Description
Before you stands a huge storm giant towering almost 14 feet tall. He has a
light blue face with huge emerald-green eyes that stand out. Straight dark
blue hair falls from under his helmet and naturally rests on his shoulders.
The metallic, sun-glittering armor is in perfect condition, without the
slightest trace of use or rust. A snowy white cloak, embroidered with images
of a jaguar and a phoenix, freely flutters behind his back. The huge
two-handed blade is sharp and also in perfect condition, and the shield in
his other hand bears an engraving of a jaguar and a spear.

Role
Fateful meeting

Aobe was born on the coast of the great ocean in a small settlement of giants.
His father caught fish, his mother looked after the house and took care of the
household. They lived a simple life, and everyone was happy with it. Aobe
played with his ordinal friends and wanted to become a fisherman like his
father or a hunter like his friends' fathers. Of course, he dreamed of
adventures and treasure hunts, but these were just childish dreams!
Life went on as usual - fish were caught, games were played - until one day, a
huge giant in sparkling armor limped into their village. He was a paladin of
the Jaguar Cult and a member of the Phoenix Brigade, returning home from a
dangerous adventure in which he defeated an entire dragon - not some undead
creature, but a Nightmare Dragon! They took in the giant, fed him and gave him
time to recover from the battle. As he was leaving, the giant, whose name was
Dakarius, looked piercingly at Aobe with his purple eyes, tilted his head
slightly as if listening, nodded and said, "This boy has a future."
Several years have passed, and Aobe had already forgotten about that incident.
Suddenly, a messenger from Lord Dakarius appeared at their doorstep with an
official invitation for Aobe to study at the lord's stronghold. After a brief
discussion, Aobe's parents, and Aobe himself, of course, agreed to this
generous offer. And so Aobe set out on his journey, and his life was forever
changed since then.
The Forging

The Lord lived in a stronghold near the Aubade Academy. He had retired and
could now afford to take on a young paladin for mentoring. It was here, in
this stronghold, that Aobe began his training as a paladin. The Lord taught
him everything a paladin should know, and soon after the initial practice,
Aobe pledged fealty to the Lord and became his squire.
His education included: courtesy and the ability to behave in society,
honesty, valor, and honor. Additionally, Aobe was very dedicated and tried not
to waste time, always doing something useful. He considered leisure
activities, small talk, and vacations to be time-wasting follies. He never
abandoned work halfway and always finished it. When there was no work, he
studied ancient books, did physical exercises, and, of course, trained his
fighting skills.
They spar for endless hours in the courtyard of the fortress with the Lord,
using weapons and shields wrapped in thick fabric. He studied not only
mandatory weapons such as lances, staves, swords, and maces, but also axes,
daggers, and other exotic weapons. The Lord always said that there would be
battles on his path and that this knowledge would help him better defend
himself.
To rid him of his awkward pronunciation and teach him to speak more smoothly,
befitting his title of paladin, Lord enrolled him in an oratory class at the
Academy of Aubade. It was there that Aobe significantly improved his skills in
the art of oratory and even began composing and humming songs at work from
time to time.
The Forging (cont)

Days passed imperceptibly, following Aobe's usual daily routine:
- 6am: Wake up and a short prayer.
- 7am: Work in the stables, watering, feeding, and cleaning the horses.
- 8am: Have breakfast, during which he had to serve and clear the table.
- 9am: Study religion.
- 11am: Midday prayer.
- 12pm: Do various tasks around the castle.
- 1pm: Do physical exercises and spar.
- 3pm: Have lunch.
- 4pm: Have free time, during which Aobe usually went to the library or
attended a rhetoric lesson in Aubade.
- 6pm: Work in the stables.
- 7pm: Evening prayer.
- 8pm: Have dinner.
- 9pm: Have free time.
- 10pm: Night prayer and go to bed.
Aobe enjoyed living a strict life. Everything was clear, organized, and
well-defined, unlike before. He knew that everything would be different in the
future, but for now, it was necessary to educate and train him to become an
excellent paladin.
The Oath

Several years had passed, and Aobe's training was almost complete. The Lord
had grown old, and Aobe had been performing most of his duties at the castle
independently. Suddenly, the Lord passed away in his bedroom. He did not have
the chance to ennoble Aobe, and it was unclear what to do next. However, the
Lord had already taken care of this, and soon after his death, a delegation
from the Phoenix Brigade arrived at the stronghold, which included a cleric of
the Jaguar cult.
The ennoblement ceremony of Aobe has begun.
First, Aobe spent 48 hours alone in a chapel, praying and fasting. During this
time, the ceremony leaders submerged Lord's armor in a small pond in the
nearby grove, leaving only the helmet. Aobe received ceremonial clothing: a
linen shirt, a scarlet tunic, silk stockings, leather shoes with silver
decorations, and a gold mantle embroidered with images of phoenixes and
jaguars. When his confinement was over, he went to the pond, fully immersed
himself in the consecrated water, emerged, and let his clothes dry in the sun.
Official persons awaited him as he knelt on one knee on the velvet carpet,
placed his hand on the Lord's helmet lying on the table, and recited the Oath
of Ennoblement:

I, Aobe of Aubade, do hereby pledge to honor the strictures of this sacred
heritage and promise by my faith to be loyal to the Brigade Of Phoenix and
Holy Church of Jaguar, maintaining my devotion against all persons without
deception or forethought. Further, I vow to promote and uphold the principles
of fealty, courtesy, honesty, valor, honor, and dedication and to solemnly and
faithfully follow the edicts of my Brotherhood of Steel and my Lady Baerinika.
I take this pledge freely, without coercion or expectation of reward, sworn by
my hand on this saintly relic and in blessed memory of those who have given
their lives to this noble cause.

The cleric approached him, handed him the helmet, and said, "Rise, Aobe. Now
you are a dedicated paladin!"
The Last Wish

After the official procedure, there was a feast. Everyone congratulated him,
and he felt a little embarrassed by all the attention. At the end of the
feast, one of the lord's trusted men approached him and said that he had a
message. They retired to the library, where Aobe unfolded the sheet of
paper, which had been folded in half, and began to read:
Dear Aobe,
I am proud of your accomplishments and glad that you have become such a
remarkable person. You have come a long way since we first met in your
village many years ago. I am confident that you will continue to serve the
Phoenix Brigade and the Church of the Jaguar with honor and dignity, as I
have taught you.
Remember that although you can no longer turn to me for advice or
assistance, there will be people around you who will help you. Do not forget
my teachings and be a mentor and an example to those around you.
My last wish is for you to pay tithes to the Aubade Academy, just as I have
done throughout my life, if possible. They are doing truly important work
and need your help and protection.

Thus began another new life for Aobe, full of trials, travels, and
adventures. But he regretted nothing, because every boy can only dream of
such a life!
The Stallion

It has been a long time since Aobe set out on his solo voyage. Already having
the mantle of a squire and being a cleric of Lady Jaguar, he remembered his
promise to his lord and visited the Aubade Academy weekly to check on them and
pay his tithe. The Academy has changed, with new classes and stables added,
which Aobe sponsored. All of this pleased Aobe. He liked that he was helping
people in need, and all of his battles brought not only death and suffering
but also joy to others.
In each of his visits, he always went to the stable at the academy. He had
fallen in love with horses while still living in Lord Dakarius' castle. He
loved taking care of them, feeding them, and brushing their beautiful manes.
To everyone else, they seemed huge and powerful, but to him, they were just
small animals, like guinea pigs or cats. He really wanted to ride them, but
his large size was not suitable for it at all. He had not yet met a steed
capable of carrying him into the green plains, with his hair blowing in the
wind.
Aobe hoped that there would be a steed that could bear his weight. He had even
heard stories about a great sea dragon that hides in an underwater cave at the
bottom of the Dragon Sea. It seemed that it would be suitable as a mount for
Aobe. There was just one thing left to do: find and saddle it.
Discovering Hope, Respect, and the Corruption of the Blood Tribunal

*** Hope
Recently, Aobe visited the Inn of the Stars where he met a very mysterious man
named Eralastron. They talked, and Eralastron said he is a wizard. At first,
Aobe didn't really want Eralastron to show his magic, but he convinced him
that it was safe and quite fun. Eralastron showed Aobe a very impressive magic
trick, and he realized that magic can be not only the one he constantly
encountered in battles against necromancers and dark knights, the one that
tries to kill or poison, but it can also be harmless and fun.
After this meeting, Aobe became even more convinced that he was doing
everything right. There should be more of this kind of magic in the world than
the kind that kills. This allowed him to understand what hope means to him.
Hope is not something ephemeral, like a belief in a bright future. It is
precisely this: so that people like Eralastron can live the life they want
without fear of being killed.
*** Respect
After being given the title of Squire, Aobe traveled extensively with his
brothers and sisters from Fortress. In battles, he always emerged victorious,
setting an example with his strength and courage. Unfortunately, he also
showed arrogance towards them, as if their efforts were inferior to his. This
led him to realize that no matter how strong or bright you are, you should not
shine too brightly, otherwise you will simply overshadow the individuality of
those around you. He understood that he should treat them with respect, not
impose his opinions, and treat them as he would like to be treated. After all,
even the sun can be destructive.
*** Laws
Traveling through the cities of Thera, Aobe eventually met the Blood Tribunal.
At first, he thought it was a good thing, as it strove to keep order and
protect everyone in the largest cities of Thera. However, upon getting to know
it better, he realized how corrupt this order was. They accepted anyone, and
most of its members used the law for their personal gain. Necromancers,
anti-paladins, and all sorts of scum filled it, completely discrediting its
purpose. He tried to fight it and even obtained a warrant. However, he
understood that by trying to change this order and fighting against it, he
only brought more chaos into an already chaotic life. He asked Lady Baerinika
for advice, and she gave him a strict edict: use tactics to take the battle
outside the city. He intends to follow it throughout his life or until he
receives another edict.
