Description
Sweaty and reeking of the sea, this stocky, fire giant has an odd, yet very
appealing charm about him. Seemingly strong enough to hack the leg of any
creature clean off with a single blow, the strange thing is that he could
probably talk them into letting him do just that. There's just something
about his demeanor that is more than alluring, yet still deeply sinister.
Glistening in the available light, his charcoal skin is coated with a layer
of sweat and greasy, orange body hair. Measuring roughly ten feet in height,
he is burly and strong. The visible muscles of his neck, arms, and legs are
almost freakishly bulbous, the rest of his body being concealed by his armor.
To keep his long, flame-like locks out of his face, he uses various pieces of
leather to tie it to the back of his head. A few shells have also been
secured to pieces of his hair. From the matted, partially dreaded condition
of his hair, you can tell that bathing is not a priority. The smell of
pheromones dances through the air. Almost completely black, his eyes are
very active in taking in his surroundings, scrutinizing everything.
Role
Sold to the Highest Bidder!

There wasn't much of a childhood to remember in the volcano. The fact of the
matter was, his parents loved money more than they loved him, so he was sold
not long after he learned to walk.
The price?
Not more than a handful of copper coins.
The buyer?
A ship captain named Baorris the Vile.
The reasoning?
He'd always wanted a son, but having lost both testicles in a poor gambling
decision on Sirine Island, he was unable to spread his seed. Being a fire
giant, himself, he settled for adopting one of his own race, but he was sure
not to overpay.
His "father," Baorris the Vile
Added Sun Dec 19 01:57:42 2010 at level 1:
The man who purchased the young fire giant wasn't actually all that vile, by
modern Theran standards. He was, however, a master of deception and
cunningly charismatic. Long ago, he was taught, by the captain before him,
that a man's reputation carries a lot of weight. Therefore, instead of
actually committing all of the depraved acts that he and his crew were famous
for, Baorris put a lot of money into marketing himself as a feared pirate.
This spreading of information and fear ensured surrender by most that he came
across on the high seas. Put plainly, he was a man that enjoyed having nice
things, enjoyed seeing the world, and lived by his own rules. He found that
role + being a sailor allowed him to do all of these things. Sometimes that
meant he had to rape a woman or two, but for him, that was just part of the
"disguise." He also enjoyed the physical pleasure, of course.
Before our tale continues, I should make it clear that the name Baorris goes
back for generations. Of course, it started out with a man, almost a century
ago, but when he died, his reputation, his name, did not. It was the
practice of the crew to elect a man to carry the name Baorris. Generally
speaking, the greediest scoundrel with the most magnetic personality was
named to succeed the aging Captain Baorris. This seemingly endless career,
combined with his reputation for being so heartless made Baorris a legend.
That said, there have been many men that have taken the name Baorris the
Vile.
Baorris the Vile

Sure, he was the son of the Captain, but his father went out of his way to
make sure that the Baorris-to-be was not doted upon. In fact, he went so far
in the opposite direction, that many would say that the boy was neglected by
his father at times. Having to fight for anything he got, the child soon
grew strong and agile with most anything that could be used as a weapon. To
hold onto what he'd take, he employed the use of his devilish charm. The use
of his bewitching allure combined with his physical prowess made him the
obvious next choice for Captain. Fully aware that a ship does not sail
without an organized crew, each performing their individual tasks, he
employed this orderly nature of sailors to satisfy his greedy desires.
The Wreck
Added Sun Dec 19 01:58:43 2010 at level 1:
It was late into the night when the ship hit the coral reef in the middle of
the Aryth. The hole was huge and the ship sank in mere minutes. Only a
handful made away in the dinghies, even fewer survived the limited rations of
being set adrift for weeks. Those that did make it away, he never saw again.
Young Baorris was able to survive, though it meant feeding on the flesh of
the deceased. This, he did not mind doing, but the taste wasn't what he'd
call savory. Luckily, his kind never had a problem boiling the salt out of
the water by channeling their inner heat. It was during these weeks at sea,
alone, and left with only his thoughts that he found his connection with the
divine. He was delirious with hunger when she appeared to him one day,
riding a wave. She spoke of her own ship, the Thundering Maiden, and told
tells of glorious adventures on the high seas. It was the first time in over
a fortnight that his sinister grin returned. His giddiness caused him to
stir and he awoke, his small boat clanking against the docks of the Sultan's
City.
A New Ship
Added Sun Dec 19 01:59:11 2010 at level 1:
Filled with the wrath of the Captain, he knew what he must do: he must build
a new ship and find a crew. Powered by his greed, his faith, and the
reputation of Baorris the Vile, his drive is great. Fully aware that to
succeed, he would require a fair bit of gold, he set about to saving.
Strength had never been a problem for him, so he turned his talents to the
strong arm of the law: saving, scheming, and using his cunning suaveness to
recruit those that will help him see the maiden voyage of his new ship.
The Piss on the Badge
Added Wed Feb 2 16:31:34 2011 at level 41:
After some time in the Spire and seeing how weak the most of them are,
Baorris the Vile has decided that there are better ways to make money than to
sit around a bunch of idiots. The retched fools that call themselves
'Magistrates' aren't fit to sail a rowboat, much less make worthy shipmates
once his new ship is complete. Being that Baorris marches to the beat of his
own drum and moves to his own music, those of the Spire didn't appreciate his
song, nor could they handle the fury of the storms. However, not all hope is
lost for him and his new ship. With every day, his dark reputation grows.
There are many that know his name and understand his deep greed. After all,
this is what he seeks: to be renowned throughout the lands for the terror
that he is at heart. He has been convinced by Khaden, an Elite Imperial
Shadow, that a small investment pays large dividends. Vile has decided to
abandon the sinking Tribunal ship and go where he has seen a true display of
power and join the Imperial Army.
He is very happy with the money he has set aside during his time using the
badge to make gold.
Plucking his badge from his chest, he threw it on the ground, removed his
leggings, pissed on the badge, put his leggings back on, and headed for
Imperial lands.
