Description

This small Gnome stands at just under three feet in height. Her eyes are wide with dark brown irises leaving almost no spots of white across the eyeball, her nose is long and thin in the center of her face and her lips are a bright red. When she smiles her teeth show as bright, mostly crooked, white and rounded, though her cheeks flare out and her eyes seem to brighten even more. Her hair is long, bushy and tangled, hanging down towards the middle of her back. Her hands are delicate with long appendages, the nails covered in faded blue paint, and the back of her hands are covered in a thick mesh of bushy brown hair. Her clothing is fairly erratic. Her top is made of multiple colored fabrics that seem to have been blended and sowed together by a color blind Dwarf that had taken far too many strikes to his bearded head, and at the bottom of her multicolored skirt are very clouded and chipped near-clear colored gems dangling from the edge. Her shoes are covered in dirt, and you can barely make out that they look to be a pair of humans shoes that children would wear to temple, though her pair are very tattered. Around her neck hangs a necklace with five metals, one representing each of the following constellations: The Anvil, The Ring, The Crab, A flame and a Dragon's Tooth. Though all of the Elemental constellation pieces are tarnished and filthy, the Tooth seems to shine the brightest, though the tip is broken off and it's badly bent.

Role

Second Meeting with Twist

Added Thu Dec 27 15:00:13 2007 at level 49:
Well this one went a hell of a lot better than my first :P I didn't get
killed this time! Basically talked about all the things I've been exploring
and how I'm trying to be a better mage (which is a lot for me, since I've
never explored a ton before, and one of my main goals with this character has
been to explore). Basic plan of action now is to continue looking for my
barrier sleek and keep working at the veil, try and become a bit more
recognized and try to arrange exploration parties with the Inn. Will try and
master a good four or five paths before I bug Twist again and try to get
tattooed. Basically I'm trying to not suck so much at game knowledge, and
possibly PK but that's not a big thing with Aubrei, as I can save that for
the next Invoker I make.

"Vision": Magical Utopia

Added Fri Dec 14 04:21:16 2007 at level 43:
Alright I suppose a bit of explanation for this role beforehand would be
pretty handy. Basically what's happening is that since I'm playing Aubrei a
bit more seriously than I had thought I would, I thought I should flesh her
out a bit more. With her being more mature now (see last role), I needed a
bit more flesh as to a variety of things for her roleplay. Twist's religion
is a great place to start for trying to expand the depth of this character,
so I figured I would have Aubrei have a dream that she believed to be a
vision of the future, a sort of magical utopia. To help get to that utopia,
the forests need to be purged slowly but surely so that they can be replaced
by magically improved forests, and villagers need to be hunted down for
halting progress towards the way the future is suppose to be. With this in
mind, I wrote up the dream Aubrei'll have and put it right here below if
anyone wants to read it :) I wrote it so that it's the reader in the dream,
instead of Aubrei explaining it.

----

Floating far above Thera, you are able to see many different changes from the
current form of the world. The most obvious thing from this perspective is
that the major cities of Thera have grown in size immensely. Cities exist
floating in the air and upon the waters, and with a shift of your view, you
stand in a city that is completely submerged in an ocean, though the waters
are held at bay by a giant shield of magical energy. The streets in this
underwater city are paved in platinum, and giant golems of precious metals
roam the streets. Statues of several mages can be seen outside of a council
building, and many different races can be seen walking in the streets,
ranging from Elven folk and Gnomes to Giants. Located within the center of
the city is a statue that stands at roughly fifty feet in height. The base of
this giant statue is made of platinum and gold, though the figure seems to be
completely made of magical energy, rather than any sort of metal. With a
quick shift, you now find yourself within a thick area of foliage and nature.
The trees here seem to be quite different than what you would normally find
in a forest, and a bright aura of magic seems to flow from every inch of the
wilds. The animals that roam within the forest do not seem to be average
either, but rather magically improved versions of the mundane versions that
would typically be found. With another shift, you stand in what is obviously
the village of the Battleragers. The totem has been torn down an in its place
stands a statue of Twist, though this time it is made of precious metals. As
you walk about the former village, it becomes fairly apparent that it is now
a committee devoted to the expansion of magic across Thera for the
improvement of everything that can be improved. With a final shift before
awakening, you stand within a temple that appears to have obviously belonged
to Kastellyn, though now thirteen statues of mages from assorted races stand
in a circle around the main foyer, and an ancient looking mirror has been
placed in the center, an aura of great magic radiating from it. Upon the top
frame of the mirror can be seen the words, "Look within yourself to find your
potential, trust in your talents of magic, not in your fragil body."

Aubrei is growing up *tear* Just not too much

Added Thu Dec 13 01:14:46 2007 at level 42:
So as much as I love to play Aubrei as an annoying, hyper and spaztastic girl
who lives in a fantasy world, I think it's time to bounce her up a bit to a
hyper, random and spaztastic semi-mature girl who lives in a fantasy world.
Just a little more serious, without a huge drastic change to acting
incredibly proper. How I want to move into this is that Iunna gave me that
beaten up doll - (Glowing) a tiny doll of a multi-colored winged lizard - and
God dammit, as cute as it is I just need to make it a focal point in my RP :p
That's basically going to be the symbol of her child-like behavior, and
she'll cling onto it even as she acts a bit more mature. Anyone steals it and
all Hell will pretty much break loose from her though, since that'll be her
most treasured possession.

Now what exactly does "mature" entitle in Aubrei standards? For starters,
she'll stop calling Twist "Twisty-poo!" so often, but he's still going to get
it every so often <3. Maybe I'll stop asking Iunna if I can keep her if I
promise to let her out to go potty and feed her. Most likely though I'll just
fix the way Aubrei talks, so it's like a normal hyper person instead of "I
wants a horsey ride!" *bounces up and down in place*. Either way, I'll try to
tone down the annoying while keeping it still fun for me, with every so often
bursts of ultra-Aubreiness.

Aubrei likes to gamble, oh noes!

Added Tue Dec 11 12:20:19 2007 at level 39:
With as random, crazy, chaotic and spaztastic as Aubrei is, the random
chances of gambling are just too enticing. Gambling is a big addiction for
Aubrei (and to be quite honest, myself :p) so whenever she has a chance, she
ends up wasting all her gold there. Items that Aubrei wins from gambling
though will be sold to others or given to patrons at the Inn or other
Heralds, since I don't want to keep a giant stock pile for nothing. Have
already given away a LOT of stuff for shits and giggles, and Hell, who
doesn't like free useful things on the MUD? Gives me something to do and gets
other people some nice things, plus generates some RP with actually talking
to them and giving them stuff, not just "Here have this" and walking away.

First Meeting with Twisty-Poo!

Added Fri Oct 26 13:46:00 2007 at level 22:
A little discouraged by her first meeting with Lord Twisty-poo, Aubrei has
set out on continuing her education in her magic, hoping in time to hear from
Twist how to herself be a greater mage and even better fortune teller, since
she is very convinced that she has a great potential in her. Though the
meeting was not what she had hoped for, as her gifts were not very well
accepted by Twist, she takes happiness from that he even took the time to
speak with her, meaning he MUST see the same potential in her! He even said
to continue her studies, he did! Aubrei's fully convinced that she'll be one
of the greatest mages ever, and just needs to find a way to unleash all of
the magical energy inside her and to be able to use it. To Aubrei, this just
means that the next time she prays to Twist she'll ask him straight out how
to be more powerful, have more presents set aside for him and she thinks
she'll have to butter him up by giving items to the couriers, since Twist
can't be that mean, he has a dog! Evil people don't have dogs, they have cats
named Gargamel and stuff, and clawed hands, and all the other fantasy book
stereotypes that Aubrei filled herself with growing up.

on an even more OOC note, I ever mention Aubrei is really naive? :p

After Hillcrest: Band of Gypsies and to Galadon We Go!

Added Sun Oct 21 14:32:00 2007 at level 9:
Having left Hillcrest, Aubrei found herself traveling through to Tir-Talath,
where she meets up with a band of Gypsies who travel across Thera. Finding
the leader of the troupe in the bar of the town, she talks her way into
joining the caravan as they head towards Galadon and across the eastern road
to Hamsah Mutazz. Quickly many of the others in the caravan began to realize
that this young Gnomish girl couldn't tell you if it was going to rain in ten
minutes, let alone tell anyone their real future past "You're going to find
yourself in Hamsah Mutazz!" or "I see dinner in your future!" Keeping her
around for mild entertainment to patrons, Aubrei was finally kicked out of
the troupe in Hamsah Mutazz for telling a woman that she was to be robbed in
her near future. Sure enough, as the fortune was being told there was a
gypsies hand in her pocket, taking her extra coins. As she left the caravan,
Aubrei simply shook off this change and moved on east, finding herself in
Arkham where she was soon forced to live in the streets as others refused to
pay her for her predictions, all which seemed to follow the lines of "I
see...poverty in your near future...and a lot of sorrow around you..." which
pretty much defines the entire town. Again, Aubrei simply shrugged this off
as the others being unaccepting of their own fate in lieu of her amazing
abilities to see the future. Having been kicked out of every Invoker guild
along her path for her destructiveness and lack of finesse with her magic,
which she simply grumbled that they obviously didn't understand her great
power, she decided to do what every great adventurer in her books has done,
go to Galadon!

Aubrei as an Invoker, and leaving Hillcrest

Added Sun Oct 21 14:22:44 2007 at level 9:
Growing irritated by Aubrei's constant remarks of seeing everyone's future
and always living in her own fantasies, her parents finally gathered the
money needed to send her to the fine guild of Elementalism in Hillcrest,
hoping that with time she would learn to be reasonable and be able to aid in
her family business. This just didn't happen to be the case. Convinced that
she could see the future, Aubrei soon began to wonder how this had come to
be. Checking through charts that she made to find the location of the
Celestial Eye at her birth, she determined that the location of the eye was
very close to the Unicorn/Dragon's Tooth at her birth, therefore she must be
very powerful with magic and this is why she is able to predict things. This
though, couldn't be further from the truth. She misread her own charts and
had placed them together wrong, the real location of the eye being very far
away from the Unicorn Horn indeed. Every day she would go to her lessons in
the guild and tell more people fortunes, create large accidents with her
magic and devastate the guildhall. Finally reaching their limit, the masters
of the guild sent her on her way, but in order to not shatter her poor little
heart they told her that she was simply too powerful with magic and could not
be taught any more in the Hillcrest guild, which in turn strengthened her
belief that she was very powerful with magic and that those mistakes came
from her inability to control her own power, but should seek out other
guildhalls across Thera. Beaming with joy, she ran home to tell her parents
that she was soon to leave Hillcrest and adventure on her own, just like the
people in her books. Boy, was she excited!

Aubrei the Fortune Teller

Added Sun Oct 21 12:25:49 2007 at level 9:
Born to a family of Herbalist and Florist in Hillcrest,
Aubreiliazaxianiphilhakmxz (Called Aubrei for short, outside of Hillcrest)
always had time to read in the shop of her parents when not tending to the
duties of work. Having read through many stories of great adventures, love,
feats, magic and gods, Aubrei grew up living in a world of fantasy, her mind
never set in exactly where she was or what she was suppose to be doing. One
day in the shop, as she read from a book on divination, she decided to look
at the leaves of tea at the bottom of her cup. At the bottom of her cup was a
tangled mess that looked like someone had spilled potting soil all over the
floor, but she was convinced it was a skull.
A week later she had almost forgotten about her cup of tea and the leaves at
the bottom of it, and had moved on to a wonderful novel about a young Gnome
who had adventured out of Hillcrest with only the clothes on his back and a
stick in his hand. Now normally once a week old Mr. Oxibliectrocak comes into
the shop to buy flowers for his home and wife, so when he came in Aubrei
thought nothing of it but to give a simple greeting and return to her book.
That just happened to be the last day Mr. Oxibliectrocak stepped into that
store, for as he placed a rose to his nose and smiled at Aubrei, his eyes
widened and glazed over before he fell to the ground, dead as a bookworm.
Rather than leaping up and helping Mr. Oxibliectrocak, Aubrei looked at the
body and grabbed that old book of Divination, recalling what she had thought
to be a skull in the bottom of the cup. "Aha!" she proclaimed, "I can see the
future! That's my special talent!!" Without even moving Mr. Oxibliectrocak
off of the floor or giving him a second glance, she leaped over his body and
ran out the door of the shop to tell her parents that she had seen the
future, and it had come to pass! Quite disappointed when her parents ignored
her abilities to see the future to rush to the shop and Mr. Oxibliectrocak,
she went back to her book of divination, fully convinced that she could see
the future.
