Description

Here is a male elf of roughly six and a half feet. His golden hair is kept cut short and neat in a typical military fashion. Bright blue eyes and a straight nose mark his features, along with an almost emotionless, small mouth. His stance is sharp and erect, which is almost at odds with his long, willowy limbs. At times he appears to be utterly serene, often smiling vaguely off at nothing in particular when silent. However, he can often be seen clutching his shield until his knuckles are whitened, as if barely containing whatever is under his mask of calm, be it rage, sorrow, or joy. His clothes are well cared for if a bit worn down, his boots, though showing signs of heavy travel, are shined to a bright sheen. A long blue coat covers up most of his body, the high collar reaching just under his chin.

Weakness of Self

I am Canewelal Al'Arcald, an elf from a family that knows some fame in
Darsylon. I had a normal childhood, with no great tragedy and yet I am in
self-exile.

The reason for this is that over time I grew to realize that I have been
studying the female figure too closely. At times I was so distracted from my
work at the prospect of a lady that I accomplished nothing and very nearly
injured those around me. I fear that such carnal lusts will portent to a
harsh life. Normally this would not be so terrible, until I met Senstral
Davinden, a female elf I met only four days before my exile. She was the most
beautiful creation I had ever laid eyes on. And yet, for my amazement, those
eyes continued to wander, even in her company. Disgusted at my behavior, she
told me she could never marry such a villain and left me to grieve.

In my own shame, I have dedicated myself to the strict guidelines of the
Paladin Code. To aid me in my quest for celibacy and self-discipline, I shall
ask Baerinika for guidance and strength.

Senstral

Despite my original reasons for joining the guild of the Paladins, I have
since come to embrace the ideals fully. What was once merely going through
the motions of slaying evil has become a full embrace of punishing the wicked
whenever I may. Though I was once fearful of violence and conflict, I now
throw myself into combat with little thought to it's outcome, be it for good
or ill.

It has come to my attention that I am losing myself in combat to release all
of the emotions I have tried to ignore through my serene state. I have begun
converting all of my negative and even some of the positive emotions in my
being into blind rage. Above all of these, is my sorrow and shame, which
still emerge with a vicious bite at the most inopportune times.

I believe it is time to expand a bit upon my actions in Darsylon and what
occurred between Senstral and I. We had met at one of the various parties
that had occupied my younger years. Her long hair, as black as a raven's
wing, appeared so exotic to me. I had never once before laid eyes on a dark
haired elf before. Her eyes, a deep, rich brown were wide and innocent. She
was indeed the epitome of the sweet, pure elven maiden. I courted her,
awkwardly at first from both parties, until we finally kissed. Senstral was a
gentle, shy, quiet woman and it was a difficult task to convince her that I
was her's and her's alone. Only a day after the kiss, she caught me trying to
court a different woman, after proclaiming my undying love.

I shall never forget the look of shame and anger in her normally kind, soft
eyes. It was a look from which there is no regaining one's standing from.
