Description
You see before you a rugged looking elven male standing six feet in height.
Slightly elongated ears peek out from wind blown scraggily kept white hair.
He appears to have spent most of his time in the sun, wind, rain and snow.
However, he seems to be reasonably well muscled and quick of movement.
Bright blue eyes enliven a sharp featured face with a long pointed nose,
high cheeck bones and a wide generous mouth. You see a distance in his eyes
of hardships and loss that do not seem to show on the rest of his pleasant
face.
Role
Fate. What Was.

Bren was born and raised with the wilder elves south of Darsylon to parents who were passionate about
everything. As Bren was growing it became apparent that he was different. Through lifes misadventures
he had become accustomed to see the loss as his fate. When others would become excited, Bren would
shrug his shoulders and say things like "It was his time" or "Who knows the whims of fate?". His
parents were nonplussed by what they saw as unfeeling behavior. His taciturnity was seen as somehow
wrong.
Bren of course had feelings he simply did not show them very well. He developed a penchant for the
elements and magic. He would spend hours throughout the day trying to manipulate them with little
success. One day his parents brought him to The Guild of Invocation in Darsylon to study under their
Master. He took to it with a will and spent years in learning all that he could and each successive
Mastery brought him joy. And so he learned. His parents were grateful to be rid of the strange boy.
The wilds of Thera and the Outlanders

Bren grew both alone and with others, learning all that he could as he went. Until one day he was
in the plains inhabited by those called the "One-Hearts". In time he met the chief who asked him
a question which fired his imagination about the elements, and in so doing tying the elemenets to
those called the Ancients. He was enthralled with the idea after finding the answers and spent time
seeking out Outlanders. He found the tree and spoke to the Huntress. Soon he spoke with a one called
the Sunwarden who eventually offered him a place within the "refuge". He had become an outlander in
name as well as spirit. It is not possible to be further from the thoughts of his family than at
this time.

Kelei entered Brens life in midstream and he was struck by her confidence and strength of courage.
She led him on both adventure and misadventure that were never mundane and he grew to respect her
greatly. Her thoughts of the great ancient Baerinika and her struggle to understand how she would
grow in her life. Before he had met her, he had thought his fate would be to die against innumerable
enemies of the refuge. Unspeakably vile undead and the cold enslavers of Her, imprisoning her in their
stone, greed and lust for power. Bren simply kept going, determined to see the end out and hopefully
leave something behind to show for it. A renewed effort brought him the beginnings of mastery in
in his magic and a deepened sense of need, to hold onto the dream of Thar-Eris.
Bren had mourned Kelei's death. A shooting star, bright in its ascendancy through the flash of its
ending. He ventured out with others and continued his studies of the elements, becoming proficient
in them. One day the the Storm of the Ancient Ergush appeared before him. It was apparent that Bren
was not his first or even second choice, yet he proffered the leadership of the wardens upon Bren
who accepted with a wish to see the refuge replenished after many sad losses. Time marches on and
Fate marches with it. Who knows what might happen next?
Fate

Let us face facts, Bren is not completely unafraid of the Lich. Yet despite this he was talked into
attempting to ambush that blasted thing. Trepidation? No, no, no, well, maybe. Despite this the
intrepid invoker went out to do battle. With an excellent killer. He did precisely what he was
told to do. In the end he did nothing more. But it appears to be enough, because the lich fell to
his intrepid companion. While Bren was trying not to kill the wolf that he accidentally hit with a
bolt of chaotic lightning, The intrepid elder of the tree finished the task and stood triumphant over
the lich. Bren sheepishly walked in hoping noone heard all of the yelling. In the end the phylacteries
were sacrificed to honor the Ancients and one in particular. It was neatly done, yet now he was known
by the lich as someone to watch. It is hoped that the cat will grow bored with the, ahem.
Bren continues to grow the tree yet he is concerned that few reavers are about. The tree feels, too
peaceful and he himself is not comfortable putting on the warror mage garments. The elder of the
tree seems to take on this as a force of nature when he is about and Bren truly respects his prowess.
yet the elder is growing, um, a bit grey. Time will out and fate will follow. What comes is meant to
be.
