Description

This elven woman is tall and lean, and though she isn't apparently strong or powerful, she does carry herself with a dignified ease that compliments her long, willowy limbs. Short golden hair is swept into a spikey crown atop her head in what appears to be absolute defiance of the traditional elven beauty. The unusual style draws attention to the delicate contours of her face and the graceful line of her jaw. Her pointed ears slope up and away from her high cheekbones, the lobes each adorned by single, blue teardrop gemstones that catch and reflect the light like prisms. She is dressed in casual, but well-made gear and carries a few visible small, but overstuffed pouches that have seen their better days. Prominently displayed around her neck is a thin golden collar set with a sparkling diamond of enormous size.

Role

Beginning to believe I was wrong

Added Thu Jan 6 16:24:18 2005 at level 47:
For a long while, I justified my greed by claiming that I would only be worthy
if I had more than everyone else. I'm beginning to believe that I was wrong.
I am rich beyond my expectations, with more gold pouring in on a daily basis
and still, I am not happy.

I imagine that I bring most of my grief upon myself. I am so accustomed to
living for *me* this last century, that I have shut out most possible friendships
and denied myself the chance to expand my relationships. Xarian is still my only
lasting companion, and though he is human and sometimes utterly annoying, I find
myself enjoying his attention. Gods know I can't get an elf to take me seriously.
That's nothing new, though. I admit, my heart was broken when Iramath decided
that I wasn't good enough for him. It took me right back to my childhood.. I am
still reeling. I don't suppose I'll have it in me to ever find someone to share my
life with.

Moving on

Added Fri Feb 11 13:45:39 2005 at level 51:
Still broken hearted after all these years, Brynne has finally given up hope of ever
being accepted by her people. She's made a blind and bitter decision to shut out
the possibility of love and family and has chosen now to approach the Shark, in
hopes of finding acceptance among his band of thieves. She's spent the majority
of her years alone and it is taking a toll on her, emotionally. She needs to belong and
will do whatever it takes to fit in, even if it means lying or cheating or stealing.

Despite that, she has an enormous capacity to care and is quite the helping hand to
anyone who asks for assistance, and even to a few who don't. Up til this point, she
hasn't stolen from anyone or sold any stolen goods. She's made her gold legitimately
in every instance, through trade or charm. She has a good reputation with the many
merchants of the land and has fought hard to earn the trust of the Tribunals and
the Outlanders alike. It is time to learn how to steal and act like a real thief.

I am nothing special. Not a legacy, not a prophecy, not even the beloved child
of nobility. I will not inherit the throne, I will not lead the Elven Nation, I may
not even get out of bed today. In fact, I may lay here and eat chocolates until
I explode. It would serve them right. Screw them all. Let them rot in their
palaces, let them grow warts on their smooth behinds, let them mate with orc-
kin, for all I care.

The fact of the matter is... only so many people can tell you that you are worthless
before you actually start to believe it. I am worthless. At least.. I thought I was.
Until today.

Forget the bon-bons, I am going to Galadon.

A bad beginning for an average elf

Added Fri Oct 22 13:18:40 2004 at level 1:
Brynne was always average. Period. A constant disappointment to her family. In
their eyes, the only thing she can do right is "fail". She could fail with gusto. She
was denied entrance into the schools of magic - not dedicated enough to succeed
as a wizard - she was not blessed by the gods - 'She isn't even motivated enough
to clean her own room, what god would accept such failure?' - and ultimately, not
strong enough to carry the weaponry and armor of the esteemed Warriors Guild.

Eventually, she became to define her very being as the worthless wretch they all
thought she was. That is a taxing frame of mind for such a young elf, so on a whim,
which she is so prone to having, she packed her bags and left the Vale, determined
make herself "WORTHY". In her mind, her value as a person is based on how rich
and successful she can be. She has set some terribly unreasonable goals and will
make many mistakes along the way. In effect, she is living her life not for herself,
but to prove that she is "worth" something, in whatever way she needs to achieve
that notority.

I feel pretty good right now. I've been busy. I joined the Galadon guild and was
able to donate over 50 gold on top of the joining fee. I made it to tenth on the
roster and I've only been a member for 20 seconds! Yay me! Now, I've got to
work on some other stuff. Maybe by this time next year, I'll have climbed into
the elite ranks. This guild needs a Queenpin. Wouldn't that make mother mad.
Hahaha! Woo! This is great fun!
