Description
the human your gaze lands upon is of an average height and build. His
complexion is fair, and carries all but a few scars, which would seem
normal for a middle-aged man. His brow is slightly furrowed, and sharply
outlines his green-blue eyes. A distinct look of honesty is displayed in his
eyes, and a glimmering of mischief, too. Despite his hawkish look, he does
not look very unfriendly at all. His facial features all comes together with
pointy nose and a sharp chin covered in a tasteful beard. You notice a
couple of small pouches hanging from his belt, and a dagger in its sheath,
ready to be taken out if the situation should call for it.

Quirky, to the point, and honest, and sometimes even considered a bit
lippy. Bingham had all the opportunities in the world to succeed.
Fairly wealthy parents that gave him a good upbringing with all the
moral lessons one would expect. Despite all the things that was in
Bingham's favour, his underachieving tendancies almost always got the
better of him. He never really felt like he could get a good footing
in the world, like he was being pulled between two polar opposites
Like most boys his age he desired some excitement, adventure even, in
his life, a desire that guided him towards the Galadon docks. There he
managed to pick up a crummy job as a sweeper, which under normal
circumstances would've bored him to no end, driving him up the walls.
But it served a particular purpose, getting him close to the docks
where merchants and other peculiar people would emerge on a daily
basis.
He met elves, drunks, dwarves and all sorts of personalities, all
bearing with them epic tales of all kinds of things. Still that did
not satiate his curiosity. Being of such an easily bored nature,
what had started innocently. with listening and asking all the wrong
questions to the wrong people, soon escalated.
"C'mere ye bloody thief! Ah'm gonner cut off yer stinkin' 'ands!"
Rushing headlong across the dock, enraged peddler breathing down
his neck, Bingham had snatched a jewel as it exchanged hands between
seller and buyer. It had been a spur of the moment, but there was
a shimmer about the stone that had enthralled him, so deeply in fact
that he, without any regard for safety or subtlety had just nicked
it from under the men's noses.
Having the advantage of youth and adrenaline, Bingham found himself
slipping away with relative ease. The precious stone felt hot to
the touch as he had held it tightly in his fist, his breath was laboured
but he had no time to think about that as he marvelled at the stone,
and how easily he had come to acquire it. He soon realized, after
studying his booty slowly and meticulously for several minutes, that
it must hold some magical property of sorts. Being so close to its
power, he couldn't help but ponder the larger issue, where did it come
from, what was its source?
Reaching for more.

After his initial excursion, he had later gone back to the docks, to
try and find out more about the stone, or perhaps find other things
of a mysterious and magical nature. He found trinkets here and there
that he attained through more subtle means, in contrast to his first,
albeit successful, attempt. By coincidence or destiny, he seemed to
have stumbled over a skill that came naturally, as if sleight of hand
was a instinctive as walking. Many would have serious misgivings about
his ventures, but he didn't care one way or another. He thought that
ignoring this pursuit would be to deny himself a part of that which,
in essence, had come to define him.
He had become so attached to his first loot, that all kinds of devices
of size that he could lift from less mindful hands, he now felt a need
to take for safekeeping. He couldn't see them go to waste or be misused,
or even ruined. He understood that they held some greater value, what
that might be escaped him, but he thought it was as if the power they
displayed weaved into all things.
"I guess I will just have to go out and take some more things, the
answers have to turn up eventually!", he mumbled to himself, as he walked
into the thieves guild, anxiously hoping for the guild master to teach
him something new, and if not, look elsewhere for answer to that as well.
Tugging forces.

Perplexed with ever more questions about things he thought he used to know,
now part of the Nexus, Keepers of balance, more questions come at Bingham
faster than he can find answers for them. But it keeps life interesting.
He feels that he's much closer to the weaving tendrils of magic the penetrate
the world around him, and he very much like being so close to the tending
of the flow... perhaps in time, with being a keeper, he'll understand the
inner workings of it all.
But it's a difficult path to walk, one not without mistakes and misgivings.
There are strong feelings within the Isle, voices tell him to pick a side,
something he's not at all comfortable with. He wish only to remain neutral
in the proceedings, especially during this time of voting, a time in which
some very harsh things have been said...
Bingham tries to ignore it and listen to the reasonable parts and consider
it in silence. He's thought about seeking advice from the Rhyme and Meter,
but he's hesitant as he doesn't want to sweep the rug from under him by
saying something foolish and look less than he is. As it is, he feels
appreciated, and he wants it to stay that way. For as long as possible.
Towards that personal goal, he does his duty to the best of his ability
in hope of being recognized as a great Keeper one day.
In the wake of a passing.

The Rhyme passed on. Bing was devastated, not knowing what would happen
next, to the Isle or him. Mostly he feared for the Isle, considering
the tensions lately between Treyliu and Torgark...
Bingham took to heart the trust placed upon him by the Rhyme. But it
saddened him deeply that he never was able to see her off. Treyliu
seemed to have great hopes and faith in him, and the other Keepers,
but it's a journey of many hardships, and Bingham is just starting
to feel a bit of wear and tear, on body, soul and spirit.
The joy has diminished, and the fight, he feels, is ever more pressing.
