Description
Standing proudly here is an arial of below average height. His eyes are a
dull grey, peering out from under his thin white eyebrows with a mix of anger
and anguish. He has an average size beak, and his square set jaw and
block-like chin give him an aura of determination, while his brownish red
feathers fall from behind his head in a fair imitation of hair. Though clad
in a stained grey robe, you hear the distinct sound of armor clanking
beneath. Never far from his fists are two sharp, cruel looking knives, though
his hands themselves look heavily callused, as if from much use. While small
in stature, and not possessing of a bulging physique, his agility is plainly
apparent, and it is obvious he is no stranger to a fight.
Role
Rites of battle
Added Sun Feb 24 09:10:38 2008 at level 51:
Ckol had been looking forward to the rites ever since the day the missive
from lady Yean arrived to the village. He spent countless of hours, preparing
for the rites. This was his great chance, to fullfill his childhood dreams,
and to become truly useful for the village. Because who else would be more
suited to become the next commander? Well, Ckol knew it would be hard. He
thought opponent would be Fjarn, the veteran giant. Ckol admire him for
always being so calm in every fight, and always bringing his opponents down
with honor.
As the rites went through, and the test of wits began, only Droghnund, Ckol,
Fjarn, Xarto and Nuentel were left. Nuentel declaring that he had no wish to
lead withdrew. During the test of wits many wise words were said, and
ultimately it was the giant Fjarn, who received the title of commander,
chosing Droghnund the duergar for the drillmaster position. Ckol was
devastated, of course he had known that there was a chance that Fjarn would
do better than him, but he had been certain to be chosen for drillmaster.
But after a little bit of thinking, Ckol realized that things were far from
over, he could still forge the village to the tool he needed against magic.
Perhaps not as easy, and maybe slower but still. He must strengthen his
efforts in gaining the mercy of his lady to make his body stronger, and must
also learn more about being a smith of the Paragon. This will be his first
priority from now on.
A frail body
Added Wed Feb 20 04:21:19 2008 at level 51:
Ckol is getting old, he has now reached the mature age of 31 years, and his
body is already as fragile as someone in their 70s, close to their death.
Countless has the battles been where he has fought for his beliefs and his
brothers and his villages safety, and it has taken its toll. He will now be
seeking the lords and ladies out in hope to have some of his former strength
returned to his body, because he is not yet done. There are still far to much
needed to be forged and learned.
Even though he will never resort to cowardice, he will be more careful in
battle now, putting more control on his rage, coming up with stronger and
better battleplans before heading out.
Second lesson.
Added Wed Feb 13 12:44:15 2008 at level 48:
A few days ago, Ckol finally had his second lesson with the forge master.
Unfortunately he had lost the tongs he had spent countless hours searching
for just day the before, but the forge master seemed to accept that Ckol only
brought a good hammer to him. They spoke a great deal about the fire Ckol
will be using to forge with.
Ckol is certain that if he just can continue to learn, hell be able to
control the fire raging within him, the rage against those abusing the power
of gods. And when he does, hell be ready to forge the world to what it
should be, and the only way he can do this is by following the tenants of
Lady Ysaloerye.
Both the commander and drillmaster has recently passed, Ckol didnt know the
commander very well, hardly ever met him. But he had a great deal of respect
towards Cezar, who was the one that helped him build his hut. But even though
it is a sad day for the village, Ckol is looking forward to the rites witch
he will do his best to participate in, and conquer.
First lesson.
Added Tue Jan 15 13:00:03 2008 at level 33:
Ckol was today granted an audience with Lady Ysaloerye, this proved to be
very interesting even though Ckol was so nervous that he was drunk throughout
the whole conversation. Though the lady was kind enough to instruct the
master smith Forgefeather to teach Ckol, in the way of steel. Ckol learned a
lot from these first lessons, and has been set on a task to fetch
Forgefeather a new medium sized maze and a pair of tongs.
Ckol just cant wait until he gets to have his next lesson, these lessons,
are truly lessons of life.
Seeking the Paragon
Added Sun Jan 13 14:13:26 2008 at level 31:
Ckol has visited Ysaloeryes shrine for the first time. He will now go there
every once in a while to pay the lady his respects, and he secretly hopes
that shell some day be sitting at the inn drink some mead, not that he
expects to be that lucky, just about as believable as the thought of becoming
Commander some day.
Recent thoughts
Added Thu Jan 10 13:18:48 2008 at level 25:
Ckol has been out in the world now for a few years, he has learned much and
managed to be approved by Tahren to become an applicant to the village. It
took him many years to manage to lure a mage out of their hidings before he
had enough blood on his armor and weapons to be worthy, but he did it. On
they way there he has fought others, who has either stood in his way, angered
him or just have attacked him for whatever reason theyve found fit.
During these past years Ckol has learned that the world can be shaped, how
people look at you, how the world experiences you. Both words and actions can
make things people change, or at least listen. And if they do not listen,
actions prove the words valid. And in his life Ckol has always prayed to
Ysaloerye when he had trouble and hopes to one day become her follower.
Fourth chapter
Added Sun Jan 6 16:38:00 2008 at level 20:
During his first week in the guild of warrior Ckol tried to return to his
parents, but he was shunned, his parents being people of the law was certain
that the trial had been just. This was the last pieces of bit that Ckol
needed, laws of the land would never be something hed follow.
Upholders of the law will never earn his respect. And mages, Ckol will be a
mage hunter, he will seek out the village.
But most of all, he will be a hunter of dark knights, he will seek the final
destruction to the guild of anti-paladins. Hell do everything in his power
to hunt them down and have them slain.
Ckol always takes care of the ones he considers his friends, and hed risk
his life to save theirs.
The dream of his life is to one day be the commander or drillmaster of the
village.
Third chapter
Added Sun Jan 6 16:36:44 2008 at level 20:
He ran back out on the street and yelled for the city guards. As they
approach Ckol is overwhelmed and can barley not speak, he just get the words
blood and murder out. The guards enter the alley and find the two dead
bodies, they quickly assume that Ckol is the murderer as he is still holding
the bloodied knife. They drag him off and throw him in a cell to await the
questioning.
Ckol had no idea that Unras father was one of the advisors to the king, a
dark knight himself. Needless to say Ckol did not get a fair trial, and the
questioning wasnt really as much of a questioning as it was torturing.
After being sentenced to a lifetime of prison Ckol was secretly sent to the
tower of sorcery, this was the making of Unras father, he wished for Ckol to
be tortured for an eternity and therefore sent him to the transmuters of the
tower. Luckily while Ckol was being transported to the tower the mages got
attacked. Ckols cage was opened and in front of him a huge cloud giant were
standing. The giant took Ckol to the warriors guild in Galadon, dropped him
off there, and told him to practice hard, and if he felt the calling, he
should seek out the village.
Second chapter
Added Sun Jan 6 16:35:39 2008 at level 20:
It did not take long until Ckol found Unra in a dark alley, bent over an
unmoving body, Ckol run forward to give Unra the beating she deserved for
being... Ummh, in the other gang. As he throws himself towards Unra his eyes
meets the cold glace of the dead body. One of his scouts, murdered. He
freezes up, he cant do anything and Ckol watches Unra turn around with a
crooked smile on her face.
At first she gets a surprised look on her face, not expecting to meet Ckol
right after killing someone. You were not meant to see that fool, now I have
to get rid of you as well, she said. With a sudden burst of rage Ckol screams
and throws himself at Unra hurling at her with his fists. Unra whom already
has begun some lesser martial training easily avoids Ckols fists and throws
him back on the ground. Fuming with anger Ckol suddenly feels his little
knife in one of his pockets. Without hesitations he draws it in the same
motion as he again throws himself towards Unra, Unra is obviously busy trying
to conjure some sort of spell and doesnt even notice Ckol closing in at her
with a knife in his hands.
Within seconds it is over, and Unra is on the ground next to the small
lifeless body of the scout. Her white wings slowly turning red as a large
pool of blood is forming around her. Ckol quickly calms down, he quickly
checks his little friends body for signs of life, but he is just as dead as
Unra.
First chapter
Added Sun Jan 6 16:33:16 2008 at level 20:
Ckol was like most arials born in Arial City. As a child Ckol was very
active, always flying around with his friend playing war games. He was always
pretending to be the commander of the village, he would assemble his group of
friends and lay down the tactics for the upcoming raid against the scions
lead by his archenemy, Unra.
These games started out as just fun play between kids, but as they grew older
the games become more and more violent. Unra was a few years older she had
joined the guild of the dark knights, yet she found her self time to round up
her old gang and go after Ckol and his friends.
One day this ended in tragedy. They were doing the regular routine and Ckols
villagers had made most of Unras scions run back home to their mothers. Ckol
only had his scouts left though, that was what he called the youngest in the
pack that he didnt want to come to any harm. So he sent out his scouts on
the streets to locate the remains of the scions, Ckol also went out on the
streets himself in search of Unra and her pack.
