Description
This is one of Kiadana's children. Not Lord Kiadana, but the mountain itself,
a hirsute spectacle of muscle and scarlet flesh, wide-eyed with teeth
bared in an eternal sneer by a puckered scar on his left cheek.
On his exposed flesh you see a myriad of ritual scars depicting
images and mystic symbols that must carry some meaning to the giant.
On his bare left forearm you see ruddy scars depicting a giant surrounded by
by guardsmen. The work is surprisingly detailed, and in a trick of the light
their facial expressions seem to twist between surprise, fear, and horror.
The burns on his right calf and shin depict animal heads stacked as a totem.
From the bottom up, you see a pair of twin bears, a laughing hyena, and a
white mimicking the most ancient carvings on the totem. Next up you see
the face of an emerald serpent, a titanic whale, a solemn raven, a grinning
imp, and a galloping centaur.
The giant's chest is a cacophony of faces. They spill or explode from some
point behind the smallest visage, a giant whose face is similar to Ajakirahuu
but with more delicate features. The images show a progression, myriad
variations of Ajakirahuut with horns or fangs, child-like innocence, wonder,
shock, concern, rage, and most prominently, his placid face ringed in flame.

Creating a New Future: A Manifesto
Added Sun Dec 9 11:09:15 2018 at level 10:
Look about you. Without regard to race, the mortals of this world are
pale reflections of the first men who inhabited Thar-Eris. They toil, they
sweat, they bleed for a handful of men and women who, in acts of tyranny,
impose not only their will upon the lesser shadows of their people, but also
impose their most inhibiting beliefs, values, and assumptions to perpetuate
their feeble rule and breed out the strength and character necessary to make
the world better.
Together, we will make a better world, one filled with men and women
capable and worthy of self-rule, men and women who shall walk upright
through their daily lives and shrug off the ideas which shackle their
freedom of spirit.
Together, we will forge a new tomorrow.
Sins of the Father

A warm summer outside the Temple in Hamsah Mu'tazz, and
Toug Dargaron was walking with his son through the city, looking for
a suitable stew meat that he could use in their evening meal.
As the muezzin called the masses to the evening prayer, a soldier
stepped before the pair and leveled his halberd to Dargaron's face.
'You look like you brought my supper. That was very kind of you,' said
the guard. Scarcely half the height of Dargaron, he could pose no meaningful
threat to the sheer bulk of the giant, but three yards of tempered steel and
four men behind him created an entirely different scenario. 'Let me see what
you brought me.'
Toug Dargaron did not meet the guard's eyes, and without a word handed
over the large wicker basket carrying his purchases: peppers, tomatoes, a
half dozen yams, and most recently a rabbit with which he had planned to
make their stew. The guard looked it over, and with a snort dumped it
on the ground.
The two trudged home without a word, and the father made a supper
out of what he had recovered from the city street, but the meal went
uneaten.
Ajakirahuut was gone before dawn, and the two never saw each other again.

Ajakirahuut Dargaron has since traveled the world proselytizing to those
who will listen to a creed calling them to abandon the present culture that
weakens them. He seeks to create a world that may never have existed except
in the legends of bygone ages. It is Ajakirahuut's belief that if he can create
enough suffering through the destruction of civilization and its institutions,
in the resulting environment the truly great heroes of old may be reborn.
So let it be done.
Chemistry and Alchemy

They talked at length, Ajakirahuut and Saam Chaeky, but the Dread Lord was
broken, maybe irretrievably a sniveling mess beholden to the faith and
institutions who enslaved him. Head of the house slaves, proud in his
exalted state of servility.
Tiaesse was more interesting. He would have to be destroyed, of course,
but someone who shuns societal, even necromantic, norms to transform into
a wight might have a role in destroying Society. It even allowed Dogaren a brief
conversation, two instruments of destruction resonating on the same pitch.
The difference, though, was Tiaessa likely was only interested in prolonging
her own miserable life when she transformed, and Dogaren wished to create something
entirely anew.
A potter's craft requires a spinning world, but the world is already spinning
with changing relationships and the rise and fall of the powerful. Dogaren viewed
himself as something else entirely, an alchemist seeking to transform the world
and the people in it. How to apply the heat? What ingredients would be necessary
to change the lead to gold?
He would need to continue looking.
Fiery Heralds of the Heavens

The cold wind howled in the dark sky when Elandarn, The Harbinger
of the Return of Thar-Eris stole across the the fields of Balator.
Ajakirahuut watched them, a shadowy monolith among the trees, and
then he stepped forward, surprising the ranger and the Battlerager's
Commander Quinloc with his bold offer.
'I will help.'
The giant sprinted through the village streets and the cold stone
causeways standing before the Imperial palace, and the behemoth
slammed his maces repeatedly into the Vanquisher, shattering bone
and spattering blood as he strove to weaken the guardian, to bring
it to its knees. Elandarn and Quinloc followed in to give the coup
de grace.
A day later, the Harbinger summoned the young fire giant to the
Huntress, and the two spoke of rocks, the night sky, the past and
the future.
And the Harbinger said, 'What do you think of the three stones and
their meaning?'
'You speak of the fiery heralds of what once was and what yet could be,'
found in the ashes, virgin lands, and Prosimy.'
Ajakirahuut was swiftly inducted into the Outlanders of Thar-Eris.
Let the fires of Thera reach the gaze of the Ancients in the heavens.
Fanning the Flames: the Cold Winds of Death

Like a titan he labored, relentlessly training, exploring, looking
for the weak or overconfident and bludgeoning hope from their tattered remains.
He spent as much time studying the defenses of the Spire as he did conversing with
Lin-Ha, and the fires flickered acknowledgment as he passed in the night.
The old nightreaver, Girf, had expelled his spirit without Ajakirahuut fulfilling
his vow to kill him, but the warrior found his grave and drew a great breath,
willing the dead priest's animus to add to his own, just as he had called to
Saraba when he stood over the battered bodies of the emperor, war master, shadow lord,
and provincial magistrate.
Roaring to the night's sky after reaping the souls of Ziryn and Horknuth in
Prosimy, Ajakirahuut called out into vast void and reminded the living and
the dead of his vow to learn from Girf, to kill him, and then lead his branch.
What does it mean to embrace the beast? He intended to learn.
Floating

He recognized he was dreaming again, but that was
not enough to tear him from his sleep. He was at sea
on Grurk's Rising, and the gentle sway of the ship made
him think of a giant cradle. Five cables out was an island,
and they awaited the return of of men sent there to provision.
His time aboard the ship had not been bad. A sailor's
life was giving him fingers like fishhooks, but the captail fed
his men well and saw to it that the boy was learning his numbers
and letters. No sailor would risk stealing the ship's stores from
a fire giant clerk was the captain's thinking.
He slipped into the harness, and slowly he was lowered over the side
of the ship to caulk the Devil. The weather was calm and the ship
stable, and Ajakirhuut did not mind the foamy splash on this tropical
day. His fingers began the methodic work of stuffing the caulk into the
seam and covering it with tar, and as he did so he stared into the deep
and let his mind wander.
The foam below him slowly parted around an object, a large object. It
was a man, no a giant. In a moment of clarity, the boy recognized his
father's coat on the figure. The waves pushed the corpse up against
the hull, and Ajakirahuut waited in dread as slowly the corpse rolled over.
The desiccated face was that of Gaspare Gnazzo.
