Description
Before you stands a tall, lanky human with skinny legs and arms. His body is
gaunt and very pale. Most of his body is covered with black cloth over any
armor he wears. He has small arcane runes tattooed behind his ears and his
black eyes are bloodshot. Most of his body is covered in clothing, but you
can see scars on the back of his hands and neck. A sneer crosses his face as
he looks about himself. His eyes burn with hatred as he takes in the world
around him.

Aomiern has no real knowledge of where he came from, or of who his parents
were. Aomiern was taken, or perhaps sold into captivity at a young age. He
was given then to a powerful dark mage who used him for some experiments on
mutation and transformation. Aomiern only really knew pain from birth, and
the memory of his own tortures. However, like many captives of torturous
people, he began to be drawn to them instead of recoiling from them. He came
to adopt the beliefs of his master and eventually to even be treated decently
by him. If half as many whippings can be called descent. He began to
understand and look to the tortures as routine, and not something he cared
about. Instead something he looked to for strength and promise. He has a
strong dislike for anyone and everyone, however he is cold and calculating
and will do what is necessary to advance himself. Years at the hands of his
torturers taught him that pain could bring pleasure. His mind has been
twisted by dark and chaotic thoughts of torture and death. He shuns the
light as he has only really spent most of his life in dark cells, and other
dark places that did not touch the light of day. Grass and trees annoy him
as he looks at them with hatred for their beauty. He will do all he can to
plunge the entire world into the same darkness he knows.
The touch of a new master.

Many have asked about Aomierns time in captivity. Here is his story, as
best as I can remember from when he told it to me. Torture and pain was his
life, experiments on his skin and in his bones were able to produce different
affects. His master, who was only know to him as Master Arienth, would fuse
lizard skin to his regular skin, to see its affects, would fuse horns to his
head, then cut them off. He would make Aomiern sprout gills and dunk his
head in tanks. He would give him feathers on his arms, and cast spells to
hollow his bones. It was these experiments that lead to the death of his
master. At one point, after brutal beatings to see how the lizards flesh
would help his recovery, he then cast a spell to allow Aomiern to sprout
horns again. As he pulled his whip from behind his back, Aomiern, with the
fury of a bull within him, gored Master Arienth through the neck. Blood
covered everything, and Aomiern just smiled. It did not take him long to
become hungry, and so he partook of the corpse of his master. After
delighting in the blood and meat he took the keys from his masters belt. He
let himself into the dark house above the place he had called home for so
many years. He found bread and cheese in the small kitchen and ate that for
a few days, venturing out only at night to drink water from a nearby stream.
Finding himself hungry again, he ventured to a small village near his forest
home that seemed to be plagued with troubles. He had no trouble dispatching
a few animals with his horns and feasting upon their remains. It was not
long after this that he was out in the forest at night, and was attacked by
brigands. The brigands, finding him repulsive and poor, beat him to a bloody
pulp. Dawn came and with it a man walking among the forest, speaking with
the animals. He found Aomiern and being a student of fate, believed that
perhaps this mutilated being could become a great value to him. Taking the
nearly lifeless body in his arms he traveled to the city and brought Aomiern
to his guildhall. It is here that Aomiern was brought back to a semblance of
life, and began to learn to read and write. The new master recognized a fire
within Aomierns desire, and began to teach him spells to use his
mutilations to his advantage. It did not take him long to teach Aomiern how
to get rid of, and call horns to his head when he wished. After awhile his
master was able to get Aomierns story from him. Aomiern described his
torture, and his former master. The guild master seeing Aomierns eyes
fill with hate bade Aomiern to take the last name of his former master, to
show his power over him. It is with this masters bidding that Aomiern
took on the last name of Arienth... Time passed, and Aomiern Arienth left
the guild, having learned to transform his body. He then only waited to see
what his mutilations might bring out of his body as he grew in power and
strength...

Aomierns rise to power and strength through mutilations can only be seen
to him as a thing of chaotic darkness. The thought of how his forms defy the
wisdom of the texts within the chasms vast library. Even his foes comment
to him about the power of his ability as their bloody, bludgeoned corpse lay
at his feet. He has begun to give thanks for these things to a new teacher.
Not a Master he serves, but a master who is wise and spreads the force of
darkness and chaos throughout the land. He had a touch of this Masters
power not long ago, as the corpses of elves lay at his feet. Perhaps this
Master will be able to lead him down paths of greater power, and stronger
mutilation? Perhaps he will point him toward a goal that Aomiern has been
looking for since the middle of his climb within the guild? Perhaps not.
Aomiern has never been one to rely on the ability of another, but will not
deny the power that he can use from others. It is with these things in mind
that Aomiern continues to venture, obtaining knowledge and power.
