Description

A large, mean looking being, this minotaur is a giant among his race, and is obscenely muscled. His dark black skin is covered with thick black hair, further exaggerating his savage appearance. The horns extending from his head and appear thick, black, and razor-sharp. A scar is seen over and below his right eye, though the red hue of his eyes are unchanged. Even other minotaurs would consider him tall and very well muscled.

Bolzhor the minotaur is an angry individual. He is aware of what brought him
into this world, and hates the mages who would create minotaurs to use as
bodyguards. If Bolzhor had his way, all mages would die for being weak and
having others do their work for them. Bolzhor has heard the Clarion call of
the horn of war emanating from the village and seeks to make a hut for
himself there. 

He has no tolerance for weakness, and hates magic with violent intent.
Bolzhor's goal in life is to be the strongest minotaur he knows and for all
his enemies to either die or run in fear, something he has never felt but
enjoys seeing others feel when facing him.

Strength

Not even food itself is more important to Bolzhor than Strength. With
Strength comes Courage. With Courage will come Purity as Bolzhor burns off
the weakness in him much like a smith would burn off the impurities in metal.

No matter how many times he is defeated by the mystical beasts, or the
crushing elements commanded by the foul mages, no matter how many soldiers
bring war to Bolzhor and his allies...In his mind, they will never claim what
he has, that they do not. Strength.

He knows even the strong know defeat at times...The sorcerous wizards may
take his life but they can never take the courage he has built within my
heart...Bolzhor has courage in his soul like a raging fire on a windy day.
Many times the four winds of fate may try to blow out that flame, but always
does the fire remain. He has this courage because of his absolute belief in
his Strength.

Added Fri Oct 14 16:36:11 2011 at level 51:

Bolzhor looked back on his short but eventful life as he surveyed the village
he was proud to call home. He had come a ways since being the naive warrior
new to the village. More battle-hardened, he had made some mistakes and
learned from them. Brothers, and even the commander had come and died, gone
to the dirt from whence they came. 

Bolzhor remembered the teachings of the monks to reign terror on his enemies
with his battlecry, growing inspired by seeing the fear on his foes that he
knew he would never show them. He enjoyed their fear, he admitted to himself.
Seeking the monks out further Bolzhor had sought to focus more on the
fundamentals. His belief that basic battle skills focused with learning from
past soldiers of War would allow him to strike with fury few could withstand.


Two unliving necromancers had walked the lands when Bolzhor was born, now
both dead, but with two new abominations from below Hamsah walking the
surface, Bolzhor has focused on striking dead those who are an affront to
both the living and those who would oppose magic. While not as successful as
he would like, Bolzhor knew he had learned from his mistakes, and would only
grow stronger as a warrior and a berserker of the mighty village.

Only recently has Bolzhor become curious of the gods, particularly Thror, in
that he respects Strength and appears to use fire and the strikes of a hammer
to bend both metal and men into the shape and sharpness most only dream of.
Bolzhor is a bit hesitant, given that he is a minotaur, if any of the gods
are something he will seek out. For now Bolzhor vowed to speak further with
Drillmaster Tontik of this.

Post-rites update

Added Sun Nov 6 21:10:49 2011 at level 51:

Bolzhor is committed to the village but he truly believes that he does not
always have the right tools to defeat some foes. While frustrated, he is
committed to his fate, to shed every bit of blood in his body for the
village. He is glad Akedeh was chosen as the Commander, during the Rites, but
was surprised and angered that Odrallag was chosen to go further than he was,
given the fact that Bolzhor beat Odrallag in the head to head tests and had
defeated him in the circle before. 

Thror told Bolzhor that he was "known for" entwining and then flurrying and
that if Bolzhor did something other than that Thror would show him things,
but Bolzhor doesn't realistically believe that Thror will hold up his end of
the bargain, given what he thinks is Thror's lack of faith in his strength
after the Rites. Despite that Bolzhor is willing to try these suggestions and
has taken them to heart. 

Bolzhor is also angry there are so few supporting Battle members. While other
enemy cabals have numerous support, like the Empire with Raegahn and Sorva
and Reekai that he faces regularly, or even Nexus with two defense/defense
shifters and two invokers as well as a healer, bard and transmuter coming up
the ranks, Battle has none and this angers Bolzhor. Given that he is already
frustrated because he typically faces bad odds, he has grown rather surly.
