Description
Before is a female half drow with long silvery hair and light black skin.
Her eyes are deep red, and gentle coloring surrounds them. She is
average height and build for one of kind. Her face is smooth with a
hawkish nose leading to gentle, soft lips. Her fingers are slender, and
her legs long. Her elven heritiage lends itself to her beauty, and yet
her human side makes her ears less pronounced.

Chapter 1 - A Costly Escape
Added Thu Mar 20 06:06:21 2025 at level 20:
"Hurry! This way!" an elven woman with bright blue eyes shouted as
she unleashed another spell at the dark elves pursing the group.
A pale green and tan feathered arial lets loose a series of strikes,
followed by a powerful taloned wheel kick to one of the dark elf
warriors. "Sorrialanna, go! Ortak and I will slow them. Just get those
people to safety!" he screeched.
From a rock outcropping, lept a mud-stained black-furred felar,
unleashing a fierce war cry, causing several stones to fall and slam
into the group of dark-elves. Quickly he lept with his sharp claws,
rending one of them across the throat and ending the pursurer's life.
Sorrialanna unleashed another quick spell and nodded, herding the
group of people towards the waters of Vorallia's Tears. A cry of pain
beside her caught the mage off guard,as an arrow from a dark-elf
crossbow struck one of the escapees, killing them instantly.
"Quickly, onto the raft!" the elf ordered. "We won't be able to hold
them off much longer." Another bolt killed a second passenger,
leaving only a young girl and her mother.
"Mrrr, Machka, we go now." the felar growled as he lept from rock to
rock, evading dark-elf adamantite. As the two turned to get to the
craft, they yelled a warning, but it was too late.
A dark-elf warrior dressed in fine adamantite chain appeared beside
Sorrialanna, striking her head with a mace, knocking her prone and
disorienting the high-elf. He sneered, grabbing the woman and child,
"I only kept you around because you are my daughter's mother. How
useless you are."
The woman tried to plead, only to be met with a dagger buried in her
stomach. Perhaps the certainty of death or the fear for her daughter's
safety gave her strength, for in that moment she seized the warrior
and lept into the river, sweeping them both away.
"Mom?" the young half-drow girl cried as she watched the two
disappear over the falls.
Chapter 2 - Stormy Knights
Added Thu Mar 20 06:13:33 2025 at level 20:
A few years passed since the young half drow girl was rescued. Her
life was still a struggle. No home, no family left her growing up in the
white streets of Voralain as a beggar. Even the pristine city of light has
its dark corners.
Today was a bad day. The skies were dark with forbading clouds.
Winds howled and whipped through the streets. Aulindria found
herself curled up against the Crow's Nest. The walls of the building
did little good in stopping the onslaught of rain, leaving the young girl shivering.
The Crow's Nest was busy, even in terrible weather. Patrons found
their way to the tavern, its drinks, and its women.
"Lookee what we have here. Cold are ya missy?" a woman asked.
"Why don't you come inside?"
Aulindria looked up to see one of the working girls looming over her,
a grin upon her painted face. "We've got warm food and fire inside.
Join us. The place could use a new girl."
As the woman stretched her hand out, Aulindria's hair on her arms
rose, electricity filling the air as a sudden bolt of lightning slammed
into the pavement.
"Get away from her you harlot!" A voice rang out. The two turned to
see an aging woman, clad in armor symbolized with two ravens. Her
gray hair billowing in the wind, only held in check by a silver circlet
upon her brow. The woman's face scowled at the harlot sending her
retreating back into the Crow's Nest.

Chapter 2 - Stormy Knights (part 2)

The lady knight turned her full focus upon Aulindria, her scowl
changing to an inviting and warming smile. "Now child, come with me
and I'll see your fed and given dry clothes."
Aulindria stared for a moment, swearing she could make out a faint
golden aura around the knight. The glow was inviting and so she
agreed. Anything was better then enduring this storm.
Weeks passed, and Aulindria found herself still in the care of the
Voralian Templars and Nicolette. She mimiced the knights there to
the best of her ability, trying to do as they do. Then Nicolette
approached her.
"Aulindria, do you wish to become a knight like us here?"
"I do, I very much do." Aulindria eagerly replied.
"That is wonderful, but you should understand that our life is
dangerous and difficult. Many fail and succumb to darkness, and some
just out right find death. Do you really wish this?"
"Will I get to help others?" Nicolette responded with a nod, "Then
yes! I still very much so!!"
"Then I shall take you to the Academy in Galadon. You will train there
and it may be years before we see other again. Remain brave and
keep your wits about yourself."
And so Aulindria joined the Academy to become a Paladin.

Galadon. Aulindria was running a late for her first day at the Academy.
The crowded streets of Galadon did not make her path any easier as
she had to shove, bob, and weave her way through until finally she
saw the arched gates of the Academy. Already a small crowd of fresh
recruits were lined up. A quick glance she saw a gnome, a frost giant,
and several humans.
Standing before the group was a storm giant holding a pike. She was
taller then most female storm giants, almost as large as any male. A
welcoming warmth radiated from her despite her imposing frame.
"Welcome new adventurers! Through these gates you will find the
Academy and the start of your new life." the giantess known as
Jeseztha greeted.
As she continued her speech, the frost giant took notice of Aulindria.
A big toothy grin crept across his face. He kneeled down to speak to
her, "Gud! Is happy see dark-elfy person. Loke thought only goodie
goodies be here. Wait, you no magic is?" the giant glared.
"No, I'm no magic, but..." Aulindria was cut off with a big slap on her
back from the frost giant.
"Loke glad. After school dingy, we go smash dings gether. Be lots fun,
yah!" the giant laughed. The gates of the Academy opened up and
Loke charged ahead, "Loke first!!" he shouted, bowling over the
gnome in the process.
Aulindria sighed, helping the gnome to his feet. With a nod of thanks,
the gnome hurried inside. Aulindra took a deep breath but a
reassuring smile from Jesezthra calmed her nerves as she too entered.
The Academy wasn't what she expected. Signs were posted all over
the place, each one guiding the would be adventures to where they
needed to go. Aulindria managed to find the one pointing her in the
direction of the paladin guild, where she was met by man dressed in
unadorned polished metal armor.

Added Thu Mar 20 06:37:34 2025 at level 20:
"Ah, yes welcome! Looks like you are the only one in this class.
Wonderful, lets get started shall we? First grab one of those wooden
swords and shields over by the wall there." the man motioned.
"Now I'm going to teach you a few basics to help you against the
denziens within the caverns here. Also, do note others will know you to be paladin."
"Denziens? Wait, we are going to fight things?" Aulindria frowned,
worrying about the nature of how the creatures were kept and
treated, being forced to fight.
Seeing the look upon the young girl's face, the man waved his hands
apologetically in front of himself, "Its not like that at all! They are
created here and don't have feelings or anything like that. They
simply just exist to help you get experience in combat."
Aulindria let slip a big sigh of relief as the man continued, "But they
can hurt you, so I'm going to show you how to swing that sword, use
that shield block attacks, and even use your weapon to parry. Here,
follow my lead."
Aulindria found herself moving through the Academy once again. She
gripped her sword wondering if she will remember the basics the
guildmaster taught her. She hardly noticed a man dusting a shelf of
figurines as she strode by, and finally entering the cavern.
The cavern was dark, but her dark-elf heritage granted her the ability
to see in darkness. Gulping she continued forward, ready to test what
she learned when a gruffy, old man hollared.
Who was this old man? What did he holler? Find out in the next entry! (to be continued)

"Hey girlie, over here!" Aulindria turned her attentioned to the shop
keeper. "If you are going into the cavern, keep your eyes peeled from
some red mushrooms. Olde Pap here is running out of materials to
craft potions and I'll reward ya if ya do."
Aulindria nodded and continued towards the cavern.
"Remember lass, red mushrooms!" the old man shouted as a reminder.
She could hear combat in the distance. A bit to the north west she
could see the frost giant, Loke, laughing with glee as his axe buried itself
into something. At least he is having fun, Aulindria thought.
She didn't even realize that some sort of pink creature had appeared
before her. It just stood their, blinking at her. "Wait, are you, is that a
fleshy creature?!" she said her thoughts outloud.
Gripping her sword tightly she attacked the creature who responded
in trying to defend itself and hurt. Beating the creature wasn't hard,
but it was clear that Aulindria was not very skilled with her sword yet.
As the creature turned to a puddle of pink goo, a few coins were
found beside it. Not much, but a few coppers do add up.
She had not noticed another one of the creatures before it was on top
of her, this one was more rabid, foam dripping from the sides of its
mouth as it lept at her. Quickly Aulindria placed her shield between
her and it, knocking the creature aside. Then a second one flanked her
clawing at her shoulder and tearing the unprotected skin of her arms.
Aulindria yelped in pain, but the injury wasn't enough to slow her, as
the adrenaline of the fight pushed her to slay the pinky creatures. She
barely had time to collect the coins when the gnome she met before
came running by, tripping and falling to the ground.
He quickly turned uttering a magic phrase and sending a bolt of flame
into a pursing fleshy creature, melting it into a pink puddle. Aulindria
outstretched a hand to help the gnome up. He studied her a moment
and batted her hand away.
You are probably wondering why? And geeze this chapter is long! One more entry I think (yes continued)

"A paladin? I, Zizban had no need of help from a paladin! Thar-Eris
forgive me for even thinking about it!" he hopped up and scurried off.
Shaking her head, Aulindria continued her task of fighting her way
though the caverns and the never ending fleshy creatures. After some
time she found two merchants. One sold her some fine leather
sleeves to help protect her arms and the other some copper rings.
Feeling better armed and more comfortable, Aulindria found a
passage leading down deeper into the caverns. A guard was talking
with Loke about something as she strode past the two. The air was
certainly heavier here and gave a sense of more danger.
Aulindria encounted stronger creatures, pushing her harder and
harder. Her keen elven eyes spotted a hidden panel into a room with
a treasure chest, where she found a pair of fine leather gloves and
better yet, beside the chest were some red mushrooms! The kind that
old man, Pap, was looking for.
Gathering the fungus, she made her way back towards the upper
cavern, this time the guard interceded.
"Hello there. I see you already ventured into the deeper parts. I had
thought to warn you, but that thug of a frost giant couldn't understand
what I was telling him. Kept asking if my jug was magic. Perhaps you will?"
Aulindia paused, listening.
"Well, I'm posted in this spot and its hard for me to leave and I'm
thirsty. My water jug here is empty. Could you fill it for me? I'm kinda
picky and really like the water from the fountain of the Temple of the
Moon. That giant didn't understand, but I'm sure you'll figure it out?
He thrust his jug into Aulindria's hands.
"Hmm, a paladin huh? I'm sure you are a helpful sort. When you are
done here in the Academy, my best bud Wilhelm usually needs a
helping hand with deliveries. Just tell him Simon sent ya. Now off
with ya, lass. My throught is getting more parched with each passing moment."
Aulindria, now tasked with a few things took her last steps in the
Academy and back into Galadon. A better sword, though still wooden,
from gathering those mushrooms for Pap, it was time for her to make
her mark upon Thera.
One such mark would be to find a patron Immortal to serve. She had
one in mind: Einoh.
Whew that was a dozzy. Finally the end of Chapter 3!
"Look out behind you! Hold on, is that a fleshy creature!?"
