Description

Well-kempt and clean-shaved, the regal air that surrounds this figure is one which has clearly been accustomed to a lavish life of luxury. Unblemished skin, a pale shade of dusky brown has been stretched taught across what few parts of him are exposed, further accenuating his already lean though slightly athletic physique. Trimmed eyebrows sit above a pair of radiant, crystalline orbs, so piercing and clear, they amplify a deep inner intensity when stared at. Cropped short to around the back of his heads and it's sides, set with the gradually growing sweep of a pair of bangs which frame his teardrop-shaped face is a rich collection of dark brown hair, it's healthy shine and lack of split-ends suggests it's combed regularly.

The Conjurer Aliimbaba of House Dorhenka

Born of a lavish upbringing as the middle son of a nobleman from
Voralian City, Aliimbaba has known a rather easy life so far in
his roughly two decades so far on Thera. Wedding early in life
at the age of sixteen, he would be the typical middle son, left
neglected mostly in lieu of the needs of his elder brother and
younger sister. This wedlock would turn into tragedy as shortly
after the union, his wife would perish just over a year later
during childbirth. 

Bitter and full of scorn, he would wander aimlessely and imbibe
in many a tavern wench, alcoholic brew, and drugs. Two years
would pass like this before he would wake up one day and be
dragged and enlisted for a term of two years as a peacekeeper
in Voralian City. It was that he was cutoff entirely from his
luxurious lifestyle and beautiful estate.

Taught the most rudimentary cantrips and found to have an
affinity for magic; his time as a peacekeeper would end with
Aliimbaba desiring more of his abilities... not out of greed
or selfish desire, but as a way to truly impact Thera. He
strides forward now yearning for more knowledge and ability
with the force called magic, that he might learn more of
where he truly belongs in life.

The Cherub and a New Crusade

The child that he never had. Naming the arcane cherub he can
manifest with the familiar spell after a storm giant he has
become close friends with named "Nok." A measure of peace 
has come to sustain him with the newly formed bond he has
made with his new companion. Finding and speaking with a
party of two squires and an acolyte from the Holy Brigade
of the Phoenix, the words and passion they conveyed to him
on the cause of the Brigade of the Phoenix was something
that struck a sudden chord within him. It was as if upon
hearing what they had to say that all the pain and suffer-
ing he knew would melt and wash away into a calm and clear
state of mind. He would become the holy soldier that his
soul so deeply yearned to fufill and embody. He would
stride forward and crusade against the forces of darkness
wherever he could find it; and perhaps find a home not
devoid of any life.

The Disciple of the Golden Grimoire

Meeting Lord Lian Shian'ji within the ruined remains of the first
betrayel, the site of the Masters of Magic, this meeting would mark
a significant event in the life of Aliimbaba. Intent to embark on
his crusade as a squire, unknown to him all along was the under-
standing that Lord Lian Shian'ji would set the young Aliimbaba
on the same task to be his disciple. Those who are to revive and
restore the secrets of the Golden Grimoire, they must know and
embody the Creed of the Tara'bal.


Set with his second task after being admitted into the Holy Brigade
of the Phoenix, he was asked to make a pilgrimage to the mountains
overshadowing the vile city of Udgaard Loke. In those mountains he
was told he would find the first shrine of the Phoenix, the sacred
grounds of the Skyborn Lord Shokai. Preparing himself for the journey
to come, Aliimbaba knows the next step he must take now in order to
truly call himself a disciple of the Golden Grimoire one day.

Flickering Flames of the First Phoenix

Meeting in the first shrine of the phoenix, Aliimbaba would
this time be accompanied by his close and dear friend Nok.
Having just stowed away sleepingbags and begun to share and
break bread, thousands upon thousands of tiny motes of light
would shimmer and swirl to create the ethereal visage of
Lord Lian Shian'ji. Our two heroes had successfully completed
the journey to the holy grounds of Lord Shokai, to learn of
the past wars and the betrayals that came of them.

The lessons were heeded and learned closely, they emphasized
primarily around staying pure of conscience in deed and word
and to always abstain from prying into the dark arts. Where
many a great sorceror has lost himself just taking a glance
at a relic he never should have, so too must the disciples
of Lord Shian'ji remain truly pure. For Aliimbaba this means
never studying or learning the arcane powers of demon and
devil summoning, he takes this action so far that he also
abstains from any use of mephits or nightgaunts. In his mind
any creature possessed of a dark nature is to be destroyed,
and has no use whatsoever being used as a tool by the pure
hearted. 

Leaving the shrine with a sense of further understanding,
Aliimbaba realizes now more then ever just how important it
is not to become like those he hunts. Wherever and whenever
he can, he will target only the dark, and when possible, its
sorcerors.

Time passes as a Squire

Aliimbaba is not without his faults and he genuinely
understands this. With a difficulty to accurately 
control his art in the heart of the moment, it is with
time and practice and even failure that Aliimbaba hopes
to perfect his craft with. Faced with pressure to not
only succeed as a squire, but to also maintain dignity 
in his hunt of the darkness, it is as the years pass
that Aliimbaba feels himself becomming more powerful
in his art, and he prays, a better fit to one day be
called a Tara'bal.

With a deep fondness developed for both Lady Andira and
the conjuress known as Charrolit, Aliimbaba finds him-
self a sucker for a beautiful face and a charming smile.
While he has close friends like Evred and Cand, even the
obscure Wujin is a companion from time to time; but with
Charrolit and Andira, things are a bit different for
Aliimbaba in all the obvious ways. He has not genuinely
felt affection for any woman since his wife passed five
years ago. It is in these two he sees the same ray of
light his wife once was to him. Though he would never
admit it, and probably will never pursuit it, a measure
of attraction and affection is evident.

Aliimbaba has begun in his offtime to craft crude maps
and diagrams of a scrying chamber he hopes to have made
inside the Fortress of the Holy Brigade. Having carefully
mapped out the place he now calls home, the plans appear
to be interchangeable and capable of being fit near either
hallway passages leading north towards the Grand Temple.
The compositions of the drawings are only in the most
rudimentary of stages, no designs for warding have been
drafted or even pondered yet.

The Maran Tara'bal

Having just turned twenty-eight years of age and actually
begun to settle into adulthood, Aliimbaba was recently
fully indoctorinated into the Holy Brigade of the Phoenix
as a Maran Tara'bal, completing both tasks set by the Silver
Wraith, Lord Lian Shian'ji. Yearning now to meet and speak
with the Warden of the Golden Grimoire, Aliimbaba craves
now more than ever a chance to study and unlock the riddles 
once contained in this powerful relic of the Light. 

His ambitious scholarly pursuits have dawned a theory on
him linking the ability known as fierarroga aegis, or
what he believes is translated in the common tongue as a
dispeling ward, to what is quite possibly a faint link
still existing between the Holy Brigade and the actual
Golden Grimoire held by Lord Shian'ji. His speculations
lead him to believe that if some trace remnant can still
be used and harness by the Tara'bal, that perhaps with
further study, a way can be unlocked to tap at the wards
of Old.

Pushing forward to strive to better for himself and those
he cares for so dearly, his brethren of the Holy Phoenix,
Aliimbaba continues his crusade, hoping and waiting for
a chance to do more in his role in the War on Darkness.

Reborn

Four years of hardened combat have passed, forging the lightborn spirit
of Aliimbaba even stronger in his time spent now as a Maran Tara'bal.
Tasked by the Silver Wraith, Lord Lian Shian'ji with recovering a relic
described as a black lacquered box bearing a pair of phoenix, unknown
to some helping him find the relic is that they infact contain the
ashes of the First Warlock of Thera, a Magister of great power, whose
remnants contain traces of the link needed to restore and activate a
Golden Grimoire now best described in stasis; slumbering as it waits
for the right series of events to come into place to surge with life
and once more turn the tide against the encroaching Darkness.

Scowering the lands of Thera now in search of the urn containing the
precious ashes needed to revive the lost powers of the Warlocks, a
mature and nearing middle-age Aliimbaba does all he can to not only
recover the relic, but also fufill and embody the oaths sworn into
the Creed of the Tara'bal. With so many years passed now, the ebb and
fleshly desires he once possessed have died now, replaced with a love
for those like Charrolit and Andira which can now best be described as
sisterly. Where once his hormones so badly pulled at him to find some
solace in caressing the soft flesh of a woman, they now yearn only for
true peace and the day of his final resting. 

He does not stride into battle carelessely, neither is he one to shirk
from battle; even his foes have to commend his spirit, noting how strong
and in-tune it has become with the flesh he possesses in the form of
Aliimbaba Dorhenka. A Maran Tara'bal who has walked this life a hundred,
perhaps a thousand times before. He yearns for but three simple things
now in his tender and old age; the first is recovering the urn tasked
to him by the Silver Wraith. The second is to die valiantly and in 
combat as a Maran Tara'bal, and the third is to one day see his wife
again and find some peace and solace with her before he is once called
to the War tormenting Thera.
