Description

A platinum blonde hair color that almost reaches silver rather than gold, deep violet eyes and an almost aqua skin color. Standing a little over twelve feet tall, Bubw quivers with an almost quiet menace. Seemingly distracted, it seems as if he is constantly listening to something no one else can hear. However, limbs twitch in this unique trance, an odd combination of divination and alertness. It seems there are numerous rough spots on the giant's skin, evidently places where less-than-perfect clothing has been worn for ages. It creates callouses in places other than his hands that belie a ruggedness not normally seen in other cloud giants.

Role

Drake Tamer

Bubw is known as the Drake Tamer for slaying arrogant Ragers and feeding it steaks, as well as intelligently grovelling to it.
He has yet to fully ascertain what it is the Drake seeks other than his hammer. He'll likely tell him later.
Or so Bubw supposed.
For now, the corpses of Kale and Aganthas leaked into the ground for the Drake.
Berserkers haven't properly learned to fear his anguish yet.

Bubw instructed him not to kill anymore beings attuned with the wilds and to go on a vision quest, likely detailed in his own role.

Veil's Distress

Blood. Blood of ragers on his hands.

Each time Bubw extinguished the life of a Rager, a burst of mana flooded
through his mind, as the Veil thinned closer to it's proper state.

Not only was it a personal vendetta but also a powerful reminder of that
thing he could feel in the back of his mind since a young age thanking him.

It's possible his father's influence as a Nexan was passed on to Bubw, and
that is how he could faintly hear incoherent whispers of the Veil. Each time
he slew one it surged with power, flooding the world with a tiny bit of new
mana.

Already they were beginning to fear his name and terrain and stick to their
roads. Though the Berserkers talked up a storm complaining about equipment
and taunting him, in reality he could see the fear in their eyes from his
warpaint as he mercilessly ran them down in their own territory.

Slaying Susubienko was a special treat. He talked more loudly than he
actually was lethal. It was beginning to become clearer his title as a
MageSlayer was wholly undeserved as Bubw started to realize the techniques of
a savage (and being the size of a house) tended to negate most of the
techniques oriental assassins used on smaller targets for political purposes.


He was also fast getting allies. Animists who roiled with rage at the thick
veil cutting off their ties to nature. Anti-paladins relishing the chance at
strong targets for their weaponry. Devious transmuters who like to see Ragers
die, and Nexans.

But even alone the Veil called out to him every time he butchered a Rager
with equal rage.

Family Feud and Trance

Bubw had very little parental influence growing up. More time was spent in
the forests southeast of Tir Talath occasionally helping farmers for pay, and
otherwise keeping to himself.

The fact of the matter is that Bubw's father and uncle were feuding. His
father was of the opinion that the world needed to be delicately balanced.
But when it came to his uncle, there would be arguments that the world needed
to be closed off from magic.

Only the fact that they were brothers prevented them from fighting one
another until shortly after Bubw's birth. At that point things came to a
head. The fact that Bubw is alone in the wilderness makes the loser obvious.

Bubw walks that fine line that the more balanced and nature-oriented
wood-elves walk, with a dimmer enlightenment. Much of the time is spent
listening to the whispers of the Veil, while his body fights independently.
It's a balance of discipline martial artists would envy and comes from his
perception of separation from the rest of the world. Lacking magical talent,
his voluntary muscle memory puts his bulk to use frequently while he listens.
