Description

A short and squat figure stands proudly before you, his form appearing inquisitive as he leans against the haft of an enormous skull-headed mace with folded arms. Beset with a pair of extremely bloodshot steel-gray eyes, they accenuate the pebbly-like skin surrounding a burly and heavily-muscled frame. Bedraggled and interwoven with a series of severed fingers, toes, teeth, eyes, and whatever other small small trophies he can manage to pry off his foes dangles from an oily mess of an ashen coloured beard. A cowl formed from a finely-skinned mountain lion is drawn over his bulbous head, the maw of the beast framing a face littered with countless battle-scars. While standing a paltry three feet in height, what he lacks in size, he easily makes up for in raw savagery and ferocity; the air around him is one of an extremely lethal individual.

Role

Freedom from Aran'gird

Added Thu Sep 20 17:39:41 2012 at level 32:
Born within the deepest pits of Aran'gird, the product of breeding
svirfneblin women with a resident 'bull' male who would impregnate
them; Boggdok was cursed into bondage the moment he seized his first
breath. Taken from his mother after a few days and sheltered within
a nursery with others who would be groomed to mine the deep and dank
tunnels of the Underdark, a mundane life followed Boggdok, one which
compelled him to work day and night, slaving for his duergar masters.

Seventy years passed in those miserable living conditions, seven
miserable decades of clawing, hacking, and picking through the
toughest and most sturdy of stones. These jobs were left to those
attuned to the Earth itself, to the precious svirfneblin whose line
had long been cherished for its ability to augment and be in tune with
the soil and stone composing Thera.

The Gods would never answer Boggdok, and he would pray often. He would
pray for escape, for sweet release... and in the end, he would pray for
a simple and painless death. It was his own two hands and pure ingenuity,
a magic spell misfiring, the veil of Magic choking it too deeply at that
exact moment in time, it were those chance occurances that led to his
escape from the bowels of the Underdark.

It happened as an anti-paladin slaver was too busy getting drunk, instead
of paying attention to the trio of svirfneblin he'd been assigned to
oversee for the day. They pounced on him the moment they could, Boggdok
acting as the leader, filling the other two with a moment of courage, so
much so that they charged the anti-paladin, trying to beat him to death
with chained fists. This didn't work nearly as well as Boggdok may have
This wasn't the only instance of Magic failing that day.

The last words from the mouth of the duergar anti-paladin were "Iceball"
in the arcane tongue. A coalesence of ice began to form suddenly, but as
soon as it began, so too did it sizzle and pop into a burst of harmless
smoke. His captive lay at his feet with the keys on his belt; without
hesitating an instant, Boggdok grabbed his belongings and escaped the
confines of Aran'gird to safety.

Dispositions

Added Thu Sep 20 17:53:00 2012 at level 32:
- Is brash and bold and has deep-rooted beliefs in truly being decent
and respectful to those around him.

- Welcomes challenges in many different forms, considers himself to
be courageous and is extremely prideful on the matter.

- Has little belief that the Gods can change his fate; he believes that
his own two hands are what ultimately decide his destiny.

- Has a hatred for magic after watching it and those who would ply it
as an art. He believes it is a crutch for the weak, and a dangerous
device that should be removed from the hands of mortals, if not the
entirety of Thera.

- Is ready and willing to die for his beliefs with little hesitance,
having already welcomed and invited death during his enslavement under
the duergar.

- Believes remaining pure. In action, deed, and word is the ultimate
core of his being, and what will forge him as a force to be remembered
on Thera forever.

A New World and a New Outlook

Added Tue Sep 25 12:14:21 2012 at level 40:
His reputation increasing with each passing day as a rage-riddled
fighting junkie, Boggdok took a few moments to clarify and even
ponder his own existance when met face-to-face with the beauty of
the Storm; the Goddess Neltouda. Capturing him a bit by surprise
when asking what beyond the rage and fighting really drives his
cause and spirit, even now, Boggdok doesn't really know the whole
answer.

He knows he wants a world pure and free, where a man forges his
own destiny with his hands, instead of manipulating a force as
deadly and volatile as Magic. Having escaped the cruelties of the
Underdark using his own intuition and force of arms by the death
of the other two miners with him; Boggdok learned that what Magic
can give, so too can reality take it away.

He strives to walk now and find himself, find his purpose and his
cause. He knows he will strive to be the most courageous and the
most tested of all the BattleRagers he now calls kin. Where once
he loathed the Drillmaster Varks, he now sees the path set before
him as a trial which has forged him stronger than ever and truly
appreciates it. He knows that whatever trials come ahead, he has
faced his demons and overwhelmed them. With or without the Bloody
Head, he will be always be a force to reckon with now.

Reflections

Added Tue Oct 2 09:57:26 2012 at level 51:
A few significant events have occurred in Boggdok's life, shaping
him into an even more ruthless and talented hunter of the Arcane.

- After a messy raid where the Advisor of Eternal Night, a woman
by the name of Zameida was engaged by three different BattleRagers
in the ruins of Ostagaliath a decree was issued by the former
Drillmaster Varks. In it he stated a new Law which refutes those
of the past, his decree was that no BattleRagers can outnumber a
foe more than two to one, regardless of if a raid was present or
not. He also further announced that the ruins of Ostagaliath
weren't a part of the Village and therefore didn't constitute
as terrain during a raid.

- Citing courage and a lack of parity as his reasoning behind the
new decree, Boggdok would become enraged at the notion. Having
proved on more than one occasion that he can fight and defeat
Advisor Zameida on his own; Boggdok took great insult at the
insinuations of Drillmaster Varks. They boiled over to the point
where Boggdok was ready to put his own hut on the line, if only
to make a point to Varks that the Laws of the Village would not
be so easily cast aside for his own personal wants and desires.

- A bloody battle ensued where Boggdok would stand the victor,
the corpse of Varks laying still at his feet at the Circle of
Rites. As the battle ended, Lord HammerSong posed a question to
each of the two svirfneblin; What had they learned from the
battle? Boggdok answered that he learned that if was willing to
question his leaders and uphold the ancient traditions of the
BattleRagers, that he'd need to be ready to be cast out as an
Exile if he should lose. Varks answered that he'd learned nothing,
and even after being goaded and given several attempts to change
his answer, the pride of the former Drillmaster swelled so deep
that he was unable to admit he'd learned anything. Lord HammerSong
would cast the Drillmaster from the BattleRagers entirely, exiling
him. The words to Boggdok were crystal clear as Varks took his
leave, Boggdok would need to do everything in his power to prove
the Village is better off in his capable hands, than that of Varks.

- His three closest friends and kin inside the BattleRager
collective is Ubudizih, Haphanas, and Kontoln.

- He has a growing hatred for the Imperial Army, the iyre grows
with each passing encounter where they support outside forces in
a raid against the village. Or through them hunting BattleRagers
in the ruins of Ostagaliath.

- Has no concer or regard for Magistrate Law. The only Law he
acknowledges and follows is that of the Tablet and War Room of
the BattleRagers.

- Considers the Lady Neltouda as his patron deity. While he does
not know a great extent of the known dogma of the religion, he
feels as if he has the Captains favour and marches each day
knowing that someone up above is taking a keen interest in him

Boggdoks feelings towards other BattleRagers (Part 1)

Added Tue Oct 9 16:32:11 2012 at level 51:
Ubudhizh - Despite being unable to pronounce his actual name,
Boggdok finds Ubudhizh his closest and most trusted ally in
the War on the Arcane. While he notes a measure of caution in
the blue-skinned giants fighting stances, Boggdok is quick to
understand that a Berserker and a Defender are seperated worlds
apart in what they can accomplish. Boggdok cannot save another
BattleRager caught with a disease, or bleeding to death,
whereas Ubudhizh can. In that same token, Boggdok can charge a
war-party five soldiers strong and walk away from it victorious.
In understanding these differences, Boggdok is seldom one to
chastize Ubudhizh for small blemishes on his personal Parity.
To a giant that has saved his life countless times and become
his closest friend, he is often willing to look the other way
on issues he could well kill another BattleRager over;
particularly a berserker. It is Boggdoks belief that the
Berserkers are those that must symbolize the Tablet first,
before seeking to use the tools of the War Room to skirt
around the tenants of pure combat.

Kontoln - Once a figure that Boggdok looked to with deep
admiration, that child-like awe has hardened into a foundation
of utter respect for the Grizzled Veteran Kontoln. Seeing
someone he now calls a close friend and brother, it pains
Boggdok to see the fierce minotaur growing closer and closer
to a permanent death. In this pain he is often heard barking
loudly at his Elder, particularly in drilling into him the
need to broaden and expand the strategies he employs against
foes. He knows that Kontoln is the sort of Berserker that
prizes a fight on pure and utter strength; and it is this
fighting style Boggdok is trying to break Kontoln from.
Having fought so long in the War as a mere applicant to the
cause, Boggdok incorporates a broad arsenal of strategies,
from playing mouse to sheer and utter domination of an
opponent a few seconds later. It is these important lessons
that Boggdok earnestly tries to impart in Kontoln, to ensure
that the one he calls a brother isn't killed in battle.

Haphanas - While once extremely close with Haphanas, as
the years have passed, Boggdok has become more distant with
the avian warrior whom used to travel at his side at all
times. He still has a close bond with Haphanas and would
easily rush to his aid should the beckon come; however
Boggdok believes that his friend is trying to make a name for
himself in Thera... even if he struggles in doing so at
times. In this Boggdok tries to chastize his friend as little
possible, knowing full well that Haphanas is trying to
prove something to himself and the world around him.

Tiarhelle - The bond between Tiarhelle and Boggdok is flimsy
at best in his eyes. He hasn't seen or fought alongside her
much. He is keen to adhere to any orders she issues to him,
and will uphold them rigorously, as is his duty as one of
her Berserkers.

Boggdoks feelings towards other BattleRagers (Part 2)

Added Tue Oct 9 16:32:58 2012 at level 51:
Cainagren - Called simply Cain by Boggdok, this apprentice
of the Lord Thror HammerSong is not only a close friend and
someone Boggdok considers his kin, but also competition
in claiming the coveted title of MageSlayer. With a deep
respect for the Strength this wood-elf possesses when
engaging the world, Boggdok sees himself very much like Cain.
A svirfneblin constantly testing his limits and trying to forge
himself stronger. In this similarity a bond is knit tightly
between the two, where each acknowledges and respects the other.
While they seldom ask one another for aid... when they do it's
almost certain one or the other is moving as quick as he can
to the battlefield where he's needed.

Maelreon and Jesp - A pair of young defenders that Boggdok
recommended for the War, he is pleased to see both doing fairly
well, despite facing extreme opposition. Both are almost look
to by Boggdok as his young disciples, as if he were a Sensei
imparting all that he knows unto them. He aids them frequently
with trying to outline what they are doing right, and in the
same token, what they can improve on.

Kiraltor - While they have never been overly close, Boggdok
respects and considers Kiraltor a capable assassin and scout.
While they don't speak too often, a measure of respect can be
seen between both should they interact with one another.

Aulrathdien - The Wilderborne Swordsman has deeply impressed
Boggdok with the various battles he's witnessed the wood-elf
fighting in. Realizing that the young warrior is easily among
the most sound strategists in the Village, Boggdok takes heart
knowing that at least one of the younger BattleRagers will
thrive and excel when he grows older.

27 6 Baerinika Whining at Jenkus about taking two items. Whines to me when i vis about how dare someone loot his corpse (When he picked these fights). I told him to man up and get some pride. He declined.
35 37 An Immortal An Immortal added 1000 exp for: A couple of formatting issues (missing line?) in the first entry, but a good "recap" in the second. I expect this character to despise duergar, even if he is in the Village with some.
35 40 An Immortal An Immortal added 50 exp for: A nice little bit of rp at the Inn. He really played up his purity angle.
48 57 An Immortal An Immortal added 400 exp for: He's searching to find out who he is exactly. We might follow Neltouda.
51 105 Rayihn I forgive this guy cause he apologized to Baer for his stupid words, but now he's yammering at Rayihn saying I called him a childish whiner when it was Baer. Dude, try out IC some time.
51 108 Thror While I'm not a fan of your approach at times, you're kicking some tail and showing up A LOT. Have a title for the efforts.
51 114 An Immortal An Immortal added 800 exp for: Role update - Some general musings about his goings on an close friends. The took Varks to the circle and won. Law and the imperials are no good and Neltouda is cool.
51 134 Thror Such a great day of defeating his enemies and he ruins it with an assassination death to Ryuko. He just couldn't keep his mouth shut and it comes off as miserable whining.
51 161 Thror Booted for killing Klik, whom Haphanas called out to duel. He quickly prompted Haphanas for a fight because Haph objected to the dishonor and parity. Too proud. Humble pie.
