Description
A mane of wild hair of tawny gold frames the large square
face of this bright-eyed dwarf. Brilliant green orbs
accented with golden starbursts greet the world with
a distinct sense of curiosity and purpose. Matched
against those bright eyes is a broad cheeked face
creased from wide smiles and hearty laughter, a
round cleft chin mostly hidden by a stylishly trimmed
goatee which extends to his broad leather belt.
His clothing is a bit of an odd mix, his chain armor
obscured by long white robes accented with green
and gold, cinched at the waist by a belt heavily laden
with weapons and leather pouches. Thick boots of
battered black leather are laced up to his knees, the
laces standing out in bright gold relief.
Role
A taste for life
Added Thu Aug 24 21:07:56 2006 at level 5:
Angrimn LightHammer was abandoned by his mother on the doorstep
of the Galadon Paladin's guild by a troupe of dwarven gypsies
who were passing through the city on their way to Hamsah Mutazz.
Although he knows nothing of his family, it is not hard to tell
that a taste for drama, performance, and living are in his blood.
Raised by a paladin who took him in, Angrimn holds great respect
for the guild and it's code, seeking entrance to the guild when
he came of age, but he is a wanderer at heart. During his
unruly childhood, he was known to have more than once appeared
on the doorstep of some distant cities paladin's guild,
looking for a bit of soup and the copper to buy passage home. His
foster parent, an aging human paladin-turned city guard, was
always patient and kind, though he did manage to instill in
the young dwarf if not discipline then reverence for the Light
and a righteous indignation against the dark forces in the world.
Angrimn chose the name LightHammer for himself, as he
had no way of knowing his real family name. Deep in his heart
he wishes to be that wandering beacon of light in a world
which is often bereft of happiness. He deeply believes in
freedom as a source of joy and the source from which morality
becomes possible. When constrained the living force withers
but when set free it flourishes. Upon this belief he lays
the Code of his guild as the guide to that free and living force.
Without which, he believes, love can turn to hate, and a drive
for life can turn to a murderous force for evil.
Quirks

Angrimn likes maps, because he has a poor innate sense of direction.
Though he has wandered many places, he is known to get lost from time
to time even in places he knows well. He keeps pretty much all the maps
he can find.
Angrimn loves to drink, but embarassingly his favorite drinks are
sweet and fruity, like sweet wines or fruit liquors. He knows enough of his
people to know that's not the ideal male drink of choice, and so avoids drinking
with other dwarves if he can help it.
Angrimn hates beer and ale, but loves mead.
Angrimn has a talent for learning languages though he generally speaks them
in a sort of pidgeon. He particular likes wood-elven ballads, which
he has been known to sing while in the wilderness, much to
the chagrin of his companions.
Into the Darkness
Added Thu Oct 26 21:23:47 2006 at level 49:
Angrimn LightHammer has grown up, and has traveled to many places where the
darkness holds sway. With him he has taken the Light of his Lord and the
determination of his people, who though having not raised him,
lent him fortitude and faith, even stubbornness in the face of adversity.
Nearing the pinnacle of his guild, he sought out all the most evil places and
sought to destroy Undead and Demons especially, seeing them as the greatest
threat to the Light and to the Glade. He gathered much Lore in his travels
and spent many of his days sharing the stories and histories with others of the Light.
Yet there is much left undone. Angrimn feels he has only begun on his path, and
will continue to carry the torch, seeking now to aid those of the Brigade in
in their mission.
