Description
Corithil is a stunningly vibrant exercise in fluorescent blues and whites
upon a nearly pitch-black frame, with scales that gleam reminiscent of the
night sky at the midnight hour. Swirls of starry dots speckle this saurian's
form, iridescent as if she were covered in diamond dust. A snub snout sits
below slitted azure eyes that seem to radiate her gaze down upon whatever
catches her attention, and her reptillian gaze is so bright that it gives
her the appearance of looking out from the world as if from a shadow. A
tail, lithe and aquatic, cascades out from her hindquarters with whippy,
energetic motions. Hydrodynamic, her form, while powerful, appears built for
cleaving through water at speed. Claws and talons both are a deep, abiding
blue.
Role
Templar

Corithil was raised, not in the Saurian enclave of the Forest Road or in the
depths of Ysigrath, but by the goodly priests of the Temple of Qhabizhan.
Desiring to be initiated into their secrets, she nevertheless acquired a deep
and abiding respect for spirituality, serving the temple's priests while
shying away in terror and instinctive disgust from the wicked ones.
Having met the paladin delegations to the Temple and likewise witnessed the
horror of the Imperial expedition, Corithil realised that it was the Light
that was superior and that the temple was paralyzed, for some reason, between
light and darkness. Giving the wicked priests authority over half of the
temple's proceedings was going to result in them being wiped out.
Attuned thus to the natural world with a preference for the holy cooperation
instead of the wicked pillaging, Corithil was seperated from her fellows by a
vicious bulette attack, finding herself cast out into the wider world. Joining
a priesthood and called by the whispers of Thar-Eris, she seeks to purge the
rot of evil from the Tree and will be a great foe to the Reavers, of a mind
that they are paralyzing Thar-Eris' chances of success in the same way the
evil priests back home were obstructionist and unreasonable.
She desires to walk the paths of Proclamation and Divine Anger, to become a
very loud voice for Good in every way possible, and this desire for the purity
of Nature will spill into a desire to worship Baerinika, the Jaguar Goddess,
in her new dedication.
Far Refuge

Corithil has been making friends amongst the Outlanders, those being Stilsyin,
Braughe and Marmur, in her quest to join them.
Having been extremely fortunate in finding the Jaguar nearly immediately and
seemingly impressing Her with what Corithil intended to do - to slough the rot
from the Tree and destroy the corruption of evil - she has turned her
attention largely towards actually performing that. And the first step is to
become a member.
Unfortunately, the only time she has ever seen Honah has been when she asked
him for entry and he told her that he was busy and immediately went back to
rest. Ever since, Honah has been out of sight, with Marmur and Braughe and the
rest likewise saying that they haven't seen him at all. And Corithil would
rather die than accept entry from Osvolisso, the embodiment of evil that is
amongst those she wishes to cull for the health of the Light and the Free.
Corithil has taken to praying to the Ancients themselves for entry, in the
hope that without a Sunwarden to seek, that They will be merciful.
A terrible mistake
Added Sun Jan 21 13:09:17 2024 at level 43:
A long torpor soaked into Corithil's bones from the shame of accidentally
siccing a mountain lion on a dwarven watchman.
She had been chasing the orcish war chieftain, Watclawsh, through the
mountains near his village, and had called the beast right on that watchman
instead of Watclawsh, owing to a foolish mistake of similarity in commanding
the lion. A misunderstanding. A lethal one.
She immediately recalled back, began fasting, and penned a missive to all of
the Tree's wardens and to Baerinika about her failure, her impurity, and
slept.
She awakes to a largely changed world. The Nightreaver was gone, and so were
many of the undead who stalked the land. Her devotion has resolved itself - it
was a lesson she will take into the future to be very, very thorough with
names. To punish herself more would be to harm the Light for no reason.
While she lives, she can still do good.
