Description

A human is here, roughly six feet or so in height. His build is standard for what you would see from a human, not overly muscled nor thin either. His hair is long, about shoulder length, and is allowed to hang freely about. The locks of which are a dark black, and almost give a purple sheen to them. His skin is tanned, with a slightly weathered look to it, an indication to the time he has spent outdoors. In contrast the the dark hues of his hair and tanned skin, is a set of crystal blue eyes.Their piercing gaze seem somewhat eerie due to the quality of their color. Between them lies a rigid nose that comes to a slight point and shadows a set of thin, flesh colored lips. A set of high cheekbones add further character to his face, and a dimpled chin rounds out the detail of it. He holds himself with posture, adding to his sense of alertness. His armors are well looked after, even the most humble of pieces well shined and polished with care. While he exudes a certain amount of pride in his actions, there is also a sense of compassion hinted in his doings.

Role

The Evergrowing Faith

Added Thu Jul 27 15:26:30 2006 at level 51:
A piece of a conversation that Aiyedn shares with his close friend Meyrshal
after inviting him to spend time within the Glade with him.

Meyrshal tells the group 'It is in our action and our presence that the Light
prevails.'

You tell your group 'Nay, you are right sir. I just hope that my crusade
pleases the Summer Lord.'

Meyrshal tells the group 'Master Aiyedn, I must disagree with some of your
way of thinking.'

You tell your group 'In what way?'

Meyrshal tells the group 'Our patrons are to whom we may homage to, in which
we are inspired and derive our faith from.'

Meyrshal tells the group 'It is not our place here in this mortal land to
please the Gods.'

Meyrshal tells the group 'But it is to live according to a code of that which
is right, and to make the land a better place.'

You tell your group 'I will agree with making things right, but alas I feel
that in doing such Innis is pleased.'

You tell your group 'And I feel that pleasing him is good. In exchange he
has blessed me with much.'

You tell your group 'Yet he requires me not to call him Lord, or bow before
him.'

You tell your group 'So I hope to please him through my duty and deeds.'

You tell your group 'I walk to pray, you are more than welcome to walk with
me.'

We then walk to the Summer Glade where again our conversation enuses.

You say 'To the east lies his altar, where I go to pray. If you wish, you
are welcome.'

You say 'Otherwise, these two are quite fine company.'

Meyrshal says to you 'I am not a man much to pray myself--I've heard it can
be quite a personal thing.'

You say 'It can be, but I wish you feel welcome here in the glade.'

You say 'It is quite a soothing place.'

Aiyedn kneels slowly, bowing his head slightly.

You say 'This glade has come to mean many things to me.'

You say 'It has been solace in times of need, as well as inspiration to my
faith.'

You say 'It has brought me times of laughter and times of contemplation.'

You say 'Above all though, it is the place I gather the light inside to shine
deep within the darkness.'

Meyrshal says 'I have heard a man of the cloak and prayer is fortunate--for
where he lacks in life, he makes up in religion, and vice versa.'

You say 'Faith allows for many bridges into the unknown.'

Meyrshal says 'Though as we wage this war, I find there is little to laugh
about.'

You say 'One must always find time for celebration Meyrshal, else we become
like those we fight.'

You say 'To celebrate the innocence of those we protect, and to have faith in
brighter days.'

You say 'Sing freely here, the music is always welcome.'

The road ahead

Added Sun Jul 23 00:00:42 2006 at level 51:
Thus far the war against the darkness had proven formidable to Aiyedn. He
had seen victory, and he had seen defeat. He knew times of leanness and
times plenty. Having found further blessings through the Summer Lord, and
his way into the halls of the Maran as a squire, Aiyedn knew the battle ahead
was only just beginning. In his twenty fifth year he had found himself at
the pinnacle of his guild. He knew now that the task at hand could be
completely focused on, and that he would go forward into the ever present
darkness. He understood his role in the battle, and his faith in Innis and
his blessings were stronger now than ever. No matter the odds or the danger,
Aiyedn was determined to bring the fight to the darkness. He would wade in
with little regard for his own loss, IF in the end it was justified. While
others concerned him with their love for their personal possesions, to the
point it affected their judgement, Aiyedn pressed on. He prayed they would
find their way, and prayed that such evil thoughts would not be their end.
Yes, the battle had only begun yet Aiyedn already felt as if he had seen so
much. He prayed that Innis bless him and aided him to shine in the darkness.

The men about the mansion

From : Aiyedn
To : Voralian City Council
Subject: Commander Nalchan

Council Members,
Greetings to you, and the blessings of the Summer Lord upon you all. I write
this missive in hopes to attract your attention on a current matter at hand.
During my latest journey to the eastern continent, I encountered a group of
men led by Commander Nalchan, deep within the forest of Prosimy. They have
surrounded a dwelling there, and upon my inspection of it, I have found it
occupied by the undead.I have offered my services to the Commander
personally, and I ask that since
many a hand was outstretched to our city in its most desperate time of need,
that we now do the same. The men there, while morale is high, their weaponry
is less than appropriate. All the weaponry that use is now rusted with age,
and in quite ill repair. I ask that a supply of weaponry be requisitioned
for their use in their
battles. I am not asking for anything of great expense, but with the recent
development of whitesteel and its abundance, I was hoping a few crates of
swords and such could be brought to them. I am willing to see them
personally delivered. Please take this into consideration at your next
convening. I look forward to your word.
Sincerely,
Aiyedn of the Glade

You say to Commander Nalchan 'Hello again, Commander'

You say to Commander Nalchan 'I have come with some blades for your men
here.'

You say to Commander Nalchan 'My request is still in with the Voralian
Council, but for the time being I have bought what I could with my personal
moneys.'

You say to Commander Nalchan 'I believe these blades will better serve your
cause.'

You say to Commander Nalchan 'I will begin to distribute them, and then we
can speak further.'

Aiyedn then makes his way through the camp, handing out the swords to all
that fight about this place.

You give a broad-bladed whitesteel shortsword to a storm giant warrior.

You say to a storm giant warrior 'Keep up the fight!'

Once done, he speaks again with Commander Nalchan promising what support he
can, along with any word he recieves from the Voralian Council.

He then returns to Voralian, where he sits within his guildhall, and again
pens the Voralian Council.

From : Aiyedn
To : Voralian City Council
Subject: Commander Nalchan and his men

Greetings again Council Members,
I write this note to further update you to the situation within the Prosimy
Forest. This day I have secured funds myself and gone out and purchased
thirty five whitesteel shortswords from Gamberdine Stronghammer and made the
trips necessary to arm these men that are in this place. While they are now
better equipped to deal with the problems they face, I still would like to
see them further supplied
While some of them are comfortable with the blade, others still have spent
their lives studying the use of other weapons. And, while I have offered to
train them with the sword, it cannot make up for a lifetime of training with
other weapons. I implore you all again, to please set aside the funding
necessary to finish the outfitting of these men. Again, I will over my time
and service to see that these
blades are delivered and that each man is armed with your contributions.
Thank you again for your time, and I hope a respons

A prayer to Innis

Added Fri Jul 14 13:56:08 2006 at level 35:
I feel your presence always about me.

As if no matter into what darkness I walk, there is always light about me.

Give me the strength to reveal this light to others. Let me be your trumpets
call to arms against the darkness.

Allow my life and hands to always serve the glade in its quest for an eternal
Summer.

Until the light burns strong enough to illuminate even the darkest of places,
I will go forth as your sunlight into the darkness.

Amen

Journey this far:

Added Wed Jul 12 14:05:51 2006 at level 25:
Having been granted the blessings of Innis, Aiyedn had began his quest
against the darkness. To this point, quite a bit of it had been assisting
local communities in the ridding of the dark minions within their area.
While it had been quite a huge success, Aiyedn knew that there were things he
must seek further. One being that he would make his intentions know of
joining the Brigade as a squire. He knew that within the walls of the
Fortress were like mined souls, bent on seeing the same things he did. While
they might not hold the same beliefs, he knew that ultimately they all saw
the destruction of life. He would begin this quest soon he thought, and
while rumor had abounded that leadership was missing within its walls, he
knew determination would garner him a way into their ranks.

Something else that has taken Aiyedn aback to this point in time is the
complete disregard many of the light had for the tainted items they wore.
While some would honor his request they be removed and destroyed, some would
refuse.Aiyedn had prayed that these stubborn few were not already afflicted
by the taints they wore, and on each occasion had offered to even exchange
items he wore, just so that he might destroy the taint in theirs. Still some
refused, while a few accepted. He had made it his mission to educate all of
the light on the wrongs in wearing such things. He has hope that now Innis
has found him worthy enough to remove taint from these items, that his
mission will be of even more a success. It is his fear that too many have
come to covet what they wear to the point of accepting darkness as long as it
makes them stronger. This worries Aiyedn, and he will do all he can to see
this undone.

The quest ahead

Added Mon Jul 10 14:55:15 2006 at level 1:
Aiyedn is a native of Voralian, seeking to bring wrath to those of the
darkness. He is a soldier of the light, and has taken a self-sworn oath to
defend the freedoms of the light and those that live within it.He knows the
quest he has set out upon will lead him into dark, loathsome places that
might turn the heart of a weaker man. Yet, Aiyedn knows his heart is strong,
and his will unbreakable. He came to this revelation early in his life,
after seeing the powers of darkness run unchecked within the city that he had
called home. He knew that if they continued in such a fashion, that
eventually they would have the powers needed to overcome those of the light.
From that day forth, Aiyedn vowed to use every bit of his life force to see
them stopped. Even the slightest hint of evil found in items of clothing
would be set asunder by him, and any that promoted its growth would feel the
wrath he sought from the God, Innis. He knew that through the blessings of
Innis, he purpose could be realized, and that evil could be turned back.
Through the Summer's Glade he would find the solace needed to combat evil,
and with a happiness in his heart, he knew it could be his strength. With
such blessings within him, Aiyedn knew the task before him would not turn
him, and instead he would be able to walk into even the thickest of darkness
and always see the light. As such, Aiyedn made his vows public, and adorned
the armors of a paladin within Thera. His quest would begin, and his
journeys would start. Finding the blessings he needed would be the first
step in the path towards the wrath he would unleash.
