Description

A slim figure stands there clothed in drab greens and browns. He holds large weapons that belie strength in his otherwise wiry frame. Under the plain hood, short locks of heavily soiled blonde hair can be seen framing a very light, but healthy looking face. Small amounts of dirt have been spread in lines underneath eyes as blue as the sky. Despite the mass amount of dirt and grime, he could almost be mistaken for a high-elf if it were not for the nose. Where you expect a small point, it is rounded and very uneven, as though broken more than once.

Role

The Beginning

Added Tue Jun 7 16:34:52 2005 at level 12:
The light of the moon was the only thing that illuminated Aptonmir's birth.
By the very same moonlight his birthgiver perished, leaving Aptonmir in the
care nature. And nature did Aptonmir well. He survived somehow, perhaps by
instincts born into him. But by the time he was beginning to walk an Elvish
exploratory party found him and took him in.

Forced into the care of the explorers so that he might have a better life,
the elves discovered his sharp eyes and thus gained a new scout. Aptonmir
enjoyed his first few years with the elves, but the exploratory party
eventually tired of exploration and created a settlement. This is when
Aptonmir began to recall what he thought of as 'the time before'. More and
more the settlement became a cage for Aptonmir, and the time before became
freedom. Freedom from his cage, freedom from the punishments he garnered for
improper speech and dress.

Fed up and tired, Aptonmir decided to leave, and despite refusals from the
settlement council he left anyways. Only a single guard tried to stop him,
and the guard was promptly wounded and left for dead, but not killed. For
Aptonmir knows the Elves meant him well, but still cannot justify that for
caging him into the town that was so foreign and painful to him.

A Direction

Added Tue Jun 14 12:35:30 2005 at level 24:
Upon exploring the realms, Aptonmir has found meaning for his life. He is
free now, and roams the wilderness as he wills. He sees so many, however,
that are not free...that are bound by the city, in the city, and by it's
laws. He sees so many that would rather dig their own grave than forsake the
slums of the city and it's corrupt laws.

Aptonmir means to fix this. He has done it alone so far, but the task is
overwhelming and one person seemingly makes no difference. Secluding himself
and communing with the lands which he calls mother, Aptonmir has been
enlightened to the onetime existence of Thar-Eris and those that seek to
restore it's splendor. Holding this in high esteem Aptonmir seeks the
Harbinger out.

Every Road has its Bumps

Added Tue Jun 21 01:46:47 2005 at level 37:
Having failed in finding the Harbinger, Aptonmir strengthens his resolve to
become one of something more than himself. He now seeks divine intervention
in his quest...seeking out the god he has heard named Innis. He believes in
Thar-Eris, and believes that he can bring change around, waking more
ancients, but that he cannot do it all alone.
