Description
The first thing you notice when you glance at Aubarelle is
her hypnotic eyes. The cornea of her eyes are crystal blue
while the iris is pure white. Her skin is a milky white, as
if untouched by the sunlight. She has a silver ring through
her left nostril and wears a silver tiara over her brow. A
long snow-white fur coat encases her from head to toe. On
her right wrist is a tattoo of a crystal artefact of some sort,
around it is an inscription written in a foreign language.
Role
Background
Added Sat Jul 2 05:58:48 2005 at level 1:
Aubarelle started out as a promising young Sorceress from Hamsah Mutazz.
It wasn't long before was recommended for and accepted by the High
Tower of Sorcery. There she studied in the eastern wing, the Black Art
of Necromancy. As was common for all aspiring black mages, she was sent
out alone into the harsh winter of the Frozen Wastelands as a rite of passage,
to survive five weeks on her skill and wit alone. There, she stumbled upon a
secluded valley, where she found a gigantic statue of a Demon, carved from
the ice itself.
When she rested a hand on the statue, a voice spoke in her head - the voice
of an Ice Demon, which rested inside the statue. It promised her power - showed
her a vision of a Dark God in the grip of a new ice age, with Aubarelle as its
undisputed ruler. She was taken with the vision - and agreed to become its student.
Visions
Added Sat Jul 9 06:21:23 2005 at level 20:
Under the Demon's tutelage, her skill in the Black Arts has grown, she became able
to raise golems from spare body parts found lying around a graveyard. Her bond to
the Ice Demon has grown as well. Her visions are becoming more frequent, as if
it is the Demons channel of choice for communication. Aubarelle is still coming to
grips with her new life away from the High Tower and she has noticed strange
changes to her body. Her tolerance for the cold has become extremely high,
conversely, she feels repelled by the heat to a greater extent than what she
was used to. She'd prefer sleeping under the stars in the frozen plains as opposed
to a rug and blanket infront of a fire in the Copeham Inn. She has also noticed
that her once perfect skin has started to grow small black blotches which are
raw and painful. This has made her slightly more self aware and she constantly
endeavors to make sure her coat covers these unsightly blemishes.
The Snow Witch
Added Wed Jul 20 05:11:14 2005 at level 39:
She is known as the Snow Witch, now. She is obsessed with the maze-like workings
of the frozen wastes, where every step is greeted by the same white backdrop. She
has come to know the tundra well and has been spotted on several occasions kneeling
down infront of an ordinary wall of ice. Ordinary at least to an unsuspecting onlooker.
Aubarelle wants to make the vision the Demon showed her a reality, and the path to
that reality has been shown to her. The Demon has explained that the balance of
good an evil in this realm must be altered. Altered in a way that the eternal shadows
will creep in and blanket this ground in darkness. With the veil of darkness comes
death and decay. She can bring the whole of Thera into the grip of a new Ice Age,
so she can sit atop the Frozen Throne. There is one thing about Aubarelle that
remains unexplained - her body weakens almost daily and she is finding herself burned
by sunlight. Whether this is the Ice Demon's doing, to hurry her along in her ultimate
goal, is unknown. Perhaps it is a sign of her "un" life to come.
Character Development
Added Fri Jul 29 06:00:51 2005 at level 42:
Aubarelle has always had a strong sense of self worth which was enhanced moreso
when she passed her rite of passage that the Tower had imposed on her. She doesn't
feel the need broadcast her ego and tends to keep her confidence to herself.
Having spent so much of her youth alone, she has not been able to develop her
social skills as much as the average woman of her age. She prefers to travel alone
with only her undead, decaying army to keep her company.
She had put so much trust into the Ice Demon that she has little to none left for
anyone else. An arms length to all else is as close as she is comfortable with.
Despite the fact that she spends little time with others of her race, she is meticulous
when it comes to her appearance. Many a fingerprint can be found on the icy walls
of the frozen tundra where she has cleared some frost to improve the walls reflection.
As she ages, she grows more conscious of the toll it is taking on her body.
