Description
Excessively fat, the gnome before you stands well under three feet tall.
His eyes squint through fat cheeks, bushy eyebrows, and a bulbous nose.
His beard is long, but patchy, and is greasy and full of food crumbs.
His clothing appears to be fighting for its life, even if he isn't. All
over, it bursts at the seams, with each button or clasp threatening to
give way at any moment. In fact, the only ambitious thing about him is
that he managed to fit into this clothing at all. He waddles when he
walks, and it seems he may have more success rolling about than
attempting to move his weight under his stumpy legs, whose knees barely
bend on account of their girth. When he speaks, spittle sprays from his
mouth, gathering on his beard, and on the less fortunate.

Recent events and hopefully a future for Blingderny

Honestly, I didn't know what I wanted to do with this character. This is my
first hero in 20 years, and I was just trying to get a feel for things.'I've
had some pretty great experiences along the way, however, and have developed
a bit of a personality, some friends, and had a couple cool experiences over
the last few days that have shaped and fleshed Blingderny out a bit. I'm
sure this isn't the conventional use for Role, but I wanted this documented.
Blingderny is fat, often (but not always) lazy, a bit of a complainer, a lot
sarcastic, but a people pleaser. He's also typically jolly, likes making fu
of, if not drawing attention to, his round belly and "healthy" appetite. He
has no structure in his life, however, no plans for the future, and so he
drifts from Theran to Theran, seeing what others have and have built for
themselves, and secretly desiring those things for himself. Not murderously,
but in a "why do they have all those nice things and I don't" kind of way.
He's like a child in so many ways, both good and bad.'
Some unlikely individuals have extended kindness to help him obtain some
things, primarily Tribunals, despite his chaotic (which he has always
maintained is just an "unstructured") nature. Atrael specifically, however
there have been several along the way.
Recently Blingderny was sitting in the Galadon guildhall with a Tribunal, a
felar, grumbling about the secrets known by the guildmaster, Anttila, and t
cryptic nature / guardedness she kept around them. To be fair, Blinderny was
in no position to explore most of these secrets on his own, not yet being a
Hero, but Blingderny always likes a good gripe session.'Anttila eventually
grew upset, and scolded the Tribunal and Blingderny for their ingratitude and
lack of wisdom.'This stirred something in Blingderny, making him think he
should take his training a little more seriously, and a lot less for granted.
After Anttila went back to guildmastering, something remarking happened - a
Griffon swooped in, let out a might roar, and flew away. Blingderny took to
the skies in his newest form, the golden eagle, but sadly the Griffon was
gone. Neither he nor the Tribunal could scarcely believe what they had seen,
and Blingderny is still waiting for the right time to share it with his
closest friends and mentors. But he cannot shake the feeling the vision was
meant for him, being both a lion and an eagle himself. This further inspired
him to "do something" and, although unclear what that could possibly be, he
felt something change inside him.
More recent events

Even more recently (8/4), Blingderny wandered into the Inn of the Eternal
Star to buy some food, and saw Damil speaking to a water skin.' Finding it
odd, he made some sarcastic remark, but then Rarywey's presence was revealed
and it became obvious that there was already a conversation between her and
Damil. Blingderny felt a bit out of his league, and mostly kept quiet,
except when spoken to, when requesting more meat balls, or when he felt ready
to make a well-timed quip or remark. A couple things came out of this
conversation, however, that, along with the previous interaction just a day
or two before, further churned what had already begun stirring inside him.
The first was Rarywey asking Blingderny if he was giving his devotion to an
Immortal. Blingderny had not given this any thought, shiftless as he is, but
for the first time felt inadequate because of it. He was a bit stricken, but
also a hint of resolve materialized within him.'Damil pushed him further,
telling him to "get his name out there" and asking of his ambitions but,
having none, Blingderny felt ostracized.
The second piece of the conversation worth noting came from a story Rarywey
told, about past friends, one of them being a murderer, albeit a friendly
one. Blingderny quickly made comment that "The Friendly Murderer" belonged
as a stage production in that very establishment, which was met with some
amusement by the other two. However, Damil quickly suggested that the title
needed great improvement, and Blingderny was equally parts hurt as he was
angry. In his anger, he quickly devised a plan he hoped would hurt Damil's
feelings. Knowing Damil is a chef, Blingderny came up with the idea to for a
new cabal, the "Kitcheners," and suggested a banner get put up above the
kitchen in the Inn saying "More meatballs for the meatball gods, more gravy
for the gravy boats!" He took this a bit further to say the Kitchen would
ensure seasoning returned to the gods, as mortals cannot be trusted to wield
such delicious power without corrupting themselves and those around them. To
this end, their powers are Truesauce and Spicebowl. Damil seemed excited
about this, which pleased Blingderny. Blingderny even quickly went out and
got the Item of Power, a large wooden spoon. Damil eagerly wanted to where
to obtain this, but that is when Blingderny decided to "hurt" him. He
refused to disclose its location, being his Item of Power, and said the Inn
could not house the Kitcheners and, in fact, they were enemies (of a sort).
This likely dismayed Damil at best, but Blingderny, childish as he is, felt
pleased with himself, as if he "punished" Damil.
Time will tell if Blingderny continues this charade, as his overwhelming
nature is to sit back and want things without the drive to go out and achieve
them for himself, but with this seed planted with him, who can say if this
will end up Center stage, or something else?
