Description
Before you is a lithe fela adorned with the varied and curious trappings of a
magi. Robes and loose-hanging vestments mostly conceal what seems to be a
small frame, but they cannot completely obscure the supple curves of a woman
her prime. While her clothes are not fancy, neither are they simple-
subtle, handmade bows of reeds and shimmering uncut gemstones have been added
most tastefully. Your eyes are drawn to a perfect black rose sewn into her
robe and surrounded by small, naturally heart shaped rubies that are as
sanguine as the first light of a desert sunrise. The accents make this
witch's clothing seem strangely fashionable and lend her an unexplainable
sense of elegance that would blend seamlessly into any of the great ballrooms
of the palaces or castles of the land. The garments worn by this fela aren't
cut too big for her small frame but they drape over her and hang loosely
nonetheless, because you see there is no fur beneath to cushion them. What
parts of her body and face you can see are hairless and a deep, beautiful
goldenrod color with the soft radiance of a morning sun. Layered over her
lustrous skin is a pattern of deep dappling that fills parts of the intertwin
mosaic of scars she bears, it is reminiscent of a jaguar's coat. The markings
glimmer with a faint iridescence and they show the varied colors of the rainb
as the light dances across her furless flesh.
Strikingly alluring hetero-chromatic eyes, one amethyst and one emerald, hold
slitted pupils that shine irrepressibly from her mysteriously pretty face.
Starting below her right ear, a particularly deep scar runs down her neckline
to her collarbone and disappears beneath her robes. Around the scar, her skin
remains raw and cracked and you see no dappling. Even though the large wound
seems to have been cauterized it still seeps a dark, crimson blood that stain
her pale neck. Despite her harrowing scar, this woman still exudes a natural,
unintentional seductiveness. You also see that

Editor's Note 1: I struggled with how best to present the role I was given.
Finally, I decided to present the unedited source material to make it easier to
delineate between what was given by Dr. Frankenstein and what the monster
develops on her own.
Details: Cexonza lived a life as an Imperial Slave. She was abducted at a young
age and her body used as a tool to sate the Imperial Blades to keep their
morale high. You were coveted out of all the "Imperial Concubines" because of
your thick and silken mane. You must take the Thick Fur Flaw. You escaped that
life when the palace was under assault by the Outlanders. It was the cause of
your freedom so now you seek to be free and be with Thar-Eris. Your love of
animals influenced you to take up study in the shapeshifting guild. One of your
foci MUST be Defense.
Motivators: Cexonza does not trust males due to her abuse. This very abuse has
left her broken and sees herself as "damaged goods" that no man would ever see
her as beautiful or an object of true love. Cexonza has a deep affection for
all animals of nature and seeks to nurture and protect them. You have on
extreme fear of fire due to many of the Imperials setting your mane on fire for
their sadistic pleasure.
Challenge Hints: Your affection for animals stems from an encounter in the
early years of captivity, where merchants from Hamsah visited the palace
showcasing exotic animals. A teenage boy consoled you and comforted you in the
same way he showed love to the animals he tended.
Shoring a bed with many drunken Imperials has made you privy to many tales and
stories of conquest.
Religion and Sphere Details: Your broken state of being has drawn you to seek
out Lady Daphedee and you are influenced by the sphere of Beauty.

Editor's Note 2:
- Cexonza has wandered lost and alone since escaping the Palace. She is
physically free, but her spirit remains bound. While she feels gratitude to the
Outlanders, she doesn't know any and isn't at a place where she can consider
her own potential to help. As such, Cexonza hasn't been living an Outlander
approved lifestyle.
- She found herself in Blackclaw and enjoyed being in a community of felar.
Cexonza employed a strong fela mercenary and over time spoke with her about her
motivations for being a mercenary and her family. She grew very fond of this
fela, but finally let her go home (with much more money than first agreed upon)
because she had been away from her family too long. Cexonza will be completely
incredulous to learn that the Outlanders consider mercenaries who willingly
take the job and who are fairly paid for their work to be slaves.
- Cexonza recently met a young man in the forest that was vaguely familiar. Sel
just might be the boy she remembers from her childhood that showed her kindness
and helped spark her love for animals. He's been nice to her, says she is
inspirational, and wants her help, but Cexonza doesn't know why or trust him
yet. Sel mentioned Daphadee, and Cexonza thinks that maybe Daphadee would have
answers for her.

Cexonza has wandered lost and alone since Sel's death in a fashion
reminiscent of the times after her escape from the Palace. She's more free
than she's ever been, but her spirit is heavy with sorrow and she is
stupefied at the depths of her pain. Cexonza thought before that she knew the
outer boundaries of suffering, but she's now discovering how wrong she was.
While she's in mourning, she's focusing on the Refuge as her touchstone and
immersing herself as best she can in her role as Sunwarden. A precarious
decision looms on the horizon, but first Cexonza must gather the grave
knowledge that will be essential to win her Eternal Victory. Somehow, some
way, Cexonza will reunite her spirit with Sel's.
Sel and Cexonza had been through so much together in their lives. Now that he
was gone, she felt more alone than she ever had. Last time she had been
hopelessly lost, he had been her compass. (Although he may not have always
pointed to true north.) In their youth, his kindness gave Cexonza the joy to
endure her subjugation. When they met again as young adults, not only did Sel
give her the love and support she needed, he also had been the one to set her
on a path to Daphedee, whose guidance had been invaluable. They scoured the
dwarven mountains together in search of ancient statues sought by a
mysterious Collector, and after the Collector had imperiled the whole of the
world with his greed and ignorance, Sel and Cexonza paid a most dear price to
strike a deal with Emnon in order to obtain the key statue that would cure
the world of the baleful curse that afflicted it. For their sacrifice, they
had been rewarded with scorn and scars. As they aged, Sel became the greatest
artist in the world while Cexonza became the Sunwarden. Rather than offering
safety or security, these accolades wrought betrayal for Sel by Sayra's hand
and interference by the Fae Witch. As a final indignity, Sel had become the
focus of all of the Fortress' torrent of vituperation when they could neither
accept nor embrace their own flaws, which led to the corruption of the
Radiant Orb. As they both suffered together, Cexonza had oft joked that they
were the whipping boys for the world. Now that he was gone, she expected to
spend the rest of her life tied to the whipping post alone.

(Continued from last role chapter)
To add to her loneliness, Cexonza fears that her reaction to Sel being tossed
from the Eternal Star has estranged her from Daphedee. Cexonza had been
furious and disrespectful, and she hadn't minced words when she confronted
Daphedee, Sayra, and Olin at the Inn. She and Daphedee haven't spoken since
that fateful day. Cexonza recently tried to speak with the Lady of Flaws and
had been wholly ignored (whether intentionally or because Daphedee was busy
with a party at the Inn she doesnt know), but Cexonza believes that she
deserves this alienation. In her heart of hearts, where the Imperial's
training had begun to make its imprint when she was but a kitten, Cexonza
believes that insolence such as she showed to Daphedee would deservedly be
responded to with harsh punishment. She awaits the impending punishment with
quiet resignation, rather than fearful apprehension.
Cexonza doesn't fear pain, punishment, or suffering any longer. She
understands that the pain she now feels over losing Sel is equal to the joy
she once had with him. She's also long since come to believe that there's
virtue in her suffering, and that her pain is worthwhile if it saves another
from feeling the same. For example, all the time that the Unspoken One had
terrorized and tortured her was time that he had not been tormenting somebody
else, and so she sees her capacity to endure agony as a means by which she
protected the rest of the world. Just as her rattlesnake form allows her to
shed great volumes of blood so that others might stay safe, Cexonza's
capacity to be hurt has always been her greatest tool in protecting others.
Advice
Added Fri May 1 15:21:38 2020 at level 51:
You say softly 'Admund, I need some advice.'
Admund says to you 'Of course, Sunlit Grove.'
You say 'My Cycle draws to a close...sooner rather than later, but I still have
some years.'
You say 'And, like the beginning of my journey, I find myself wandering, lost
and alone again.'
You say 'This is a feeling I know you can understand.'
Cexonza paces slowly.
Admund says to you 'We can, Sunlit Grove.'
You say 'The Lady Daphedee is off chasing a fancy, or some such. Her candlewood
grove is oft empty, save for Cerberuffs and I..'
You say 'Emnon the Unspoken, who has haunted me my entire life, and who I've
baited, enticed, and endured for a lifetime in the hopes of tricking him into
giving me what I wanted, is rumored to be similarly gone.'
You say 'One can never be sure with rumors regarding that bastard, but they
seem to be true.'
Admund nods.
Cexonza raises a bare paw to the Tree behind her sadly.
You say 'The Ancients, in all their power and glory, can do little for a spirit
outside of Thar-Eris... such as the one in Pits of Hell we visited
together...Ergush saw no way to help me.'
You say 'And so I find myself with decades of planning dashed by ... the Fate
that cursed Seer taunted us with?'
Thinking deeply, Admund strokes his beard.
You say 'I'm here. Sel's there, and the bridges I was building have crumbled.'
You say 'And the only others I see who may be able to help me.. well..'
You get a bottle of Gnazzo Absinthe from a cured hide sack made from the burnt
corpse of Killia.
You raise your glass and propose a toast in Admund's honor.
You drink absinthe from a bottle of Gnazzo Absinthe.
You feel tipsy.
You say '... they're risky, at best.'
Admund nods.
You say 'So.. who can I turn to? The dwarf lord? The lords and ladies of the
Light have never
welcomed or comforted me.'
...
Admund says to you 'We have told you, we would do anything we can, go anywhere
to help you find Sel.'
Admund says to you 'We still stand by that.'
Tempestuous winds ladened with the lamentations of the damned carry forth
Gaspare Gnazzo.
Admund says to Gaspare 'Immortal God. We were just going to mention your name.'
Cexonza clasps Admund's hand as she steps between he and Gaspare.
Gaspare says 'Hello, Cexonza.'
The Cat who was to become a Hellhound
Added Fri May 1 15:29:46 2020 at level 51:
Cexonza Drevas now understood that Gaspare was her best chance to reunite with
Sel, and a lifetime's worth of hope hung in the balance. The thought twisted
her stomach a bit, but it did not soften her resolution. Sel and Daphedee both
had placed some measure of faith in the Lich Gnazzo, and so it seemed she would
follow them down this darkened path. But if he wouldn't help her, well then,
she would have to find another who could. If she had to she would deal with
Satan himself, or even with the Father of Devils, Scarabaeus Sacer. Surely
someone would not be able to resist a good soul who was willing to submit to
such darkness.
When Gaspare had most recently approached Cexonza, he bade her to slay dear
Admund to earn his aid, but she had stayed her paw for the moment. In her heart
she knew, though, that before the end she would do even that if she had to. But
even now she remained hopeful she could find another way. She'd learned
throughout her life how best to leverage her insight into one's flaws, and now
she had to discover what she could offer to entice Gaspare.
But Cexonza had plenty of ideas. She'd spent decades scheming out possible ways
to accomplish this final Victory. Her favorite idea was a heist! If she could
get into Emnon's vault while he was focused elsewhere, mayhaps she could grab
talisman she had seen him use (could it be the infamous Talisman of Maalkuth?)
to open a portal into the Hells. It had been a crazy plan when Mizor suggested
it in their youth, and it was a long shot now, too, but when the cat's away...
Cexonza also was curious as to whether or not the painted Lich could be
persuaded by the proper entertainment. Could she put together an event of such
dimension that it would earn his favor? It could be a grand party ... there
could be a theme, and performances ... maybe even a surprise at the end ... oh
how surprised people might be to find out that Honestly they had been at a
goodbye party, a living wake, of sorts! Long ago, Gaspare told Cexonza that
even suicide was a mortal sin, and she had never forgotten these words.

And that is how I'll die,
my anguish to my sullen soul
that must now fade away.
And it will always keep her company,
remembering the joy of her sweet face,
beyond compare of even Paradise.
Reflecting on what love has made me feel,
my soul desires no other happiness,
nor will it fear the torment it awaits.
