Description
Celenai is a very delicate looking Elf. Her porcelain skin surely spends
more time inside than under the sun, probably in a library, judging from
studious way she examines the world. Her ice blue eyes hold kindness and
reflect light with an unusual ease, they can be somewhat captivating to
gaze into. Her hair is a silver-gold in color and seems to shimmer, even
when little or no light is present. Celenai moves around Thera with an
ethereal grace, her form sleek and lithe. This Elven lady is quite
beautiful and has rather statuesque features. She examines the world around
her with a serene interest.
Role
Shedding some light on the subject

After years of study, the prismatic spray remained as elusive as ever.
Although she almost had a break through on the subject, she couldn't
manage to put the finishing touches on it. In hopes of enlightning herself,
Celenai began teaching lessons about the prismatic spray at the Inn.
Her first two classes had quite a few in attendance, and most
seemed rather interested in the strange spell. After years of seeing
patrons and Heralds roll their eyes whenever she would speak of the
quasi-elements, Celenai was pleasantly surprised of their interest and
rather enjoyed the role of being a teacher.

For years I have studied radiance, the positive quasi-element of fire, but never have I
written my findings down. Time may favor Elven kind, but it is time I take this research
more seriously. Below are my findings on the radiance sprays, based on intense study over
the last weeks.
Prismatic Spray:
I have spent much time studying prismatic spray in the hall of mirrors, within the lost
Elven vaults. My results seemed conclusive to what I've seen from my helm of brilliance
but it was quite unpleasant, if not somewhat interesting, to be on the other end of it.
Blue light is causes very consistant damage, medium in strength compared to other colors.
Also, it can blind one as a side effect.
Indigo light tends to cause lesser to average wounds, however, it can cause one whom it
strikes to feel quite weakened for a duration.
Violet light is quite sporadic in terms of damage, from weak to painful wounds. It can
cause one to feel sluggish, slowing them down for a time.
Red light is similiar to violet light comparision of damage, however, I was unable to
any noticable side effect.
Orange light delivers constant and steady damage, like blue light, it is also comparable
in terms of damage. I was unable to determine any noticable side effect.
Yellow light is somewhat sporadic in damage, though tends to cause stronger wounds. Once
again, I was unable to determine a side effect. Am I somehow resistant to these colors?
After more than one hundred tests, I am weary to continue this study..
Green light is by far the weakest of the colors, causing the lowest damage. However, it
also seemed to have the most reliable side effect, causing me to feel ill or poisoned.
Even when I resisted it, I could feel myself doing so, unlike the other colors. I also
could not use my magic to cure myself from this effect. Ugh.. I cringed each time I saw
the green light shoot towards me.
White light was by far the strongest of the colors, the only to cause massive damage each
time it struck me. Twice I was taken back by it's power, even through my elemental
shielding. I could discern no noticable side effect, though it was powerful enough that I
still feared it.
Colour Spray:
Another of the radiance sprays, this spell did not seem as destructive as the prismatic
spray. Etielise helped me in this research, volunteering herself as a target. Although we
could only get our hands on less powerful artifacts containing the spell, results seemed
conclusive. Damage was sporadic, but more often than not it did not hurt her much at all,
I contribute this to the fact we were using weak artifacts, but when it did manage to
strike her with more force, I sensed her resist being blinded, though she did not feel
it. This only happened when the spray was stronger, intensity must bring this about.
Letting time pass

With the death of her best friend, Ryasyn, Celenai began to feel the burden of stagnation
in her life. She was so content to joke around with the whimsical cook that without him
she had no goals, other than to comfort Etielise in her grief. She decided to delve back
into her studies, to try to understand the mysterious quasi-element of radiance, to publish
new magical works in the Lyceum, and perhaps even to gather a council of mages interested
in magical theory and study.
Life lessons

As Celenai grew accustomed to Theran life, her views of the world did not change much.
She still believed everyone had similarities, but likewise, she now realized some
people were direct opposites, like fire and water, or earth and air. But she still
maintained the thought that everyone could be connected, through common interests.
Joining with the Heralds only solidified these thoughts, as she grew to know
many different types of patrons. Some did not except her at all, and attacked her, despite
the bouncers standing right there. Still, she continued to look for peaceful
resolutions and similarities. She continued her studies into the elements,
becoming fascinated with the quasi-elements, radiance in particular. Also,
she became interested in learning about runes, and started to memorize any runes she came
across.
When she was tending to the bar, a few younger Elven patrons began to call
her Tin'ril, in reference to her almost sparkling hair. Celenai got quite a
kick out of this and started referring to herself as Celenai Tin'ril.
The Academy
Added Thu Jun 12 01:09:51 2008 at level 14:
Celenai was born the daughter of two prominent Elven mages in Darsylon.
Her father was a powerful Conjurer, he always pressured Celenai to study
the art of conjuration. Her mother was a tranquil Transmuter, she always
encouraged Celenai to follow her heart. Celenai studied with her father often, called to his
side whenever he visited the library of Darsylon, but she yearned to be with
her mother. When it was time for her to go to the academy, her father bid her
to enroll as a Conjurer, but as she reached the gates, her mother's
encouraging words echoed in her mind. She knew little of other magics,
all of her studies were based in conjuration. However, she recalled that
the inner planes delt with elemental magics, she knew she could apply
these lessons as an invoker, and the idea turned into a deep interest.
As she studied the elements, she was fascinated by how they were
all connected, and began to see Thera in the same light. Everything had
it's connections and nothing truly stood apart. As she left the Theran
academy, she took these notions with her.
