Description

This slightly built avian seems to flow with grace that seems unnatural. His crest flows from his head like liquid gold, spilling softly down his back Ghostly pale wings darkening to a charcoal grey at the tips stretch forth behind him. A vibrant red breast peeks out of his clothing here and there. If not for the habitual hunching he would perhaps just clear seven feet in height. His eyes blaze forth with an almost gem-like emerald color set within a ghostly pale face. His beak, a bare nub, is an orange-yellow color.

He has found that it is time to focus on what is in it all for himself.
Time to see if he cannot gather enough to press for the seat of the bandit king.
It will take pulling all his resources, and of course there are those
of the guild who would rather wring his neck than vote for him. Though he
does do his level best to bait all his traps with honey, they still may
not take the bait. If it does not work out as it is hoped, at least there
is always the game of coin, much can be bought and sold that many would
never think to even try.

Bribing his way to the middle.

After building up a relatively successful merchant enterprise, Chirikaw set about spending his hard
earned coins. He joined the guild of thieves in Hamsah, and began bandying about bribes to increase
his status. At the tender age of 18 he had financially surpassed all but the most elite of thieves
within the guild. Only then did he seek out the imperials. Another round of bribery and though he had
only spent about a third of what he had already used buying up informants in the guild other imperials
complimented the young bloodoath on his donations, a shadow even went as far as to try to pry his
'secret' away from him. Chirikaw answered him simply and truthfully, greed was his secret.
Never let a fool pass you buy without trying to entice him to purchase something. Learn profitable
trade routes, who has a preference for certain things... This is the way to wealth, and wealth is the
way to power.

The early years.

Chirikaw's father was a guard for merchant caravans, his mother was of a merchant family.
soon learned the path of gold was the path to power. Gold could buy you what you did not have
or bought people to do what you could not. Learning trade and back alley deals with his mother's milk
also taught him the surest way to gold was within the structure of how things really worked in
business. The more corrupt the structure you worked within, the quicker the path to gold.
The path to gold was the path to power, but the quicker path was lined with daggers... all waiting
for an opening at an unprotected back.

The empire, though costly to bribe one's way through the ranks, would suit his desires for riches
and power admirably. The old addage of spending coin to garner coin should hold true. With greed in
his heart and a gleam in his eye, he set off to make his fortune.
