Description
Behold, it is a figure both captivating and aerodynamic. Atop the subject,
its tufted head moves in a slow, sinuous rhythm and sprightly eyes dart
about the room in accompaniment. The white feathering of its head gives way
to a ruddy hue beneath, which is obscured by various armors of leather and
metal. Large wings flutter slightly behind its back, and appear to be able
to extend from their folded position to a great span. Its limbs are lean and
muscled, if undersized, and terminate in vicious black talons.

the long and the short of it

Unsure of his parentage, raised by diverse and morally questionable entities,
and somewhat bereft of most ethical and social instincts, this (at times, verbose)
arial craves something. He does not know what it is, precisely, though he
believes that fame (or some type of bowel-wrenching notoriety) would likely
accompany it.
a name on a wall

So along went Aorsax: advancing within his newly-joined Dagdan
guild, attempting to get a sense of his surroundings, and making
himself a bit of wealth along the way. No bold resolves did
strike him - he simply waited, knowing soon fate would cast his die.
And so it came, with word from Koai. All Arosax knew was that Koai
had "(elite)" scratched beside his name on the wall of the guild.
What that meant was uncertain, but Aorsax knew it was time to make
his first play.
Aorsax learned Kaoi fought a war against magic, and that the guild
truly was a small one, with only two or three members of import.
He offered Kaoi his services, knowing that only with knowledge and
time could he seize control of the guild.
He also chuckled to himself, realizing that the guild was a room
in a barn filled with bats, in a place that nobody cared about.
But it was a start...
a plan is formed

And the day came when Aorsax had progressed sufficiently within
his guild that a world of options began to open up to him. He
studied the fabric of society around him, seeking a seam. As he
pondered his future, Aorsax embarked on explorations for fortune,
knowledge, something... more.
On many of his explorations, Aorsax sought more magical scrolls
and pills to add to his growing arsenal. He knew these items of
power held the key to his inevitable mastery of the Dagdan guild.
He had seen the dark Imperial mages use their powers to great
effect against their enemies - and so sought out ancient
parchments imbued with dark and unknown magics.
As for the Village, he knew that his kindness for them would not
last if they learned of his goal. And so from them he would
keep his ambition hidden, and find their blades a useful shield.
But he knew the day would come that he would bring Koai to his
knees, that the guild would be his - and the Village would burn
as a sign to his enemies.

With discipline, Aorsax continued to advance within his guild. He
carefully studied all available techniques, except for what his guildmate
Tiburo once called, "that ear-slappin' claptrap". His repute continued
to grow within the Dagdan guild, but ever did he remain second to the Villager
Koai in contributions.
As for the other factions, he kept them quite confused as to his true allegiances.
He had alienated the Fortress of the Light, then ameliorated the situation, then
attacked them again. Then he assisted the paladin forsk in beating off the Imperial
Dread Lord without explanation. Following that Aorsax made peace with the Imperial
Dread Lord Talleyn and declared his true foes to be those of the Village!
But all the while Aorsax felt his position continue to solidify, as powerful
alliances began to solidify and less profitable alliances began to fall by
the wayside. With Tiburo as a supporter within the guild, he directed his
energies to a single goal - the removal of Koai as the Enforcer of Dagdan
and the purging of his faction from the guild forever.
some instability develops...

His plans began to coalesce, but the work was very slow. Aorsax found himself
at times descending into chaos. As he struggled to amass wealth, he wore
a new face at every turn. Always he fought with profit in mind, and the notions
of good and evil were foreign to his thinking.
But his aspect and his words did shift from sanctimonious righteousness,
to impassivity, to wickedness - and he transitioned with great ease among his
personae.
And one day the thought crept into his mind, as he boasted his piety to a denizen
of the holy fortress, that he might actually believe the words he spoke. This
trickle of thought soon became a flood, and self-doubt wracked Aorsax.
Exercising his will, Aorsax did his best to bury his inner turmoil beneath his web
of facades. But at times he seemed to be changed. Not quite so calculating,
and at times impulsive, the forces of chaos seemed to tug at Aorsax, sometimes
robbing him of reason altogether.
