Description
Deep purple tendrils of mana writhe around the small and
lithe figure before you. Her skin is a pale gray, unblemished
and smooth. In pillar like fashion, her seemingly pupil-less
eyes radiate piercing white light outwards with such brilliance
that it cloaks the rest of her face in darkness. White, braided
hair is pulled back tightly, joining just below her shoulders
and tied at the base with what appears to be barbed wire.
Her thin, black lips are cracked and blood drips from the
left side of her mouth.
She is packed tightly into a black corset, bound painfully at
the back by more barbed wire. Her upper arms are exposed
to reveal ancient black writing tattooed on each. Below her
elbows she wears black leather gloves embroided with silver
threads. You notice a mischievous grin flash across her face.
Role
The Pagan Life
Added Sun Jan 29 23:18:12 2023 at level 24:
Born in the twilight of the third age Jatran was an early Emperor
who ruled before the final sunset of that era. He was known for his
military campaigns to expand the Empire, as well as for his public
works and social welfare programs. He is also remembered for his
just laws, which were aimed at protecting the rights of the poor
and other marginalized groups.
During his reign, Jatran conquered Gehenna (modern Dra'Melkhur)
and conducted a series of successful military campaigns in the
east, including the conquest of the Barovia and the annexation of
Balator. He also initiated a number of public works projects, such
as the construction of new roads and public buildings, as well as
the establishment of welfare programs to aid the poor and disabled.
Jatran was well known for his support of the arts and culture, and
he was credited with having commissioned many monumental public works,
such as the Golden Bathhouse (which was subsequently razed in the
Fourth Age), which celebrated his victories beyond the Dragon Sea.
Upon his death, and despite his many virtues, he was consigned to
the ferry ride that all lost souls take on their way to eternal
darkness. He was a pagan in his beliefs. Though innocent, his
ignorance to the Grand Design left him among other such pagans
to wander the grassy castle forever.
Or so he thought...
A Second Chance
Added Sun Jan 29 23:18:40 2023 at level 24:
The Grand Design was that Jatran was to be given a second chance
at living. A second chance at dominion and obedience. A recently
deceased body was found in the graveyard in Balator and infused with
the spirit of Jatran. One moment he was walking the eternal halls with
Doxos and Lupakan and the next he was painfully digging himself out
of a shallow grave (much to the surprise of the orphans and villagers
nearby).
He has been given the body of one named Baalzira, a mage that died
at the hands of Thrym. He now wears barbed wire as a reminder of the
pain that awaits him should he fail in his second chance. With each
step towards acceptance into the Grand Design, a barb will be loosed.
His spirit has awoken with scant knowledge of his former mortal life
but has an understanding of his purpose. If the Design was to walk in
the body of a female, so be it. She will seek guidance from the Dark
Lord Destuvius as she grows accustomed to her new surroundings for much
has changed since the Third Age.
The Black
Added Sun Feb 19 02:42:08 2023 at level 33:
Under the leadership of the Dread Lord Zrannaiw, Baalzira has been
accepted into the Palace and the Black sect. She is experiencing a
feeling of deja vu in many of her duties under the Imperial cloth.
Order is everything to her and when she entered as a Black Servant
she knew her position; so she was humbled when the Dread Lord spoke
highly of her. Baalzira impressed upon Zrannaiw that her loyalty
was to the Holy Overseer followed by the Emperor followed by the
Dread Lord. That is her order in this life until the last breath
of this vessel.
She found herself having to bite her tongue and respect the order of
the black cloth when Elite Lultrin spoke poorly of the Dread Lord.
Baalzira believes the elite resents that they themselves are not on
the council. The elite fails to recognize their own place in the
Palace. Personal ambition does not come before order.
One barb from the wire against her back holding her corset tight breaks
off and falls to the ground at her feet.
