Description

As his hands clutch his instrument, Babalubagini beams a smile all around the room. The smile seems to be forced so that he may move his tongue in a silent whistle without anyone noticing.He hasn't quite perfected that art yet, as you can tell. His hair is brown and ruffled, and his eyes sparkle. As cheery as he looks, the redness of his nose clearly shows his constant inebriation. A crude song journal is stashed in between his armor and his chest, and is slightly visible every time he turns.

Role

With a strain and a push, a baby flew out of the crying woman who
laid out ever so ungracefully on the table.  The husband grew tired of the
woman's incessant whining so he quickly shoved cockatrice butter into her
mouth.  She began licking all inside of her mouth to remove it."So, what do
you want to name the baby?" mouths the husband."Bobabeflaberihini" danced
the mother, mouth full of cockatrice butter.  "Babalubagini it is" sang the
father.


It has been said and read that Babalubagini's first words were him
farting the tune to "Traveler's March" which is a famous song among bards to
sing.  This ushered the father to give his offspring a simple wooden recorder
which made the baby look more charismatic and would greatly help him sing and
look nice.  Good for him.  Thanks, dad.


So Bablubagini would watch his mom and dad fight all day about who
got to watch the grass grow and who had to water it three times daily.  He
hated how one would torment the other verbalizing "HA HA IM WATCHING IT ARE
YOU NOPE!!!"  Thus started Babalubagini's incite to balance.


Later, Babalubagini witnessed a chicken dictatorship (sounds like a
kickin' potato chip doesn't it) on a farm.  One chicken was a mean chicken
and beat up all of the other chickens if they would get too close to it. 
Babalubagini killed this chicken and then saw all of the other chickens
living in harmony.  Babalubagini liked this and decided the balance of power
was the great good for the greater number.  Babalubagini was an Everyoneist.

Babalu gros Boredalu

A chapter of Babalubagini's life ended as soon as the villagers
stopped sacking the Island day in and day out.  What was there left for him
to do?  He would merely sit around and sing all day until his voice had done
him in.Every so often, Babalu would check his pockets and find a new item
or two.He never once figured out how he acquired these, but this was
probably due to his rampant drunken state.

While he worked on getting every single note and every single pitch
in all of the songs his guild master had taught him, Babalu itched for more. 
He itched so badly that he scratched.  He scratched for more.  He needed more
excitement in his life.He decided more booze would be the answer, although
this turned out to not be the case.

Babalubagini decided he'd master a few more songs and head out to
find adventure!Surely learning the final song of his repertoire would bring
him joy.  There was nothing left to do but wait and see.

A Brief Description of Happenings

Babalubagini plopped down into the grass, hands behind his head.  He
had had some very interesting fights lately, and he planned for such great
adventures!  Babalubagini had everything all planned out, he did.

While laying in the grass, Babalubagini thought of ways he could go
and slay the famed Tiamat that he had been reading so much about in the
papers.He decided it best to send out a letter to every able body he could
research in Thera.  Perhaps if the strongest of the strong banded together,
they could slay all of the dragons in preparation for slaying Tiamat!

Thus is the prologue of a new life for Babalubagini, a life of
exploration and great adventure.

The Ancient Green Pt 1

With a quick tuck and roll, Babalubagini had successfully evaded the
claw of the Ancient Green Dragon.  Etristasat cast a magic, causing the
Dragon to flail his body around to face the invoker.  As the dragon turned,
the tail slammed into Babalu, sending him flying backwards.

At this moment, time froze for Babalu.  He felt the tail break a few
of his ribs, though he wasn't sure how many.  His mouth was gaping, with
saliva spewing outwards.  Though it would seem to any on looker that Babalu
had merely been hit hard by a tail and thrown into the cave wall,
Babalubagini swore he had been flying towards that wall for at least half an
elven hour.  He peered at Etristasat and recalled one of the last things that
Etristasat said to him, "Don't worry, I'll keep you alive."  Babalu was
unsure whether or not the term "keeping someone alive" meant "help someone
die quickly" to invokers.

Babalu recalled a time when he and a friend of his were children. 
The friend had dressed himself in leaves and branches, stomping around and
roaring as a dragon (in this case, a rather tiny one) might.  Babalu lunged
forward with his stick, jamming it into the stomach of the dragonling.  His
friend curled over, hurt and crying.  Babalu never imagined a real dragon
could be much worse.

The bard couldn't help but think "What's poetic about this?  I am
flying in the air to my death.  Surely I can record this as a poem?  Hm..
Roses are red, so are my guts, I just got pounded by a scaley mut!"  With
that thought finishing, a sharp and quick pain entered his body as soon as it
had left.  He had hit the wall, and his head slumped over his now inanimate
corpse.

The Ancient Green pt II, Fwipplethunt

Babalubagini sat around and thought for awhile.He hadn't realized how long
he had really been with the Nexus.  He and Fwipplethunt had been walking on
the island for years now, and they were the last two of the few original
members.  Babalubagini remembered of the reason he made it on to the island,
Glijimees.  Or was it Giljipeas?  He couldn't remember that much.

Nevertheless, Babalubagini had a newfound respect for Fwipplethunt.  The
elder was going to die soon, and Babalubagini felt as though Fwipplethunt was
his older brother of sorts.  Etristasat offered for them to go to slay the
green dragon once again.  As soon as Fwipplethunt confirmed he would go,
Babalu immediately offered to join as well.

The group easily made work of the dragon, and Babalu walked off happily with
his trophy and hoping he had proven to Fwipplethunt that he was a worthy
companion.

The Great Bo'Finicini

There were tales of old of a great Dragon Slayer from the first age
of Thera.  His name was unknown, but must just called him Bo'Finicini,
because that was the name of the tune he wrote specifically for the dragons
he'd go off and slay.  Babalubagini had no idea what his last name was, but
this man was his idol, so Babalu adopted the tune's title as his last name in
order to honor Bo'Finicini.

Every since he heard the tales of the Great Bo'Finicini salying the
queen of all the dragons, he too wanted to slay the dragons to be like his
idol.  Babalubagini spent day after day studying books of creatures to learn
more about the dragons - and he even ventured in to some of the lairs to look
at them!  The Dragon Queen, Tiamat, was elusive, however.  It was hard to
find information on her, so he would simply have to make due with her tales.

Babalubagini talked with his guildmaster about dragons, and learned
how to fight them better.  One day, he will truly live up to Bo'Finicini's
name by slaying the Dragon Queen.
