Description

The hulking being before you stands at the height of most human homes, around 15 feet in total. His skin is black as the witching hour, his hair as red as the fires of a crematorium. His face is more slender than one might expect, with high cheekbones and a chiseled jaw and framed by neatly trimmed side burns, he is more handsome than one might expect for volcano kind. His hair is shorn short, waxed in the front to a sharp point. His armor is expertly cared for, his weapons well maintained, and his boots spit polished. He is the picture of a model soldier, yet something in his eyes denotes an intelligence beyond that of the normal savage. It is obvious the care he puts into his appearance at least matches his abilities. Looking closer, it seems that

The Strength of Knowledge

The One Law

Strength. Only through strength could the young giant survive.Only through
strength could the young giant prosper. For years it was enough. He was
beaten by his father, his mother long since gone. His only companion was his
sister. His darkest secret was his deep love for her, in a very romantic and
passionate sense, more as for a spouse than a sibling.

To protect their love he needed a way out. That meant knowledge. He learned
early he had no aptitude for magic, so he had to find another way. However,
he knew it had its place, and resolved to find some way to embrace it. If he
didnt have the innate talent for it, he would find another way to seize
it, whether through strength of mind or arm.

While he was always strong, he began to gather all the tales he could, to
find out about the outside world, beyond their fiery home. He learned of the
nearest settlement, Arkham, but figured it too close, to obvious. When the
time came he used all the coin he accumulated by robbing his fellow villagers
to bribe a merchant into taking his sister and him to Galadon.

It should be pointed out that while you would think she didnt return his
feelings, she did. Their relationship was as incestuous as it comes. What
she lacked in his physical strength, she made up for in magic. It became
almost second nature for him to first look for magical solutions to problems,
and serving her was always his will.

He knew that even in the outside world their love would be shunned. So he
resolved to find a way to negate all the taboos, to make it so that he could
live at her side. His blades, her magic. The land, at their fingertips.

There is nothing more frightening than a 15 foot tall behemoth with the will
to learn, the desire to prevail, and the strength of the ages.

The Path of Night

Added Tue Feb 13 01:30:58 2007 at level 32:
Algrahk has learned much since beginning his adventuring career. He has
fallen in the company of a queer human bard, once a man, transformed to a
woman by the magic grapes. Strange as this bard/bardess is to Algrahk, he
recognized very early how useful she was, and has done everything he can to
gleam all the knowledge she can provide. His sister Alghara was none too
keen on him traveling so close with a human female, but when he explained
that he was only using her, his sister relented her jealousy, though not her
suspicions.

In his travels, Algrahk has come to know of the Chasm of the Eternal Night.
While he is a bit fuzzy on their true goals, he understands two key things
about them that draw him to the fold. Firstly, they wish to dominate the
world in an everlong night, and Algrahk knows that in such a world, no one
would have time to judge the passion he and his sister share, and even if
they did, theyd be too busy to do anything about it.Secondly, they are
magi, and Algrahk respects mages above all others, again due to the path his
sister walks.

He has resolved to learn more about them, and pledge his blades to bringing
about the Everlong Night.
