Description
A shrouded figure, skinny and writhing, appears to have a woman
like figure underneath the elegent robe that is beneath finely
polished armor. Glancing under the hood, one would notice baleful
amethyst orbs, pulsating ever so slightly. A face covered in bandages
yet adorned by jewels, sewn to the bandages. Reaching from the sleeves
are withered hands, barely covered by flesh as it almost looks of
pure bone. Bandages wrap around half her hands and follows up into the
robe. Beautiful bracelets, encrusted in jewelry, and finely made rings
decor her hands. From underneath the hood falls long straight hair,
a pale white, faded of life in each strand. A feeling of stern, yet
fair demeaner seems to radiate from her being.

Inspiriation begings as necromantic knowledge is sought.

Cerybis grew up in Galadon, just a common half-drow. Her parents
were normal for the most part, keeping out of the way, as most would
disapprove of their relations. Cerybis had a relatively normal childhood,
but grew up without, as they fell ill and passed. Cerybis stayed in her
home for as long as she could, but eventually was kicked out after a few
years when the home became condemned.
Living on the streets, Cerybis took to being a bit street savvy, she worked
a few jobs here and there, but most of her time was spent staying in the
graveyard, next to her parents' tombstones. She spoke with them, and it almost
felt as if they spoke back from time to time. She wasn't terrified of the wandering
undead, as they mostly left her. The graveyard of Galadon comforted her though,
as it was her place of solace.
One day during her visit to the graveyard, she encountered a dark and dreary
figure, muttering odd incantations. The presence of this person freightened, yet
exited Cerybis. They were a gaunt, pale human being, and as each word fell off
their tongue, black swirling mist seemed to envelop the very air around them.
As the mist gathered to a point, hovering over what was now noticed by Cerybis,
was a corpse of a giant. It jerked violently as the mist entered into it's
lifeless body, and then stood! With awe, Cerybis was struck motionless. In
her mind, what she witnessed was a miracle and thought maybe she could learn
this to bring back her parents. Meekly, she approached this figure and found
out that they were a necromancer, a mage of the undeath arts. She then begin
to pursue such in her on life.
The story continues, is there a way to bring undeath to life?

Cerybis joined the necromancer guild and began her journey of finding a way to bring
life back, through the arts of undeath. Little did she know though that this art was
not so much about preserving live, but bringing back the dead as slaves and using the
negative plane as her catalyst in these acts. Though, she learned this fairly soon in
her studies, that did not change her path, as she wished to find out if there were other
ways of applying this study.
Knowledge, more knowledge and even more is what she saught after. She knew there was a
way to bring back animation to the dead, but how does one restore life, is it possible?
She didn't care if it was or not, but new in her studies, she sought relentlessly for
knowledge and try and figure out how to apply it.
After some time, Cerybis gained relevence in the guild, growing a bit stronger in her
studies. Her knowledge grew a bit, but still more was needed. In her pursuit, she began
studying the Gods. Studied as she might, she did not progress much with her own studies,
but did find an interesting connection with Ishuli. Ishuli is the god of knowledge, from
what she learned, and Cerybis was in search of such, who better to learn from, Cerybis
thought. In such she decided in her dedication to seek out Ishuli, her best bet was to
try and join the Blood Tribunal and pledged herself to the cause, hopefully to aid her
in her own quest to see if life can be restored through the art of undeath.
Ramblings of a dream seeker.

I have visited my parents grave and with my power I've attempted to speak with them, though
it seems that my ability to speak with the dead does not reach them. I tried often over
their gravestones but nothing seemed to happen when I focused on their corpses. Are they gone?
Am I too weak, what is the issue? Perhaps the power to speak with the dead only ties to the
negative plane, yet they are not there after death.
I visited their grave the otherday and I cleaned it off. There was a bit of dirt and grime
about the gravestones. I wiped off the name and revealed my last name, Wussrun'wa Lac'nala.
My father, where my elvish heritage decends, said that this meant dream seeker within the
drowish tongue. Since I lost both my parents so early an age, I didn't have much to hold onto
other than this.
I have yet to speak with Lady Ishuli, though I intend to. I have grown quite a bit and finally
become a specter in the guild. Rakiza, my dear magistrate and friend, aided me with going through
the path of the Ghoul tunnels, a dreadful place indeed, even for one with my passion for the guild.
I wish to speak with the lady, but what does one say, how do you approach a Goddess? I suppose I'll
just do as I can and figure it out if the chance arises.
I did manage to speak with the Conservator about the becoming of a mummy, though I don't think this
suits me well. I seek to become a lich, due to the fact that my studies are more focused on learning
about the different energies provided by the many planes of existing, especially the positive plane.
I feel a good mixure of negative and positive can bring life, instead of undeath but more to learn
about such and still in the phase of theory's.
A meet with the Witch, deeper knowledge revealed.

It's been some time since I last spoke with Lady Ishuli.
Never did I think such an experience would be so pleasing.
I have been to some interesting places, researching further
into my task.
Lady Ishuli and I made a bargin, I have fulfilled giving her
an introduction to my work, hopefully the missive was
received.
Now for the interesting parts in this entry. I visited a
Particular lab, still quite intact, even though the mistress
of that lab has long passed, though I did find her ghost.
Kteng's laboratory has a massive library on many things,
though not as vast as the curator's, I did find some very
experiments, notes, and many studies on many fascinating
things. I did find a particular set of books that seem to
mention a few things on keeping life. Perhaps this is how
Kteng has kept her spirit here. Imagine the possibilities
Of restoring that spirit to a body, the things she could
teach us all!
The books mentioned a process of keeping the spirit on this
plane of existing, though wasn't clear to what happens to
if a spirit departs from this world. Kteng herself wasn't
a real chatty ghost, but seeing she is still here is a
notion further towards my own goals. If I could just achieve
the notes on that process, I would be closer to my goal.
Continued findings, closer to undeath yet further from life.

I have aged quite a bit since I wrote anything down. I've traveled a bit on my
own, and even found a few things to to aid in my studies. Trothon, Kteng's Laboratory,
and many others but I know the knowledge I seek is note quite fulfilled.
In Trothon, I found that there is a way to crystalize or capture a soul, but yet to
find a formula on how it is done. Magnificently so, the soul of Trothon was kept in a
crystal before he became a lich, yet he kept it with him even in his own madness and
search for power.
Kteng's Laboratory, she has somehow found a way to keep her spirit on the material
plane, though almost a faded form of her self, like a projection, yet always here. She has many
notes and journals just lying about her laboratory on many different scientific studies
though I believe I've not found exactly what I'm looking for but useful information none the less.
I did venture to the chapal in Eil Shaerie, an interesting place with the high priest lich.
Sadly, I doubt they would choose me as a subject for attempting the elixir so I will progress
in my role for mummification, though I wonder will it be enough for my goals.
I will soon attempt my mummification process, perhaps within the decade, as I've obtained
all the pieces to the conservator's puzzle. It is only time and experience that I
need with the negative magics I study so deeply.
As for my last thoughts, The spire is without leadership and has been for some time.
Even know, the halls which bustled with magistrates, most seem to spend
their time off duty, resting or drinking mead. I am still determined in my own goals in this
matter and still seek to become leadership, as I feel like we are a ship floating in the raging
seas of chaos, with no captain to direct us.
I have worked greatly on Ishuli's wishes, figuring out the details of the warrants
magistrates give, correcting them as needed, and reinforcing the laws when they are correct
in their judgements, and will continue to do such so I can bring forth true unbias justice for those
who defy the Laws of the Four great cities of Thera.
The beckening call of the end as Chaos fills the streets.

It is been awhile since I've jotted down my thoughts as the
last time I did was just before I went through the process of
becoming the undead that I am.
I have transcended the form of mortals and have become one with
the negative plane of magic. Much I still need to learn about this
form of undead. The bias and hatrid I once felt as a mortal has grown
much since the change. I try to fight off these hordes of chaotic
fools, but even now I do get overwhelmed.
I feel my presense seems to bolster the want of those to break the laws,
and sadly without a Provost, they feel eager enough to continue.
I have fought many criminals, killed a lot too while serving my
duty, as well as otherwise. Though crimes only seem to be really
committed towards me, as for what I've noticed. This I believe
is good because those who seek sanctuary here, do generaly have it.
As for my studies, I have found something quite interesting. A soul
that is not tied to the negative plane. The Soul of Veran seems to be
living as I am able to drawer life force from it, yet I cannot disturb
the connection of death to the negative plane. I must learn more about
Veran and his studies, was it accidental, or did he achieve such a
feat knowingly? I feel it is the previous as the laboratory was all but
destroyed, and yet there is also the void of chaos that consumes any
that walks into it's grasp, Even I felt a sort of pain when I fell
victom to it.
I feel a bit anguished at the moment, as I feel that I will not be able
to bring my theory to practice as I am currently in a losing battle
with my enemies and this body. It is not as resilliant as a mortal
body, meaning I lose a bit more of my kept soul, faster than I did
before. I feel like I am so close too, with that little bit of information
just to cross over from theory to practice, but sadly I may not be
to continue if I keep getting losing bits of myself so quickly.
