Bixbar was born farm more repulsive than his kind usually were. Wether a Minotaur
managed to breed with an Orc or a curse was put on his birth, there were never
anwsers. There were years of torment, rumors, accusations.
Luckily it was a good time to be a Minotaur in Seantryn Modan. It was social
status to sponsor and free Minotaur. Their lives across the Aryth was so hard that
few made it anyway.
Bixbar fought minotaur pit fights to support himself. He could have made enough
to leave Seantryn but he spent all of his gold trying to fix his deformaties. Hair
transplants, skin dying and the best doctors could do. After a few fights, despite
his success, Bixbar was forced to lose. The crowds wanted to see the ugly beast
defeated and he was paid more than for winning. This went on for years.
After one of his best and most expensive surgerys, Bixbar returned to the
battle pit looking better than ever. The crowd cheered him this time and he was
excited. The fight was canceled and his pit boss beat him nearly to death. The
Boss scolded him and threatened to remind him that his character as the ugly
beast was the only thing he would ever be worth. The newly moved hair was
cut back out and burns replaced the new look. He looked worse than he remembered.
The fights would continue once he was healed.
That night he prayed genuinely for the first time. He pled to not live disgusting
vand swore to do anything to be beautiful. That night he was visited by a godly
presence.
"This what you want?" He had been staring at himself in the mirror, it shimmered
and now reflected a well groomed, more human like Minotaur with beautiful red short
fur. He was dressed in a sharp officer uniform. His heart leapt.
"My Blades are beautiful. Show me how you fight and if you impress me, you can
always see that in the mirror.
In the next battle he killed his opponent in seconds. Chaos ensued but the godly
figure burst into sight int he middle of the pit. Noone was in the mood to argue
with whatever this thing was. A pile of gold dropped in front of the pit boss and
he quickly disspaered. Bixbar was walked to the docks by this being as an announcer
quickly anounced another battle. The presence spoke again. "I need real warriors,
you are good but any well trained warrior would slaughter you. Train until you can
choose a weapon and take the oath. I gave the boss five gold, bring ten times that.
As a Blade I expect a hundred times that donated. Be beautiful and welthy or you
will regret it eternally. It blinded him as it dissapeared.
Bixbar never heard or seen this thing again and always wondered who or what it
might have been There was no going back on his word though. He was the only
vone who saw the beautiful soldier in the mirror but that motivation changed the way
he carried himself and trained, noone would have known the difference.
Struggle
Added Wed Mar 4 01:35:06 2020 at level 38:
It was not a secret that Bixbar began to struggle. The weapon choice looked
like the most beatifu thing. Minotaurs and mounted guards rode thru town
looking unstoppable. It turned out to be mostly a show, the weapon in war
was not always practicle. The masters were few and far in between. Bixbar
did not beleive he would fail though, these were challenges that would make
him stronger. His weapon focus would remain and he would push thru to get
all of the training that he beleived would make it work.
His seat as a War Master was nearly guaranteed if he could pull out of his
rut. There were no other Blades that he had seen in several years.
THe emperor and Shadow Lord were on his side and they controlled all of
The Empire for now. They needed a War Master, they needed Bixbar.
Elite
Added Sat Mar 7 22:45:03 2020 at level 40:
Bixbar could not be more upset that he was not made Elite Blade.
There were no other Blades. it was a miracle he survived.
The Shadow Lord Hid, the Priestess had godly powers to pray for.
The Emperor could not be understood. He had already been hell
bent on perfect and mastery of his arts. He had started making
corpses that counted but his orders were clear. Train train. He did
not even know what to expect but had no other choice. He knew
that his word was deeper than the Blood Oath when it came to
serving the Empire. He was not being treated like the Beautiful
Minotaur he was but there had to be an answer. He wanted and
needed that Elite training. He wanted to be an Elite and then a
Master but the Emperor seemed to only want a Master and no
Blades. The Emperor could be insane, it could explain the reform of
Scion and the lack of Imperials.
The orders were clear though. Train. Train to kill the Drow Village
warrior.
Gaspare
Added Sat Mar 7 22:58:12 2020 at level 40:
Bixbar definitely felt a couple blessings. Still a mystery to what they came
from but it meant he was doing something right. It kept him going.
Gaspare showed himself to the land and while Bixbar never had the courage
to pray, he did speak. Gaspare wanted a corpse and his villager prey got away.
Back to the training, he should have cut him off better. By the time he made
a worthy corpse, Gaspare was nowhere to be sensed. He knew the gods knew
all and felt better and better about his training. He was working. He dismissed
the Necromancers and Shaman all togther because the Emperor's needs were
made clear and it was simple. Train and kill warriors. Easy.
War Master
Added Fri Mar 13 22:54:40 2020 at level 42:
Bixbar had embraced the Emperors order to make training a priority. It could
be interpreted many ways. He did not want to rank into Hero combat without
Elite Blade training and show he trained day and night.
Gaspare almight himelf did advance him to Elite. Oddly enough not long
after the god showed themself and raised him all the way to War Master.
This was dangerous. Bixbar had not proven himself to many and had been
in few fights that mattered. He had to prove himself quickly and was in
over his head. His enemies would still have more advantage until he caught
up. The satisfaction that he would never admit was that Gaspare was not
happy that the Emperor had not raised him already. The Emperor would
also be careful to demote someone that the Almighty raised. He would just
need to carefuly catch up in rank and seek Macalla. While aggressively
recruiting oaths. If he was lucky, the rest of the Council was busy trying to
take the throne.
He knew that Gaspare had always been his greater power and would never act
otherwise.
Think for self
Added Wed Mar 18 14:22:59 2020 at level 48:
Bixbar had been serving and trying to survive so long that he had not noticed
the riches and power he had. He was still young but now the Imperial War
Master. Raised by the Lord of Empire itself Gaspare. Something the Immortal
said haunted him. Can you think for yourself?
It brought all of this to his mind and more.
He destroyed the Commander of battle straight up. That was what Thera thought
the best warrior. His training was right on and he fought as wel as he was
confident. He made the training decisions and put in the hours, he deserved the
The glory.
Gaspare was loud about what he wanted and his distate for the current trends.
Bixbar was free, rich and powerful. He wanted more of it. He was not smart
enough to figure out how to worship Gaspare openly and also think for himself
and be his own though. He wold work to a powerful Blade and a beautiful
powerful Empire that held the Emperors items of power and amassed riches to
be sang of for ages. Gaspare should like this and it made sense to Bixbar.
The Emperor and Shadow Lord showed how much they supported him. Slowly
he was trying to be more assertive and felt he had a chance for the throne
eventually.
