Description
This half-elf, unlike some of the mixed blood, does not
present as lovely a figure. His frame is worn, and seems
to hover between fat and slightly obese. His weight, does
not seem to hold him from moving without cessation. He
flows smoothly, and proudly, almost musically.
It is perhaps the zeal in his dark green eyes which holds
his body so well aloft. It is those features which most
dominate his body, catching your attention from the first.
His hair is pale and thin, seemingly forced into an attempt
at covering his head. The hands, which from time to time
brush and straighten his hair, are weathered and worn,
showing a history of labor, be it in the church or
before. There are a few pouches strapped around his
body, both which show signs of use and care. The belt
keeping them against his body has a small, tarnished
golden symbol upon the buckle, perhaps the only overt
sign of wealth or vanity.

Born of questionable parentage, Althrsis began life rather
needy. He worked as a common laborer, albeit not one of
any grand skill. He grew up feeling empty, lost and lacking
in any basic anima or spirit. Not knowing where to search,
Althrsis became close more than once to simply ending his
life, for how can it be life when you have nothing to live
for? Aging prematurely, Althrsis took up gluttonous
habits, overeating, overdrinking, overindulgence. This did
not serve to sate his inner needs, but merely bought him
"time." In one of these painful, empty revelries, Althrsis
stumbled out of the farming community, out of the fields,
and into the river country surrounding the ruined village.
Laying his head down on a rock, he attempted to pass out
like so many nights before, yet found himself focused upon
the water flowing over a stone which jutted out of the stream
bed. Time passed, he laid there still watching, thinking.
A prayer came, almost unbidden to his lips, a search for
a reason to live in a place never yet searched. As he
stared out into the water, he saw an image of hope, of
that reason to live. Perhaps born out of drunkness, or
perhaps, perhaps truly an image of the divine, Althrsis
took it as a chance for redemption. Faling to his knees
he continued to pray, and begin seeking to make something
of himself, to heal himself so that he may do something
greater, having finally found his spirit.
