Description
A stout head of brown hair, curly and ending around his ears, surrounds the
face of this tall man. His face appears grim and serious, without the hint
of a smile line or a wrinkle on his forehead. Placid. Despite his calm,
eyes of murky blue appear alert and move furtively around. Lean muscles all
over his body remain motionless, an ocean of deadly potential. His garb is
simple and loose. Somewhere between a robe and a gi, with a monastic quality
to it.

Now there's a Twist

Born in a faraway, forgotten temple dedicated to the Lord Twist, Anhedan,
being male, was brought up in the way of the warrior, as the tradition was
there. This temple was established by a wandering mage among a barbarian
nation which he educated long ago and then abandoned. They had no contact
with known Thera and would never have heard of the disappearence of Twist if
not for the disturbance in Mana. Their task was to monitor the changes in
magic. Over the years of isolation, their doctrines were modified and
adapted several times. Magic was like a god to these people in and of
itself, with Twist as its manifestation. Magic became so sacrosanct it
became heresy to use it unless directly touched by the gods, such as a
priest.Potions and other magical items were forbidden. Spellcasting,
forbidden. Boys were trained as warriors, girls as priestesses. The girls
watched over Magic. This temple was content to sit in its far away corner
and affect nothing in Thera until mortals began tampering with the Veil.
This was the ultimate sacrilege. Magic was constantly in flux, disrupting
life at the temple and causing chaos. A message needed to be sent. Magic is
not for mortals. The Veil is not to be tampered with. The strongest of the
young warrior graduates was selected to venture into the unknown lands (what
we know as Thera) and deliver the message by the sword.
Personality and beliefs

Anhedan was taught that the path of the warrior is a somber one, and thus
tries to maintain his calm at all times. He's been called stoic by some, but
those who know him best know he's actually sarcastic and witty, that his
stoic exterior is a learned front. In battle he gets the most release from
his acquired restraint, channeling his emotions into the swing of his blades.
is unconcerned with most of Thera's affairs. Other than removing magic
from the hands of the dangerous lunatics who dare wield it, the squabbles of
Thera are not his. He certainly enoys a good fight though, and may go out of
his way to find one. Those who use potions and other minor magic he sees as
ignorant fools risking the destruction of the world for their own petty
needs. He is convinced that mages themselves, if not stopped soon, will rip
the world in twain.
