sitting with his journal in his lap, watching the sky at night.
In the day, he would work tending his garden, or helping the local farmers.
His family of course always came first, and by now it had grown indeed.
Alion was the first born, but now he had five brothers and three sisters.
:::The following is from Ailon's teenage journal:::
...and the beauty of it all! The trees the flowers, the wonder of the natural order.
How life begins, this is the most interesting subject. How a plant is born, how
a person comes into being. I must get back to study, I must understand this most
wonderful and complex process.
Ailon's Tale
Added Mon May 17 15:26:15 2004 at level 3:
Born and raised in the Gnome homeland of Hillcrest, Ailon's parents were
obsessive about keeping their son away from the dangers of the outside
world. Thus, for many years alion spent most of his time in quiet
contemplation and study. Overprotective as they were, his
parents love for him was abundant and obvious. His childhood was full of
joy and compassion.
:::The following is an excerpt from Ailon's childhood journal:::
What a wonderful world we live in! I cannot imagine why anyone would live in
fear. Today my mother gave me 2 new books, and a journal to write in!
Some of the elders in the village have told me haunting tales of violence and
hate. Somehow, they seem to be non-fiction, but I cannot begin to imagine it.
How could any sentient being not understand the natural order of things?
How could anyone be swayed by the politics of good or evil?
Cont. Fertility
Added Wed Jun 16 09:29:02 2004 at level 22:
ABOUT FERTILITY, Now, more in tune with these vibrations, I
began to feel the differences between them. Young saplings, seeds
newborns, they vibrate with such intensity, that they fill my soul
with joy and hope. The mature things vibrate in a less intense,
yet more steady manner, good for general meditation, and the dieing
things Much slower. They all are necessary and all serve their
purpose, but only one has such a profound effect on my soul.
ABOUT MY NAME, I dont spend much time in my village anymore,
but I do visit my family from time to time. A while ago I
told my father the story about becoming a tree and feeling
the vibrations, I explained how important this was to me.
Now, my fathers pronunciation of the common language
is very bad indeed . He has a sense of humor, so when he
was asked what happened to his son, he would joke by saying
Ailon? He Become Tree which would sound like E Veekom Tray
And as word spread, over time it became one word, and now
I am known in the village as Ailon Eveekomtrae.
