Description

A tall, willowy figure stands here, voluptuous and clearly female. Her bright golden hair is combed meticulously away from her face to show off oval shaped eyes the color of lustrous emeralds. Her face is the epitome of perfection, her incandescent pale skin shining as if it were carefully oiled. Like her female kin, she wear jewels in her hair, bright emeralds and rubies. She wears a leather as black as night, polished to a shine that seems to reflect from it all amounts of light. Her hands rest casually on the shaft of the staff she seems to lean on. She has two daggers sticking from the tops of her knee high black leather boots.

Role

THE ELVEN MAIDEN

Added Fri Mar 5 19:11:53 2004 at level 1:
The elf maiden Alynana was born to one of the middle class families
within Darsylon. Living in the trees for the beginning of her life, she
rarely understood the lack of benevolence within the higher caste of
the elven society. She was a beautiful maiden, one that made even
the higher caste maidens tremble in fear of her. She found, unlike the
maidens of the higher caste, that the city was not to her liking, that it
creeped upon her and choked the life she seemed to feel from her skin.
One day, a noble from the palace called upon her, asking her to join a
ball in his honor. She went, thinking it may help her family somehow.
The nobles, finding out her origins, snubbed her, feeling she was below
them. The noble for who the ball was held asked Alynana to go out into
the garden with him. As they were out there, Alynana tried to explain
nature to him, but he would not understand past the trees he saw
everyday in his own garden. Back in a dark portion of the garden, the
noble moved upon her, seeking to force her to his will. He had heard of
this beautiful elf maiden and felt he must have her from his first sight of
her. He began to try to rip through her dress, one she had had made
just for this occasion. Before he could finish the job of tearing her dress,
Alynana whispered out a word and suddenly the noble could barely move.
As he slowly came nearer her, she whispered another word and
disappeared, or so the noble thought. She looked down at herself,
seeing that she could see herself but noticing that he could not. She
quickly turned and ran back to her house, feeling something flowing
through her. Going to her parents, she quickly told them of what had
happened, still invisible to the eye of even her family. Her father told her
it would pass and had her go to sleep.

THE CONSEQUENCE

Added Fri Mar 5 19:12:46 2004 at level 1:
As she woke, she noticed she was no longer invisible, but she also
noticed that there was a strange silence in her house. She went
outside, only to be caught by a guardsman of the city. The noble,
standing near him, looked towards her and smiled. Walking up, he
only said one word... exile. The guard released her, but before he
could begin to lead her away, she fled. Running from the city of
Darsylon, she found traces of her family in the forest, tracks leading
into the Blackwater Swamp. She followed the track, finally catching
up with them. She heard rumors from them of a maiden who had
defied a noble, casting spells upon him. It was also rumored that the
noble had accused her of rape after the spells were cast upon him,
and then turning herself invisible and leaving. She learned of her own
family's exile, much like her own. She travelled with her family further
into the swamp, but the group was waylayed by a group of orcs. The
orcs leapt upon the familiy, killing all but Alynana. She somehow cast
the spell of invisibility again, running from the swamp. She kept to the
forests and the wild lands, dodging the elves and orcs who sought her,
and eventually learned more of the magic she found she had. She
vowed that she would seek to change from the deaths of her family,
seek to nurture those around her, to teach them of what the order of the
cities could do when it was defied. She vowed to continue, never
to use her power in offense but only in defense of her life and her
companions.

THE CANTOR

Added Mon Mar 8 18:54:21 2004 at level 23:
Upon entering the temple of the Harvest Moon, Alynana felt a
great sorrow lifted form her being. She used her senses,
feeling for people who would know her, and found a Disciple
named Ghroth. Contacting him, they spoke. Upon their
speaking, the Mother, the aspect who governs the Seasons
spoke with them. Because of Ghroth's teachings and
Alynana's teachings both Ghroth had come to as much
knowledge as he needed to gain the Lady's mark, and did so.
Ghroth then gave his pendant to Alynana, the symbol of the
mandala now hanging in between her breasts.

THE CHERUB

Added Mon Mar 8 18:54:39 2004 at level 23:
Ghroth gave Alynana also a set of instructions. Speak with
Nimewuh and the Cherub Choranek. Later during the days
that passed, Alynana looked into the heavens and saw his
star brightly shining. Calling to the heavens, she contacted
him, and later they spoke. Learning as much as she could
from his teachings, they parted ways wiser both, and
Choranek spoke saying that he would speak with the
Goddess of their speaking. Alynana also found within herself
a place where she could hold even the male god Choranek,
yet did not flinch away. She felt herself healing from her inner
wounds of pain from the rape sought after by the noble so long
ago.

THE NAME

Added Mon Mar 22 23:12:08 2004 at level 42:
Alynana was without a name for those to know her by.
She felt this deep within her soul and wished greatly for
a name. Going to her brother, Ghroth of the Coven, she
asked him to pick a name that would best suit her, if
possible, in elven. He went to his teacher, Vahletharien,
and spoke to him of one, eventually coming upon
Termar'ala, meaning enduring growth. Ghroth felt that while
Alynana was learning quickly and well of both the Coven
and the Refuge, before and since becoming Sunwarden,
she had grown well and still continued to do so. Alynana
smiled as she took up the name, proud to continue her
growth.
